Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng Kiss Until Saliva Can Be Seen, Friday September 28, 2007 Taiwan
Two years ago in "It Started With a Kiss", Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng had a kiss scene. This time in "It Started With a Kiss 2", Joe was willing to add more kiss scenes with "saliva".
Yesterday someone said that after seeing Ariel and Joe kiss in ISWAK 1 and 2, they still do not see the chemistry between them. Someone even questioned his opposite sex interest. Ariel said that that has to do with a problem with their wave frequency. They both do not have the same frequency, so they can only be good friends.
Last night Ariel, Joe, and the rest of the cast were filming on a cruise. In the drama, Joe has to become a solider at Matsu so Ariel was not willing to let go of his hand. The original script did not have a kiss scene. Because Joe is used to doing more than what it says on the script, the two of them kissed very naturally. Who knew that saliva could be seen between them. The director reviewed the scene carefully and confirmed that there was saliva. Joe became embarassed and begged the director for one more take. They had to kiss five times because it was ok and everyone joked that Joe had evil intentions.
The cast and staffs had to take a nine hour trip to Matzu. The staffs were holding motion sickness pills in one hand and a cup of water in the other, as they are ready for the sea sickness. Hearing that everyone is worried about getting seasick, Ariel said, "I rode on a boat many times, but never felt dizzy! When I was at an amusement park when I was little, I never threw up even when I was on any scary rides."
It Started With a Kiss 2 has been filming for half a year already. They are trying to finish the filming soon since Ariel will have to go to mainland next month for filming.

(my comments -- It is pretty ridiculous, they get us all hyped up about the couple and then suddenly few days later, its as if that story of the couple never existed....sheesh, what is going on?!?! if this is all PR crap then it is really getting on my nerves. why won't the truth come out soon? (its like HP-Deathly hallows, got to know the truth right at the end. all the suspense...but it was exciting, unlike this one ...which is annoying me now >.< )
btw, can anyone else notice the way they report their news is SO different than what we get here in US or in India. Or may be it makes better sense when read in taiwanese and it somehow seems contorted when translated...or is it just me?🤔
And another thing....why is saliva seen during a kiss scene bad? or they don't want the scene to be too "westernized"? although iono if i have really seen saliva in any kisses..i never look so closely. o_0 this is a very weird subject to talk about it...
and what do they mean by no chemistry?!?!?! )
