Chapter 1:

Sakshi's perspective:

Kya mein sachme Arjun se pyaar karne lagi hu? Kya Ayesha jo keh rahi thi woh sahi tha? Do I actually feel for him? Hey Bappa!! Mujhe toh kuch bhi samaj mein nahi aa raha. Mujhe toh woh pehele idiot lagta tha. Fir uske tez dimmag ki jhalak dekhne ko mili, and not to forget uske saath saath uski tez zubaan bhi dekhi, "Chehera dekh ke dimaag ka andaza lagane ki koshish karogi toh humesha galat hogi."

Usne mujhe ETF se nikal diya, par mein bhi agle din waapis agayi. Mein itni jaldi waapis nahi jaa sakti mujhe baba ke gunehgaaro ko dhundna hai aur sazza joh dilwaana hai. Tab mujhe Arjun par bohut gussa aya, par woh bhi jald hi shant hogaya uska mujhse chidhna dekh ke. Mujhe challenge karna dekhke pata nahi kyu mujhe uska gussa acha lagane laga tha.

Fir articles likhne keliye case files padhte padhte aur ETF team ka background research karte karte mujhe sab ke baare mein bohut kuch pata chala, Ayesha, Shree, Chotu, Lisa, Sameer sab ka ek normal side outside this field dikha, par Arjun...

Tabhi Roshni ke baare mein aur uss haadse ke baare mein pata chala. Mujhe pehlehi uss gusse bhare chehere ke aankho mein dard dikha tha, ab uss ko ek wajah mil gayi.

Uske dard se ek ajeeb sa apnapan ho gaya, mein bas chahti thi woh apna dard baante par nahi, issiliye maine woh naatak kiya.

Mujhe pata hai maine galat raasta chuna par mera irada toh galat nahi tha na. Par kuch dino baad hi samaj aya ki mera raasta sachme bohut galat tha.

Sameer ne jab usko accuse kiya, toh mujhe bohut bura laga. Aur uss raat jab maine usse cabin mein Roshni ki file ko gale lagaye huye dekha toh mera dil baith gaya.

I felt so guilty. Meine uske uss emotion ke saath khilwaar kiya jiske wajah se woh roz marta hai, 'guilt'.

Sameer teen mahino keliye chutti pe gaya hai aur ab Arjun hi team lead kar raha hai. Aur pata nahi kyu cases aur bhi khatarnaak ho gaye hai.

Issi dauran Arjun apne dosto ke cases mein help karne keliye dobaar Mumbai ke bahar gaya tha. Uske baad uski death ka news, meri toh saanse ruk gayi thi tab. Fir woh call girl ka case, pata nahi uska aur Arjun ka connection sunke mujhe itna uneasiness kyu ho raha tha? Nahi mujhe uspe pura bharosa hai ki woh waisa nahi hai, par pata nahi kyu... ugh!!! Alright mein jealous thi thorisi, nahi bohut, Because I LOVE HIM.

Yes I do. Uske dard se, uske pyaar se, mujhe pyaar hogaya hai. Woh chahe jitna bhi chupa le main janti hu, he also cares for us all of us. Warna Shree keliye, uss criminal ka yeh haal karta? Ayesha ke papa ke operation ke liye khud ke paise deta? Chotu keliye beech raaste mein khaane ka intezaam karta?Aur Lisa keliye puri raath lab mein rukhta taaki use akele dar na lage?Arjun sachme alag hai. Sab ke liye, sab kuch karega par credit nahi lega.

Mujhe mere pyaar ka anjam nahi chahiye, Bappa. Mujhe toh bas uski khushi chahiye. Sikander jald se jald mil jaaye Bappa aur Arjun ka dard khatam ho. Use uski zindaagi uska chain wapas mile...

In sab mein, main case toh bhul hi gayi. Mein aur Arjun jab case ke silsile mein Naagpur gaye the, as husband wife, undercover. Tab waha uss case ka joh primary suspect tha, a characterless, completely 'tharki' man. Woh mujhe apne dukaan ke gehene dikha raha tha, mujhe jab ek ring passed ayi tab woh mujhe ring pehnana bhi chahta tha, but thank God Arjun time pe agaya aur usne rok liya. Warna we would been engaged!!!

Par usne sirf roka hi nahi, khud uss ring ko mujhe pehnaya. Aaj bhi woh ring mere paas hai. Uss din maine Arjun ki aankho mein kuch dekha tha, kuch alag, kuch khaas, jaise..., jaise ki...

Her flow of thoughts were broken by her melodious phone ring. She glanced at the clock, and sighed seeing it showing 1:00 clock in the night. This was quite natural now, may be case call. But she was surprised to see Arjun's name flashing on her phone.

Yes, she expected a case, but Arjun never used to call her at late nights to call her to the office, it was always Ayesha or Shree. He said that her work is to write about their work which could be done next morning too. She didn't know it was genuine or sarcastic but whatever it was she felt good.

Without wasting further time she picked up the call. Only to hear a tensed and hesitant voice that side.

Sakshi: hi Arjun?

Arjun: mujhe tumhari madad chahiye Sakshi.

Sakshi was completely taken aback by this statement of his. She didn't know what he wanted. He was behaving very differently today and the reason is today is Roshni's birthday. Her first birthday after her death, and she was not here.

Arjun had shouted on the whole team without much reason but she could see he didn't actually mean what he said and repented it the very moment but once said it can't be taken back so he left the office in haste. Now he is calling her asking for her help and asked her to be ready as he would pick her up.

In the car while returning from crime scene she silently stared at Arjun waiting for him to start. She sensed that he wanted to say something but was hesitating a lot, So She helped him start.

Sakshi: Arjun jo kuch bhi huya...

Arjun: mein un sabke liye tumse maafi mangna chahta hu, Sakshi. Mujhe woh sab nahi kehna chahiye tha.

Sakshi: nahi Arjun, tumhe maafi mange ki koyi zarurat nahi hai. Main samaj sakhti hu.

Sakshi understood his pain very well so She tried to comfort him in all possible ways completely aware his side, as she herself was dealing with similar pain. However during this small talk she was also taken over by a strong feeling of saddness when her mind went towards her father's condition. She glanced out of the window to control her emotions and again focused back on Arjun.

Sakshi: Roshni ko bohut miss kar rahe ho na?

Arjun didn't know how to answer the question, he looked at her and then on the road. His heart stinged with a certain pain as he visualised her death again for the umpteenth time in his mind. It broke his heart everytime into millions of pieces when Roshni's tear stricken face, her bloodstsined kurti, her extened hand came in his mind. His eyes glistened as he relished this again, that's when he heard her question again.

Sakshi: hai na?

It was rather a statement than a question. Arjun felt unprotected and vulnerable at that moment. Sakshi could read his eyes, his mind so appropriately, she was able to break the tough barriers he built around his heart and left him all open to her. Because of this, he was scared, scared that She might get to see what he truly is. A broken weak man, who needs a hand for support, a shoulder to rest on and a body to hug and cry. That's when his control sliped and he confessed what he thought was a forbidden area for others. His composure was a bit shaken, voice a bit hoarse and eyes a bit moist, that's when he bore his heart to her.

Arjun: main sirf Roshni ko miss nahi karta Sakshi. Uski maut se aaj bhi utna hi jujhta hu jitna shayad uss din jujh raha tha jab uski lash ko maine peheli baar dekha tha. Na jaane uss gusse ki wajah se maine tumhe aur puri team ko kya kya keh diya.

Sakshi: team ne yeh sab kabka bhula diya hai Arjun. Aap hi hai jo humare apne hai.

Arjun: maine aaj tak yeh baat kisiko nahi kahi lekin iss team ke bagair mein kuch nahi hu. This is the only family that I'm left with.

While it took every part of his mind to restrain him from breaking down, Sakshi was undergoing the same feeling as well. Hearing his genuine consession, witnessing his compassionate side made her love for him even stronger. She couldn't help but let out a soft smile to the situation.

That was when his phone buzzed and his suspiscion increased about the minister, when he mentioned about Karan and Robin Hudda.

Sakshi and Arjun arrived at the cold storage, where their lives were about to change in some mere minutes. Were they'd again witness the cruelty of 'Waqt' for one more time in their life. Life was about to change with 'Waqt', may be for good; may be for bad.

Arjun went with Chotu and searched through the rooms but soon realised Chotu was not their with him. Soon he was attacked but he was quick enough to tackle the attacker. But as he came outside the sight in front of him snatched the ground beneath his feet.

His team, his only family was tied across a huge cylindrical object with time bombs tied around their bodies.

The time bombs were ticking fast as he realised "Waqt" was slowly slipping out of his hands again.
