Epilogue

Over the next two weeks,both the officers healed considerably. Riya was now able to walk around for short periods of time as well as the constant tiredness had wearied off. Arjun’s wounds had almost patched up and thankfully there had been no side-effects of the concussions he had received. The doctor allowed a discharge to both of them with Riya having to return regularly for check-ups till her treatment was completed.

Rathore and Ayesha were present at the hospital for the formalities while the rest of the team were unfortunately forced to work on an urgent report. They discharged the two of them after having a last conversation with the doctor and left towards the parking lot.

Arjun stopped short in confusion on seeing two cars in the bay. He turned to Sameer in confusion.

Arjun: do gaadiyaan kyun laaye ho?

Sameer: are khamakha time kyun waste karna? Office mein kaam hai main tumhe ghar chod dunga aur Ayesha Riya ko

His eyes widened: KYUN?!?!

His shout startled the others.

Sameer: kyun matlab?Kaha na office mein kaam hai

Arjun: idiot! Riya ko kaha chodna hai us…

Ayesha: sir uske ghar hi chodenge na aur kaha? Maine kaha tha aapse main safayi karwa dungi? Maine aapka aur Riya ka dono ka ghar theek karwa diya hai

Arjun: are lekin…lekin Riya akele kaise rahegi?

Sameer: akele kaise rahegi matlab? (turning to Riya) Riya tumhe ghar hi jaana haina?

Riya: um…ha sir, aur kaha jaungi? Arjun sir, main utni weak nahi ab, main khud ka khayal rakh sakti hu

Ayesha: ha aur baakhi kaam ke liye maid hire kar lena

Riya: ha, thi bhi, use hi bula dungi

Arjun glared at all of them mv “ye Riya samaj kyun nahi rahi hai?”

Sameer: ha aur agar koi problem hui toh hum sab haina?

Arjun: Problem Hone Ka Intezaar Kyun Karna Hai?!?!

Riya glared at him: Arjun sir! aap kehna kya chahte hai? main humesha problem mein fasti rehti hu?

Sameer pursed his lip sto contain his laughter.

Arjun: are maine aisa kab kaha? Agar achanak tumhari tabiyat bigad gayi toh?

Sameer: ha waise Arjun ki baat toh sahi hai

Riya turned to him confusion as Arjun felt relieved.

Arjun: main wahi toh…

Sameer: Riya jab tak tum thodi aur stabilize nahi hoti tab tak ek kaam karte hai, ek-do hafte Ayesha tumhare saath reh legi, kyun Ayesha?

Ayesha: ha sir, mujhe koi problem nahi hai

Arjun balled his fists: MUJHE PROBLEM HAI!!!

Riya: sir aap aise kyun react kar rahe hai?

Sameer: ha Ayesha koi rakshas nahi hai, I mean bhale tum dono ki zyaada banti nahi but…

Arju: SHUT UP SAM!! Riya Kahi Nahi Jaayegi!!! Woh Mere Saath Rahegi Bas!!

Riya’s eyes widened in shock. Before anyone could react any further. He grabbed Riya’s hand and snatched the keys from Rathore, pulling her along and speeding off as Sameer and Ayesha burst into laughter behind them.

Riya(shocked):Arjun sir!! ye aap…

Arjun: chup!

Riya: are maine kya kiya?

Arjun: kya kiya? ajeeb aurat ho, pehle toh bina kuch kahe sab samaj jaati thi aur ab,ab itna bolne ke baad bhi nahi samajti.

Riya(defensively):par…par…mujhe kaise pata chalega ki aap chahte the ki main aapke saath aau?

Arjun:exactly my point! Upar se woh Sam ka bacha..huh! use toh main baad mein dekhlunga!! Us din bhi jab tum mere lodge aayi thi toh us Raunak ki wakaalat karrahi thi aur aaj bhi

Riya: sir aisa nahi hai…

Arjun: toh kaisa hai?

Riya: acha ab…ho gayi na galti, I’m sorry

Arjun squinted at her. She looked back innocently.

Riya: aur, aur aap firse mujhe utha kar le aaye, agar Shree aur Chotu ko pata chalega toh woh mujhe ched chedkar meri jaan le lenge

Arjun chuckled: toh main kya karu? har baar koi na koi beech mein aa jaata hai

Riya rolled her eyes: toh kya puri zindgi aap mujhe zabardasti utha kar lete jaayenge?

Arjun :Riya, mera bas chale toh (he braked seeing the red light and turned to her)main tumhe apni baahon se baahar hi nahi jaane dunga

Riya flushed, lowering her eyes. Arjun dropped a kiss on her forehead. The light turned green and they set out towards their new life.
