Arjun and Riya looked at the doctor in shock. Riya tried to correct her recalling Arjun's previous outburst when somebody had mistaken him for her husband...

Riya: Doctor, ye mere...

Arjun: Doc, agar ye apni laparwahiya chod degi toh main iski chinta karna bhi chod dunga

Riya looked at him in astonishment.

Raima chuckled: aur sar dard wagera weakness ki wajah se hi hai, thodi khoon ki kami lag rahi hai mujhe, (looking at Riya) jaise-jaise tumhari body heal hogi waise theek ho jaayegi, ho sakta hai tumhe vomiting sensations bhi ho, mild fever aata jaata reh sakta hai, dizziness, nausea wagera ke symptoms dikhayi de but it's all normal.

Arjun: koi davai?

Raima: abhi kuch nahi, aap blood test karwa lijiye, uske baad pata chalega ki kiski zaroorat hai, toh main likh dungi

Raima turned to Riya: take care

Riya gave a light smile and nodded. Raima took her leave. Arjun seed her outside and asked her again.

Arjun: doctor, woh pakka theek haina? Uski physical weakness ko jaane ke liye kitna time lagega?

Raima smiled seeing his concern: aapki wife bilcul theek hai Mr Arjun, transfusion ke baad coma ki wajah se weakness badh gayi hai, ab unhe hosh aa gaya hai toh dheere-dheere chali jaayegi. Ek-do mahine mein woh bilcul theek ho jaayegi

Arjun took a deep breath: thank you doctor

Raima: you're welcome.

Arjun locked the door again after she left. When he went back to the room, Riya had fallen asleep again. She was still in the same sitting position against the headboard. He slightly nudged her shoulder. Her head shifted to the side but it wasn't enough to wake her up. He went closer and scooped her in his arms, lifting her just enough to lay her properly on the bed. He took her hand in his and kissed the back of her palm. He gazed at her a few minutes before moving to the desk.

Arjun mv "isse pehle ki Sikandar koi nayi chaal chale, mujhe kuch karna hoga. he dialled Rathore's number.

Rathore: ha Rawte?

Arjun: Rathore...Riya ne bataya ki Goa ke Bicholim road ke kisi bungalow par use rakha gaya tha

Rathore: theek hai main waha ki local police se contact karke unhe pata lagane ko kehta hun par hume pata kaise chalega ki kaunsa uska hai?

Arjun: batata hun (he gave him Riya's description) aur woh ghar shayad Raunak ke naam par registered hoga

Rathore: ok, Riya kaisi hai ab? Doctor aa gayi?

Arjun: ha bas abhi thodi der pehle, unhone kaha ki ek-do mahine lag jaayenge use firse normal hone ke liye

Rathore sighed: theek hai, main Shree ko bhi saath bhej deta hun, woh immediately use red alert par daal dega

Arjun(hesitantly): woh...tum bhi khayal rakhna

Rathore sighed: main toh khayal rakh lunga Arjun, pehle tum uska khayal rakho jisne tum par bharosa kiya hai

Arjun was about to say something but Rathore disconnected the call. He stared at the phone screen mv "main kaise use sachayi batau Sam? Kaise batau use ki uske saath jo bhi ho raha hai uski wajah main hu?

Suddenly, the window crashed and a weight hit his hand dropping his phone to the ground and injuring his hand.

Arjun: ouch!

Before Arjun could recover from the surprise Riya called out to him. The sound had woke her up in an instant.

Riya: Arjun sir!

Arjun: Riya..

He rushed to the bed and helped her stand.

Riya: sir aap...aapka haath aur woh pathar...

Arjun(impatiently): hume yaha se nikalna hoga...chalo!

Riya nodded. Arjun pulled her along but before they could exit the room a group of armed men walked in.

Riya: Raunak!

The leader smirked: hi Riya! kaisi ho? I hope Arjun tumhe pareshaan nahi kar raha hai.

Arjun glared at him staying a protective step ahead of Riya. His hand went towards his gun as the Sikandar's men surrounded them.

Raunak: ah uh! Sochna bhi mat Arjun warna

He gestured to his men pointing guns at the two of them. Unwillingly, Arjun stopped.

Raunak: apni gun neeche feko! (Arjun didn't) Maine Kaha Neeche Feko!!!

Arjun: Raunak...tumhari dushmani mujhse hai, Riya ko jaane do!

Riya now looked at Arjun with confusion. He knew Raunak?

Raunak: meri aur tumhari dushmani toh chalti rahegi ACP, filhaal agar tum ek aur dushmani nahi chahte toh chup chap Riya ko mere hawale kar do! Aur apni gun feko!

Arjun: Kabhi Nahi!!

Raunak glared at him: tumhe shayad yaad nahi Arjun ki tumhari biwi ko maine kis tarah maut ke ghat utaara tha

The bitter memories refreshed themselves in Arjun's mind. Riya felt the room spinning around her as the realisation of Raunak being Sikandar dawned on her. She clutched Arjun's shirt in fear.

Arjun gritted his teeth: achi tarah se yaad hai, aur zindgi bhar yaad rakhunga aur (firmly) Isi Liye Riya Ko Tumhare Haath Nahi Lagne Dunga!!!

Before Raunak could respond Arjun swiftly turned shooting the man on his right and punching a second. Sikandar took aim and squeezed the trigger. Shocked, Riya managed to push Arjun away from the path of the bullet who was busy with another.

Unfortunately it cost her, her cover. A man pulled Riya to him. She elbowed him but it hardly had any effect on the man. She didn't have the strength.

Riya: Arjun sir!

Arjun: Riya!

He tried to go to her aid but his steps faltered seeing a knife being put on her neck. In the moment of hesitation, a rod came heavily on the back of his head.

Riya struggled in the hands of her captor: ARJUN SIR!!

He fell to his knees. Three men pounced on him tying him up with ropes the second he fell. Arjun aggressively tried to shake them off but the rod came down on his head again.

Arjun: AAAHH!!

Blood flowed out from the wound making his head dizzy and body weak.

Riya(crying): NAHI!!! SIR!!!

Arjun(whisper): Riya...

He blinked rapidly to make his vision clear. Raunak was enjoying the scene of making his enemy helpless again. He walked to Riya.

Riya: Kyun Kar Rahe Ho Tum Ye Sab? Kya Bigada Hai Maine Tumhara? Please Unhe Jaane Do!!!

Raunak: jaana toh use pehle chahiye tha Riya jab uske paas mauka tha par afsos, khair ab hum dono ko koi alag nahi kar sakta

Her eyes widened on hearing the statement. He cupped her face. Riya tried jerk away but her captor refused to let loosen his grip

Raunak: tumhe pata hai, jab tumhe pehli baar dekha tha usi din se mujhe tumse pyaar ho gaya tha (glancing at Arjun) is par nazar rakhne ka kuch toh faayda hua warna ye toh apni biwi ke gam mein aisi ghisi-piti zindgi jee raha tha ki main dekhte-dekhte bore ho gaya

Arjun's mind started racing again mv "iska matlab Sikandar kisi bhi haalat mein Riya ko nuksaan nahi pahunchayega atleast immediately nahi...mujhe kisi tarah in logon se nipatna hoga...ugh mera sar!...

He looked here and there, his gun was lying at an arm's distance. He just had to push the two men off him. He started twisting and turning his hand to loosen the ropes.

Riya snapped: Isliye Tumne Meri Marzi Ke Khilaaf Mujhe Kidnap Kiya? Ye Hai Tumhara Pyaar?

Raunak: ha, yahi hai mera pyaar (he gestured his man to leave her and held her shoulders tightly) Jise Main Kis Bhi Kimat Par Haasil Karke Rahunga!

Rage running through her veins, she punched him but Raunak was quick. He caught her hand mid-way and twisted her arm making her scream pulling her to himself and caging her in hold.

Raunak laughed: come on Riya, maine tumse kitni baar kaha ki tum weak ho, fir bhi heroine banne ki koshish karti rehti ho

She used all her might to push him away and kick behind but it was of no use.

Riya: Chodo Mujhe!!

Raunak: tumhari in harkato se mujhe kuch nahi hone waala hai, aur tumhare pyaare Arjun sir ki wicket toh pehle hi gir chuki hai

He pinned her to the ground.

Riya: AAAHH!

He gripped her neck tight enough to scare her but loose enough to not completely choke her. Fresh tears formed in her eyes. Her hand stretched out to try and reach Arjun.

Raunak: Tum Sirf Aur Sirf Meri Ho! Aur Agar Tum Chahti Ho Ki Woh Zinda Rahe Toh Jaisa Main Kehta Hun Waisa Karo, Samjhi!!

But Riya wasn't paying attention to him. She continued to reach out to the man who always helped her when she was stuck.

Her breaths were turning weak: Ar...jun sir...

Arjun felt his heart sinking seeing her call out to him. All he knew at that moment was her outstretched hand. His mind flashed to the memory of Roshni trying to reach out to him in her last breaths but he was not able to hold her. He couldn't let the same thing happen to Riya. Never!

Raunak turned furious seeing her still pining for him. He stood up. She coughed to catch up on her breath. The next second Raunak stamped on her hand.

Riya: AAAHHH!!!

Arjun: RIYAAA!!

He fervently tried to loosen the ropes. The coir sliced his wrists but he didn't care. They were finally beginning to give away.

Raunak glared at her: Koi Bhi Tumhe Mujhse Juda Nahi Kar Sakta, (crushing her palm further making her cry out in pain) Tumhara Arjun Sir Bhi Nahi!!!

He grabbed her by her hair.

Riya pleaded: please chod do mujhe...please..

He threw her on the bed. Arjun's eyes widened in horror. Riya attempted to jump out but Raunak pushed her back and constrained her. Riya screamed. She tried to kick and punch but she had no strength to go against him. Raunak smirked. She would finally be his.

Arjun: SIKANDAR!!

Arjun rolled over taking the men off balance. He kicked the third, quickly shaking the ropes off and grabbing his gun. Two bullets shot out immediately killing his captivators.

Shocked at the sudden turn of events Sikandar let go of Riya to regain charge. He lunged for his gun and aimed at Arjun. But he was quick enough to grab one of the goons as a shield and the bullet hit his stomach instead. Arjun shot at Sikandar's hand, dropping his gun.

Raunak: AAH!!

The last man charged at Arjun with his knife. Another gunshot rang through the confines of the room killing him. Raunak looked around. All his men were dead. His hand was bleeding and Arjun was standing 2 steps away from him. He felt the ground beneath him sweep away.

Fury was flowing through Arjun's veins. The man who snatched away his love not once but twice was standing right in front of him. His gun went up again. He squeezed the trigger. The gun clicked. Confused, he checked the magazine. It was empty. Raunak smiled. He still had a chance. Riya was not going anywhere and Arjun was injured heavily too.

He lunged forward and punched him. Arjun swerved and punched him in the gut, dropping his gun. His fist met with his jaw fracturing a bone. Raunak stumbled behind. A kick landed on knee dropping him to the ground. Arjun stamped on his stomach causing him to cough out blood. He was about to do it again when Raunak pushed him away making him lose his balance dropping him to his knees. He picked up Arjun's gun and hit his head again.

Arjun: AAHH!!

His head throbbed with pain. His vision clouded again. Another blow on back of his neck threw him to the ground. His injuries started bleeding again. Raunak kicked him over and strangled him. Arjun tried to push him off but his strength was leaving him.

Raunak turned smug seeing him struggle and grapple for breath. He applied further pressure. The next second a knife passed through his chest paralysing him.

Riya pulled the knife out and stabbed his back again and again and again...and again. Sikandar's grip loosened. He turned to see his assailant.

Sikandar(whisper): Riya...

He fell to the ground and Riya burst out crying. Using all the strength he had left, Arjun pushed himself to sit up.

Arjun: Riya...tum...

His voice brought Riya out of her trance. She felt dizzy due to all the stress. Nevertheless, ignoring her body pain she hurried to him.

Riya: Arjun sir...(she supported his body with her arms) sir aap...

Arjun(weakly): Riya tum theek hona?

Riya's eyes threatened to close: ha sir...par aap...(tearfully) I'm sorry, ye sab...

Arjun: chup...kuch bhi bolti ho...(placing his palm on her cheek) Riya...main...

Her body gave away as she turned unconscious.

Arjun: Riya!!!

There was barely anything left in his body. Despite the agonizing pain, he turned to her. Arjun patted her cheek.

Arjun(breathing heavily): Riya aankhein...aankhein kholo...Ri...

His senses too gave away and he dropped on top of her...
