CHAPTER 7
All the lights went dim in the party and Sameer appeared there with a girl by his side. Arjun walked a little forward to have look of the person with Sameer. As soon as his eyes caught her, a very big smile appeared on his face and even the lights went back to their normal glow. The smile on Arjunâs face doesnât go unnoticed by Sakshi.
The girl in no time ran towards Arjun and hugged him tightly and even Arjun reciprocated her in the same way. After a few moments, they broke the hug. And all these things that were happening in front of their eyes, shell shocked Sakshi and Liza.
âKaisi ho tum?âasked Arjun while holding her by her shoulder.
âMain toh thik hun, par manna padega aap toh pehle jaise thein waise hi ho... handsomeâsaid the girl and winked at him. She then turned to meet others.
âHey Shree, How are you?âasked the girl
âMain toh bilkul thik, but you have become more beautiful,âsaid shree and side hugged her.
âIsko flirt karne se fursat hi nahi hai...jahan dekho wahan shuru ho jaata haiâ mumbled Liza under her breathe. The girl walked up to Chotu
âAur aapke kya haal hai?âasked the girl to chotu
âJaisa tha waisa hi hunâsaid chotu and side hugged her
âHey Ayesha di, you are looking so beautiful,âsaid the girl and hugged Ayesha tightly.
âThanks baby, btw main kuch puchu?âasked Ayesha
âArre...aap puchiye...aapko meri permission mangne ki zaroorat nahiâ said the girl.
âTum Shree aur Chotu ko naam se bulati ho par mujhe di kyu?âasked Ayesha. The girl moved a little closer to Ayesha
âKyuki Sam bhai mujse bade haiâ whispered the girl in Ayeshaâs ear and Ayesha smiled.
Then she walked towards Sakshi and Liza and smiled to them.
âAap dono mujhe nahi jante par main aap ko janti hun, okay, so, first I will give my introduction to youâsaid the girl
âMainâ the girl started
âArjun sir ki jaan hai, Ananya Rawteâsaid shree cutting her short
âHello, Sakshi di and Liza di and you can call me Anyaâsaid Anya
âYou can call me just... Lizaâ said Liza
âOkay, as you wish Lizaâ said Anya
âAnanya rawte arjun kiâsaid Sakshi and everyone heard her and looked at her and Arjun was confused
âbahan huâsaid Anya and smiled. And a relief expression came on sakshiâs face
The party then resumed.
Next day
Arjunâs home
On the breakfast table
âbhai mai aaj aap ke saath etf office chalna chahti hun pleaseâ
âpar tum wahan kya karogi aake,I mean ki agar koi case hua toh hum sab case solve karne mein busy ho jayaenge then you will feel boredâ
âmain cases ki files padhungi, pleaseâ
âOkâ said Arjun with a smile
âthank uâ Anya then hugged him.
At the etf office
Everyone except Sameer and Ayesha was in the cafeteria and talking when they saw Anya and Arjun coming. Anya excitedly walked towards them and Arjun went directly to his cabin.
âHi everyoneâsaid Anya
âHiâsaid all in unison
âTum office mein kaise?âasked shree and walked towards Anya and kept his hand on her shoulder
âGhar pe bore ho jaati isiliye office aa gayiâsaid anya
âAcha kiyaâ said Chotu
âHaan, bahut acha kiyaâ said Shree and then looked at Liza and added, âtum rahogi toh mujhe acha lagega nahi toh kuch log toh sirf mood off kartey haiâ
Liza gave a look to Shree and walked towards Anya
âHaan Anya, tumne bahut acha kiya but ek cheez ka dhyaan rakhna...Shree se door rehna warna ye tumhe bhi apni bakwaas se pagal kar degaâ
âLizaâ said Shree
âWhat? Mr. Specky Senâ said Liza and before he could say anything more, she walked away from there to the conference room. Shree turned to Anya
âUski baaton pe dhyaan mat denaâ said Shree
âLiza ne tumhare naam⌠Specky Sen rakha hai?..cuteâ said Anya
âAnya..please, itâs not cuteâ said Shree irritatingly.
Anya then walked to Sakshi who was standing their listening to their baseless talks and smiling.
âHume toh baat karne ka kal mauka hi nahi milaâ said Anya
âHaan...par koi baat nahi ab kar lengeâ said Sakshi
âAnyaâ called Chotu from behind. Anya looked at him.
âBe careful, Sakshi bahut batein karti hai tum suntey suntey thak jaogiâ said Chotu and both Shree and Chotu laughed.
âSeriously Shree?â said Sakshi
Shree looked at Chotu
âChal bhai..bahut kaam haiâ said Shree and they left.
Anya then looked at Sakshi
âSakshi Di, agar aap free ho toh kya hum baith kar baat kar saktey haiâ
âYeah sureâ
Then they took a table in a corner and Sakshi sat there. Anya went towards the counter and asked for a coffee. She then arrived at their table and sat down. she took a sip of the coffee.
âSakshi di, vo mujhe aapki likhi hui case ki reports padhni thiâ said Anya
âKyu?â
âActually, I am doing LLB, and mujhe criminal lawyer banna hai..soâ
âHaan kyu nahi..main tumhe raw copies de dungi..because jo hum newspaper mein print hone ke liye dete hai, usmein kuch kuch cheezen mention nahi kartey warna public mein ek dar aa jata haiâ
âOh..okay...thank youâ
âBtw, tumhe kaise pata chala ki main reports likhti hun?â
âBhai ne bataya..keh rahe thein ki aap bahut acha likhti haiâ
âWhat?...Arjun ne aisa kaha?â asked Sakshi softly out of amusement.
âHaan...kyu, bhai aapki tareef nahi kartey kya?â
âKartey hai na...itni tareef kartey hai ki..kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki taunt hi maar rahe hai. Personality ke thoda opposite hai naâ said Sakshi with a fake smile while looking at Arjun who was at some distance and talking to someone.
After a few moments, Arjun felt that someone was looking at him. He turned towards Sakshi and found her looking at him. They had an eye lock for few seconds and this didnât go unnoticed by Anya.
Anya smiled and silently went from there without disturbing them.
