Hello Ariya lovers ;-) like i had promised here is the first glimpse of Riya 's comeback as a teaser (^_-) so sorry if it is too much fictional but i wanted something like this to happen in the show since Riya died so i wrote it here. (bear with it :-P)

Also i love Rathore - Ayesha so you will too get to read their love story with Ariya :-* Enjoy.!

The Wait

Teaser---

"pura room achhe se check Karo. Har ek file, har ek paper ko double check Karo. Hospital me kya chal raha hai ye yahin se pata chalega.

Shree vo computer se sare data check Karo. Fast."

Rathore ordered, as soon as his whole team barged inside the secret room and all spread out starting their search operation in every corner of the room.

"ye toh kuch medicines ki requirement lists hai."

Ayesha murmured while checking a file.

"aur yahan sayad medicines prepare karne ki processing likha hai. Ye sare formulas and all.."

Sakshi added checking upon another file.

Both nodded their heads at each other and resumed their work.

Chhotu was checking the drawers, when he got something among few papers and stood up.

" Sir, mujhe ek note book mila hai jisme kuch logon ke naam likhe hain."

"Ye kahin wohi notebook toh nahi jiski baare me Raghu marne se pehle baat Kar raha tha? Chhotu check Karo Usme kahin bhi Raghu ka naam likha hua hai kya.?"

Arjun asked thoughtfully, then went back to the file he was reading.

"Dekhta hun sir."

Replied chhotu, and flipped over the pages of that notebook.

"haan sir, iske piche Raghu ka naam likha hai."

He declared few minutes later.

"iska matlab ye unn patients ke naam hai Jo jinda hai, per doctors ne unhe mara hua bol diya hai.? "

Ayesha piped in, curiously.

Chhotu looked at her, then at the notebook, in surprise.

"Per ye toh kuch 30 se upar honge log."

All turned their heads to him that instant , stunned.

"kya.? 30 se upar.?"

Rathore muttered in shock.

"haan sir."

Chhotu confirmed his doubt.

"itne Sare logon ko duniya ke liye mara hua batake, ye doctors unke sath kya kar rahe hain? Abhi kahan honge ye sab? Aur zinda bhi hai ya..?"

Sakshi blabbered in disbelief, thus all fell silent afterwards?

"Hum jitna soch rahe the ye sab usse bhi kuch bada kar rahe hain Rathore."

Arjun chirped eyeing him intently,and Rathore silently agreed to him.

"ek min... Chhotu,Usme Jo naam likhe hain jara ek ke baad ek padhna."

Shree spoke, with his eyes fixed on the computer screen.

"haan Aakash chhabra, Rupesh Kumar, Anjali Taneja, Dev Mathur.. Isme toh Anita ji ke bete ka naam bhi hai."

Chhotu murmured, astonished.

"Sir, notebook me Jo patients ke naam hai, yahan unki puri details hai. Jaise ki vo kis din hospital me admit hue the, unhe kya bimari thi sab Kuch, Vo bhi unke photo ke sath."

Shree explained, hence Rathore came and glanced at the screen briefly.

"ek kaam Karo chhotu tum sare naam padhte jao, aur Shree check Karo kya sabke details available hai?

Agar kuch extra patients ka naam nikalta hai toh usse note down Karo. Quick."

"yes sir."

Both shree and Chhotu said in union, before going back to their work.

"Rathore."

Arjun called out.

"kuch mila Rawte.?"

Rathore approached him quickly.

"ye dekho, Kuch foreign companies ke naam pe presentation ready kiya jaa raha tha, deal ke liye . companies ki list hai isme. " Arjun handed him few papers.

"kis cheez ki deal.?"

"ek medicine ki."

Then Arjun thought something, before continuing speaking.

"ab kuch kuch samajh me aaraha hai Rathore.

Inn logon ne kisi medicine ki khoj ki hai, Jo na India na kahin bahar available hai.

Ye presentation dikha ke Jo bhi foreign company zyada bhav dega, usse vo medicine bech diya jaayega. Lekin ye presentation adha hi hua hai, pura nahi. "

" itna chori chhupe kaam ho raha hai, upar se crime kiya hai inn logon ne. Toh vo medicine koi achhe kaam ke liye toh ni hoga for sure. "

Rathore shook his head.

" Exactly. Medicine koi achhe purpose ke liye hota toh doctors itna bada racket ni chalate, Vo bhi hospital me. "

" Per ek baat samajh me ni aaya, medicine ki deal se unn masoom patients ka kya lena dena hai.? "

" lena dena hai Rathore.

Medicine naya hai, toh Zahir si baat hai uski testing kiye bina kisiko ni bech sakte.

Yaad hai Raghu ne statement me kya kaha tha? Ki usse aese patients pe najar rakhne ke liye kaha jaata tha jiski khabar lene wala koi na ho, ya jiski pariwar walon ko uske bachne ki umeed Kam ho ya doubt ho.

Kyunki aese logon ki maut se kisiko Shaq ni jaayega, aur doctors aaram se patient ke jaise dikhne wale kisi dusre admi ko uska face mask pehna ke mara hua bata sakte hain.

Aur Jo asli patient hain unpe ye medicine ki testing ki jaa rahi hai. "

" matlab ho sakta hai, abhi tak jitno ki maut hui hai unki maut ki wajah vo medicine ho.? "

" ho sakta hai. "

Both Rathore and Arjun sighed, when Rathore realised chhotu had stopped speaking, and Shree, Ayesha were calling him again and again.

" chhotu kya hua? Ek toh ye computer itna slow chal raha hai, upar se tum kyun ruk gaye.? "

Shree cringed.

" chhotu, Shree kuch keh raha hai."

Ayesha tried to shake him, but he was standing like a statue, eyeing the notebook blankly.

"Chhotu.?"

Both of their chiefs came standing near them, while Rathore shook him causing chhotu to jerk up with fresh tears rolling down of his eyes.

Rathore softened a little.

"kya hua hai chhotu.?"

"Sir vo vo..."

Chhotu stammered pointing at the notebook, then wiped his tears with his palm.

Arjun took the notebook from him and checked the front en back of it,but found nothing.

Taking a glance at chhotu's state he went through the patient's names, Rathore too joined him.

After some 2 pages Arjun suddenly stiffed on reading a particular name in the 3rd page, and he rechecked the list to ensure he read the name right.

The creased confused lines from Rathore's forehead disappeared, as soon as his eyes fell on the same name, hence he took the notebook from Arjun staring at the name blankly.

"guys kya hua? Sab suddenly itna tensed kyun hogaye.?"

Sakshi asked confusingly, specially eyeing Arjun.

"Sir, kiska naam likha hai Wahan.?"

Ayesha asked in a low voice.

"Riya Mukherjee."

Rathore replied, still in a daze, whereas Shree stood up from his chair that instant.

Sakshi and Ayesha looked at each other, then at their team members.

They may not know what attachment the girl had in their lives, but they knew the name.

They knew why Shree and Chhotu used to be silent sometimes in between their chit-chats, why Rathore used to look away at the mention of that brave girl whom he failed to save,why a tough guy like Arjun Rawte's face used to soften at her one mention.

And now by looking at their faces they could see the emotional trauma they were going through ;though it was hard to fetch any changes on Arjun's face, but then sakshi knows him a little after all.

"Per.. Ye Koi aur bhi toh ho sakti hai."

Ayesha murmured and Rathore looked up to her nodding in understanding.

"shree, pehle Chhotu ko Pani pilao."

"ji sir."

Shree blinked back his tears and took the glass of water from the table, when his eyes moved to the computer screen in front of him.

The next thing all heard was the breaking sound of the glass that scattered on the floor in pieces and turned around to witness a stunned Shree taking few back steps abruptly.

"Shree.?"

Arjun looked puzzled, while others went forward towards him.

"Sir ye kaise ho sakta hai.?"

Shree gulped, sounding in disbelief.

Everyone followed his gaze to the screen and their doubts were clear now.

"ye toh wohi hai."

Sakshi's lips parted a little in shock.

Rathore couldn't blink his lashes from the details of the patient no - 39 Riya Mukherjee, displaying on the screen.

Chhotu now smiled faintly, getting to see her face Again.

And Arjun leaned over the table to take a closer look at the photo of the patient.

Dressed in the hospital robe and an oxygen mask over the face , the girl laying on the bed was none other than Riya, and he suddenly remembered the day he had closed her eyes taking her as dead.

Hello.. First of all Sorry for the late update, that's why i decided to update first tonight then will reply to the comments later. :-) up

Another thing is -" FROM THE NEXT PART I WILL CUT THE CASE SHORT CAUSE I CAN'T WAIT MORE TO BRING MY RIYA AND ARIYA BACK.. don't worry their will be the brief explanation of the case so that you won't get confused.

"Sir, matlab dono families Jo keh rahe hain vo sach hai.?"

Shree asked incredulously.

"ye toh tay hai ki Anita ji aur ab ye family jinhone media me statement diya hai, inn ke baaton me kuch toh Sachai hai. Aur vo Kitna hai, ye hame dhund ke nikalna hai."

Rathore leaned over the big glass table in the center a little by resting both of his palms on it.

" aaj Subah Sanjeevani Hospital ka ek junior doctor Sudeep Jain commissioner office aaya tha, aur vo ETF se milna chahta tha issliye commissioner sir ne mujhe aur Rawte ko Wahan bulaya tha. Hum wohi se aarahe hain."

He added, then looked up to Arjun.

"ek junior doctor ETF se kyun milna chahta tha.?"

Ayesha looked puzzled.

"kyunki Sudeep ko lagta hai ki hospital me sach me kuch unusual chal raha hai jiski wajah patients ki maut ho rahi hai."

Arjun replied.

"usne ye bhi bataya ki 3 din pehle hospital me Jo Dev Mathur ki maut hui thi, Vo uske surgery ke dauran khud operation theater me tha."

Rathore chirped, sitting on his chair.

"jab tak vo operation theater me tha tab tak surgery thik chal rahi thi, aur bich me ek senior doctor ne usse dusre patients ko check karne ke liye bahar bhej diya aur Ussi din raat ko usse khabar mili ki patient ki maut hogayi thi. Wajah-excess blood loss. "

Arjun finished.

" Per ye ek coincidence bhi ho sakta hai. "

Sakshi pointed out.

Arjun explained thoughtfully.

" per aaj Subah ke news dekhne ke baad usse laga ki uske job se zyada important logon ki life hai, issliye kisiko bina bataye usne hame report kiya.

Isse pehle ki kuch aur ho, commissioner sir chahte hai ki hum ye case undercover jaake solve kare."

Rathore said in a finalized tone, that made all heads snap upto him, except the Co-chief of course.

" Undercover.? "

All four muttered in union, then exchanged looks between each other.

" haan. Kyunki Subah news release hone ke baad local police hospital me Puch tach kar rahi hai. Lekin hospital ka koi bhi staff, koi bhi doctor apna muh kholne ke liye taiyar hi ni hai.

Ministry ki pressure padne se pehle hame ye case jald se jald solve karna hai. "

Few hours later...

All were sitting in the conference hall on their respective chairs, analyzing every info they had till now, to come up with a perfect plan, when Chhotu spoke up breaking the silence.

"Sir hame undercover jaane ki kya jarurat hai? I mean Sudeep Jo doctors ke naam lega hum unhe arrest karke interrogate kar sakte hai na.?"

"Nahi chhotu hum sirf Sudeep ke statement ke basis pe kisiko arrest ni kar sakte,jab tak hamare pass koi proof na ho.

Waise bhi itne bade hospital me gadbadi chal rahi hai, toh uske piche bada hath hoga."

"Aur bada maqsad bhi."

Arjun added and Rathore nodded his head.

"Right. Kal tak Jo mamuli baat lag rahi thi aaj vo ek complicated case ke roop me samne aaya hai.

Aese me agar hum doctors ko arrest karenge, toh ho sakta hai unka mastermind alert ho jaaye . Issliye ye undercover ka idea hi thik, bas execute kaise karna hai vo socho. "

" kyun na hum koi couple ko Wahan bheje? Koi solo jaayega toh ek time pe sab pe najar ni rakh sakta. "shree suggested.

" lekin Jo bhi jaayega usse Wahan rehna padega. Toh agar hum Wahan Jhuthi bimari ka bahana karke bhi jaayenge, toh Wahan sab doctors hai. Hame pehchan lenge. "

Ayesha objected.

" uske liye Sudeep hamari help karne ke liye taiyar hai.hum Kuch din Wahan reh bhi sakte hai aur sab pe najar bhi rakh sakte hai. "

Rathore shrugged.

" Perfect. Toh Arjun aur mai jaaye Wahan couple banke.? Arjun ki toh waise bhi sharp observation skill hai, aur mai bhi crime reporter reh chuki hun,so case ke liye achha hoga na.? "

Sakshi grinned in excitement.

" bolne se pehle agar apna dimag ka use karogi Sakshi toh case ke liye aur bhi achha hoga.

Mai Wahan ek baar jaa chuka hun, ab agar mai Wahan sach me patient banke bhi jaaunga, toh unhe Shaq hi ni pura yakeen hojayega ki mai unpe najar rakh raha hun.

Issliye Rathore aur Ayesha couple banke jaayenge. "

Arjun declared and unnoticeably Ayesha's face beamed a little.

" chhotu aur Sakshi Wahan visitors banke jaayenge.

Ek baat maine hospital me notice ki thi - Wahan kahin bhi Cctv cameras ni hai, Jo thoda strange hai per hamare liye achha hai, so Ayesha tumhara pehla kaam hai Wahan jagah jagah micro cameras fit karna, jisse mai aur Shree yahan se najar rakh sakte hai. Am i clear.? "

" yes sir. "

Ayesha nodded, while Arjun continued.

" aur haan hamara pehla suspect hai DR. SHUKLA. "

" tum abhi bhi uski attitude ko issue banake baithe ho Rawte?

Jaanta hun tumse bardast ni hua ki Kisine tumhare samne tumse bhi zyada attitude se baat ki, lekin iska matlab ye ni ki tum team work me apna personal agenda leke baitho, aur kisiko Zabardasti mujrim banao. "

Rathore chided, clearly displaying his irritation?

" mujhe bharosa hai itne saal police force me Job karne ke baad,mujhe aur aapko itni samajh toh hai ki kisiko dekh ke bata sake ki kaun sach bol raha hai aur kaun jhuth. Aur kaun kuch chhupane ki koshish kar raha hai.

Ab ye baat aap samajh gaye, ya phir mai aapko SAMJHAUN ..SIR.? "

The atmosphere suddenly tensed, as both of the chiefs refused to drop the glare they were throwing at each other ;while the fellow teammates remained mute spectators like always for being habituated with such scenes from a long time.

"uh.. Guys sab thik hai, per abhi bhi ek problem hai."

Sakshi's voice brought a pause to the glaring session, and all turned their heads to her curiously.

"Kya.?"

Ayesha questioned.

"mana ki Sudeep hamari help karega, lekin hame ni pata Sudeep ke alawa Wahan kaunsa doctor achha hai, aur kaun bura.

Ab Sudeep toh Sameer aur Ayesha ke sath 24hrs ni reh sakta, aese me agar hum fake injuries leke jaayenge, aur kisiko Shaq hogaya toh.?"

Sakshi raised her brow.

" Kisne kaha hum Wahan fake injuries leke jaa rahe hai Sakshi.? "

Rathore asked back, hence all heads now turned to him, including Arjun's.

" Sir, matlab.?"

Shree murmured.

" late hogaya hai, tum log ghar chale jao. Kal Subah hum yahin milenge aur yahin se hamari plan ke liye niklenge. Got it? Good night. "

Rathore got up from his chair and started walking towards the exit, leaving all confused behind.

Arjun stared at his retreating back intently, and then something stroke his mind?

" Jo barso pehle chhod diya tha, usse ek din me wapas shuru karna thik nahi hai Rathore."

His voice caused Rathore to stop near the door and turn around staring at him blankly.

"Barso pehle maine dusron ka sunna chhod diya tha Rawte."

And he was gone without looking back for once, thus Arjun sighed before leaving from there.

Others tried to register what just happened, when Ayesha became a little worried.

"Rathore sir kya keh rahe the? Unka kya matlab tha.?"

"usse pehle Arjun sir kya bolke gaye vo samajh me aaya.?"

Shree questioned back, to which Ayesha shook her head in negative.

"inn dono ka kabhi kuch samajh ni aata."

Sakshi murmured in disbelief.

"Haan. Kabhi kabhi lagta hai jaise ek dusre ke baare me sab Kuch jaante hain, aur kabhi kabhi lagta hai jaise ek dusre ko hi nahi jaante."

Chhotu sighed and others silently agreed to him.

"Good morning everyone.

Sakshi greeted cheerfully entering the bureau,hence Ayesha looked up from the file she was reading.

"morning.kya baat hai,aaj itni khush? Promotion ho gaya kya.?

Ayesha asked ,for which Riya too smiled looking up to them.

"arey agar promotion milega na toh bhi mai ni lungi.

Came sakshi's reply.

"aesa kyun.?

Riya's brow raised.

"kyunki jo khushi yahan hai,vo promotion me kahan.?

Wese meri khushi ki wajah ye hai ki maine aaj subah subah ek romantic movie dekhi.

Sakshi grinned.

"aur.?

Riya asked ,feeling sakshi's words were not complete yet.

"aur usme se mujhe idea aya ki Arjun ke sath apni baat kaise aage badhaya jaaye.

As soon as Sakshi finished her line Riya's gaze lowered a little,which went noticed by Ayesha only.

"dekho mai soch rahi thi ki kab tak aese slow motion me chalti rahegi meri gaadi,aage badhne ke liye kuch toh karna padega na.?

Sakshi continued .

"toh kya karogi.?

Ayesha mumbled slowly.

Sakshi put a file on the desk ,en the thermos next to it with the grin never leaving her face.

"ye rahi file ,ye rahi cutting chai aur vo raha Arjun ka cabin.

"per tum karne kya wali ho.?

Riya looked at her curiously.

"arey zyada kuch nahi,bs Arjun se help mangungi file ko complete karne ke liye aur phir chhoti si cutting chai date.

"oh.

"haan. Ab chalo mai jaati hun.

Sakshi got up to leave ,whereas both Riya & Ayesha kept watching her until she entered arjun's cabin and shut the door at her back.

Riya gulped looking down to the file in front of her ,unaware of Ayesha's constant gaze on her who somewhere felt bad for her.

"umm..ek baat puchun Riya.?

"haan.?

Riya uppered her lashes up to her.

"kal Jafar ki wife se baat karte waqt mere mann me ek sawal aya tha aur aab bhi hai.

Agar vo Sarfaraz se pyar karti thi toh unhone usse bataya kyun nahi? Agar bata deti toh sayad unki life kuch aur hoti.

"maybe unhe laga hoga agar vo sarfaraz ko apni feelings ke bare me bata degi toh kahin vo unse apni friendship na tod dein.

Ya phir unhe pata hoga ki sarfaraz ke mann me unke liye koi feelings nahin hai,issliye sayad ni bataya.

Riya answered thoughtfully.

"per batana jaruri hai na? Agar kisike liye feelings hai ,toh samne se batana bhi jaruri hai.nahi toh usse pata kaise chalega.?

"nahi Ayesha mujhe nahi lagta batana hamesha jaruri hai.

Kabhi kabhi agar dono me same feelings ho toh dono ko ek dusre ke bare me pata chal jaata hai,per jab feelings onesided ho toh batane se samne wala guilt feel karne lagta hai,ki vo same feel ni karta.

Aur wese bhi felings kabhi expectations ke sath ni rakhni chahiye.isme khud ko taklif hoti hai,aur dusron ko bhi.

Came Riya's reply ,thus Ayesha started thinking over her words.

"you know what? I understood what you wanted to say and you are right.chalo iss baat me coffee peete hain ,Ayesha special coffee.

Ayesha spoke getting up from her chair and Riya smiled accompanying her.

"achha ye Chhotu,Shree kahin dikh ni rahe hain.kahan hai subah se.?

Riya asked as they approached the cafeteria.

"vo Rathore sir ne dono ko kuch files diye the Liza ko dene ke liye,bas ussi ke liye gaye hain.

Shree ko call kiya that oh usne bataya raastein me chhotu ko uski 11.30 wali dikh gayi,issliye wahin ruk gaya hai uska naam puchne.

Ayesha chuckled,whereas Riya's eyes widened.

"really.?

"haan.lagta hai iss baar Chhotu jaan ke rahega uska naam.

"achha hai.atleast Chhotu settle ho jaayega. ETF team ka all alone' record toh tutega.

Riya too chuckled along with Ayesha who went to prepare coffee ,meanwhile Riya sat on a chair near her.

Suddenly a thought stroke her mind making Riya snap her eyes upto Ayesha that instant.

"achha Ayesha,sabki baat chodo tum kab settle horahi ho bataya nahi? "

"mai aur settle? Uske liye abhi bahut time hai.

Ayesha shrugged.

"achha? Ye tumhari akele ki decision hai ya Rathore sir ki bhi.?

Riya teased,casuing Ayesha to turn around to face her with wide eyes.

"Ra..rathore sir kahan se agaye yahan.?

"kahan se aaye matlab vo toh pehle se hi hai na.?

Riya played with her brows.

"KAUN KAHAN PEHLE SE HAI.?

Both Riya & Ayesha's eyes widened as soon as they heard Rathore's voice at their back ,thus Ayesha mentally facepalmed herself en Riya bit back a grin.

"uh...i hope maine tum dono ko disturb ni kiya.

Mai bas coffee lene aya tha.

Rathore added to clear the awkwardness en it worked as Ayesha relaxed a bit.

"oh.sir aap rukiye mai bana deti hun.

Ayesha offered with a small smile.

"no no it's okay.tum dono baat karlo mai bana letaa hun.

Rathore shook his head.

"it's okay sir,mai wese bhi hum dono ke liye bana rahi hun,aapke liye bhi kar deti hun.

"ok.

"umm..sir baithiye na jab tak coffee ban raha tab tak.hum aap hi ki baat kar rahe the.

Riya blurted out ,but regretted out the next moment seeing ayesha's glare thrown at her & rathore looked puzzled.

"uh...matlab sabke bare me baat kar rahe the.

Riya corrected herself biting her lip.

Rathore nodding sitting on another chair,then looked up to the duo.

"wese kya baat kar rahe the.?

"vo sir hum sabki settle hone ki baat kar rahe the.aur mai Ayesha se puch rahi thi ki vo kab settle hona chahti hai.

Riya answered purposely giving Ayesha a teasing look who looked away pretending to be busy in making coffee.

"aur.?

Rathore turned to Ayesha seeming curious.

"bas Ayesha bol rahi thi ki vo settle hona chahti hai ,per wait kar rahi hai.

Riya pressed further,meanwhile Ayesha almost choked on the water she was drinking by then.

"matlab kya...

Before Rathore could complete Ayesha interrupted them by putting two mugs of coffee on the table.

"sir aapki coffee.

"haan.thanks Ayesha.

Umm..chalta hun mera ek conference call hai.

Rathore got up en left ,but not before glancing at Ayesha for a last time.

Once he was gone Ayesha ,Riya looked at each other ,en then Riya burst out of laughing loudly which was audible to Arjun who was passing by the cafeteria.

He stopped on his track,taking two steps back only to find Riya laughing out accompanied by Ayesha a minute later.

"pata hai? Meri saans gale tak atak gayi thi.

Ayesha exclaimed pausing her laugh.

Riya let out another laugh ,causing Ayesha to shook her head at him ,while Arjun who was the mute spectator of the scenario took a silent leave without making them aware of his presence.

The day rolled by ,with ETF team working over the paperworks ,with a delighted sakshi gleaming due to her small tea date with Arjun,chhotu getting teased by his friends for not able to know the name of his 11.30 wali yet again,Ayesha avoiding meeting eyes from her colleagues at the constant nagging in the name of Rathore,Riya somewhere happy for sakshi and accompanying her friends in the relaxation period.

Next morning.

"Morning chhotu,Shree.

Rathore greeted as soon as he entered the conference hall,thus both Chhotu & shree paused their chitchats looking up to their chiefs.

"morning sir.

They said in union ,just when Rathore's gaze fell on the empty chairs around.

"baaki sab kahan hai.?

"sir vo actually hum dono aaj jaldi agaye the.abhi tak time ni hua hai na,sayad issliye koi ni aya.

Shree replied,en Rathore glanced at his wristwatch nodding his head.

"okay.tum dono tab tak jo pending paperwork khatam karlo ,aur Rawte aye toh bbolna mere cabin me aye.

"ok sir.

Chhotu murmured disheartenedly ,before Rathore was gone to his canbin.

"maine kaha tha na itni jaldi nahi jaate .thodi dair mujhe aur sone diya hota toh kya jaata tumhara.?

Shree frowned at chhotu.

"achha? Jab hum late hote hain toh meri galti,aaj jaldi aye hain toh mei galti? Ab jab tumhe late ho raha hoga na ,tabhi mai tumhe adhe raastein me chhod ke ajaunga.

Chhotu gave him a pointed look.

"tu aesa karega mere sath? Bas yahi rishta hai hamara.?

Shree faked a gasp.

"ab chal files leke aate hain ,nahi toh agar rathore sir ne dekh liya na toh vo ek alag rishta banayenge hamare sath.

Chhotu rolled his eyes getting up from his chair.

"point hai.

Shree agreed to him getting up as well ,en both started making their way towards the archive room .

"wese kitne din ho gaye mere pass koi new software ni aya hai,Rathore sir se baat..

Shree paused his talk in the middle,being getting bumped with another figure coming from the front and he adjusted his specs to get a clear vision of the person;only to find it none other than Arjun.

"uh..so...sorry sir.good morning sir .

Shree stammered quickly maintaining his posture,meanwhile chhotu suppressed his laugh.

"tumhare specs ka power kaam ni kar raha hai shree.?

Arjun raised his brow with a glare.

"uh..aesi baat ni hai sir ,maine bas apko dekha nahi.

"issliye puch raha tha.

Came Arjun's quick retort,and then he started leaving.

"ek min sir,apko Rathore sir bula rahe the apne cabin me.

Chhotu spoke ,to which Arjun nodded his head before walking away.

"huh. Ye Arjun sir hamesha khadoos the,khadoos hain aur khadoos hi rahenge.

Na inhe mera sorry sunayi diya aur na hi good morning.

Shree frowned.

"chal chal ab itni baar khadoos mat bol ,kahin agar Arjun sir ne sun liya na toh aankhon ke sath sath awaz bhi chali jayegi teri.

Chhotu chuckled dragging him along with him,ignoring shree's glare.

30 mins later...

"arey yar tabs eek page khatam ni horaha hai mera.ugh. abhi toh pura file pada hai.

Shree whined banging his head on the file.

"shree,aaj ye sare ladkiyan kahan gayi? Abhi tak ayi nahi.

Chhotu asked ,ignoring his complain making shree look at him curiously.

"haan yaar itna late hogaya aur Ri,Sakshi ,Ayesha me se koi nahi dikkhi abhi tak? Teeno ne chhuti toh ni le li aaj.?

Shree assumed.

"nahi re chhuti lena hota toh kal se batati na hame.

Chhotu denied.

"kya pata subah subah hi decide kiya ho? Ladkiyon ka wese bhi ni bol sakte inke dimag me kab kya chalta hai.

Tu ruk mai phone karta hun.

"haan tu Riya k phone kar ,mai Ayesha ko karta hun.

The duo dialled Riya & ayesha's numbers respectively ,then looked up to each other.

"Ri ka number toh switch off araha hai.

Shree started first.

"aur Ayesha ka ring ho raha hai ,per vo utha ni rahi hai.

Chhotu added.

"mai sakshi ko call karta hun.

Ye achha tarika nikala hai teeno ne ,chhuti me reh jao aur phone switch off kardo.

Bol raha hun agar hame bina liye ye tino vacation mana rahe hain na toh inki khair nahi.

Shree murmured dialing Sakshi's number,but it too called switch off.

"switch off.

Shree let out a sigh,causing crease lines to appear on Chhotu's forehead.

"aesa toh kabhi nahi karti ye.

Ek kaam karte hain Rathore sir se puchte hain ,chuuti liya hoga toh Rathore sir ko toh bola hi hoga.

Chhotu suggested.

"haan chalo.

Rathore was discussing about a file with Arjun when he heard a knock on the door ,hence he paused the discussion before answering.

"come in.

Arjun whirled his chair to face Chhotu,shree entering in when Rathore too looked at them curiously.

"chhotu? Shree? Kya hua.?

"vo sir,hum puchne aaye the ki kya Ayesha ,Riya ya sakshi me se kisine apko call kiya tha aaj chhuti lene ke liye.?

Chhotu questioned standing near the table.

" chhuti? Vo log aye nahi abhi tak.?

Rathore questioned back,puzzled.

"nahi sir,hum phone try kar rahe the unka per Riya aur Sakshi ka switch off araha hai.

Shree informed.

"aur Ayesha ka phone ring horaha hai ,per vo receive ni kar rahi hai.

Chhotu added quickly.

Rathore stole a glance at his wrist watch before sharing a surprise look with Arjun.

"nahi.mujhe kisine call ni aya subah se.

"tum dono ne unke ghar ka phone try kiya.?

Arjun spoke breaking his silence.

"uh..nahi sir.hum toh bas puchne aye the.

Aur Sakshi toh akeli rehti hai ,toh uske ghar me landline nahi hai.Ri ke ghar me ek maid hai,hum usse puch sakte hain.

Shree murmured.

"aur Ayesha apni cousin ke sath rehti hai,toh chhotu uske number pe call karo,shree tum Riya ke ghar call karo aur mai Ayesha ka phone try karta hun.

Rathore commanded taking the phone out of his jeans pocket quickly.

"ok sir.

Shree ,chhotu chorused and did what they have been told to do without any delay,while Arjun sat thinking over the situation.

"Sir,Ayesha ki cousin toh apni college fest ke liye Hydrabaad gayi hai 2 din se.subah se baat ni hui hai uski Ayesha se.

Chhotu said after disconnecting the call.

"Ayesha ka phone abhi bhi ring ho raha hai ,per vo receive ni kar rahi hai.

Rathore sighed.

"sir.

Shree came walking inside the cabin,looking worried.

"kya hua.?

Chhotu turned to him curiously.

"Riya ke maid ne kaha ki vo kal raat se ghar nahi pahunchi.

Shree sounded worried,hence all heads were snapped to him.

"kya.?

Arjun exclaimed in shock,then turned to Rathore who was already looking at him.

"na kisi ka phone lag raha hai,na kisiko kuch pata hai.ye teeno hai kahan.?

Chhotu muttered to himself ,when something stroke Arjun's mind.

"shree,sirf Ayesha ka phone on hai.isse pehle ki vo bhi switch off hojaye ,uska location track karo fast.

"yes sir .

Shree rushed to get his laptop en quickly put Ayesha's number for search.

"sir,ye toh Ayesha ke address kuch dur ka location show kar raha hai.

"okay .isko on rakho ,hum chalet hain wahan.

Rathore instructed ,and all left for the SUV without wasting anymore time.

As Arjun drove direct to ayesha's address ,Shree stopped him near a square point with his eyes never leaving the laptop screen.

"ek ek min sir.

"kya hua shree.?

Rathore turned his head from the passenger seat.

"pointer sidha nahi dusre raaste ke taraf dikha raha hai.

Shree chirped pointing his finger towards the other way.

"ye toh Ayesha ke ghar jaane ka shortcut road hai.sidhe raaste me traffic bahut jam hoti hai issliye hum kabhi kabhi dusre raaste se chale jaate the.

Raaste ke side me jungle hai jo sidha beach ki taraf jaata hai.

Chhotu said acknowledging the road very well.

"agar maan bhi lo dono iss raaste se Ayesha ke ghar jaa rahi thi,toh pahunchi kyun ni wahan.?

Rathore mumbled in confusion as Arjun took the other route to go through the second road leading to Ayesha's address.

Arjun seemed calm while driving the car,but there was a certain feeling of uneasiness nagging him constantly ,since he heard of the three girls of ETF going missing.

He refrained himself to express any kind of reaction by the news ,but somewhere deep inside his heartbeats were hammering than the usual beating for some reason unknown to him.

His trance was broken by the loud voice of Rathore beside him,who asked him to stop the SUV that instant.

Applying a break to the SUV Arjun moved his eyes to where all were looking at ,only to find Riya's car parked by the roadside ;thus all got off the vehicle and rushed to her car.

"ye Riya ki car yahan kya kar rahi hai.?

Chhotu muttered in disbelief,searching for Riya around ,but there was no glimpse of any human.

"Rawte

Rathore called out easily opening the side door and showed him Riya's mobile laying on the back seat.

"riya ka mobile.sayad charge nahi hai issliye switch off hai.

Arjun inspected the mobile then searched for something else to get a clue of the happenings but there was none.

"damn it.yahan kuch bhi nahi hai.

Rathore cursed ,frustrated when Shree again glanced at his laptop screen.

"sir ,Ayesha ka phone location aas pass dikha raha hai.

Vo bushes ki taraf.

Arjun slipped Riya's phone inside his pant pocket en all started following the path the laptop was indicating at.

After few meters suddenly Chhotu stooped on his tracks ,as soon as his gaze fell on something then he called out loud.

"Sir.

The other trio approached him with quick steps and found a 4/5 yr kid laying inside a bush with injuries all over his body.

Rathore bent down to check his pulse ,then looked up to his team shaking his head.

"mautu ho chuki hai.

Arjun roamed his eyes around for any suspect but not getting any he turned to Shree.

"shree,ambulance ko call karo.

"yes sir.

Shree nodded to him taking few steps back to talk on the phone properly ,but paused noticing something.

"sir,ek aur bacha.

"what.?

All went to where he was standing ,en indeed there was another kid lying in a worse state ;much to their shock.

"mujhe aesa kyun lag raha hai yahan aur bhi bache hain?

Shree ambulance ko call kardo,tab tak hum charon taraf dekhte hain.

Arjun ordered him,en others quickly followed his command.

After some 15 mins of search they had spotted 8 kids ,4 dead & other 4 unconscious in a very bad state whereas finally Shree reached up to Ayesha's mobile buried in the sand near the beach.

"sir,Ayesha ka mobile.

Ri,Ayesha yahan the,upar se itne sare bache .kahin ye dono musibat me toh ni phas gaye.?

Shree mumbled anxiously ,en others kept mum in the same doubt as him.

"sir,mujhe lagta hai hame aur search karna chahiye.Ayesha ,Riya abhi tak mile nahi hain,kya pata aas pass ho.?

Chhotu sounded hopeful.

"sahi keh rahe ho chhotu.Team spread out,har ek jagah search karo.fast.

Rathore announced pulling his gun out and so did others.

Arjun looked inside each and every of the bushes while Rathore,shree ,chhotu were in other directions en after a while he got something in front of him.

"rathore,Shree,Chhotu idhar ajao.

"kya hua Rawte? Kuch mila.?

Rathore questioned reaching up to him,followed by the other duo.

"vo dekho ek chhota sa ghar.i'm sure usme se hame jarur kuch milega.

Let's go & be alert.

Arjun informed them tightening his hold on his gun ,before making their way towards the small house one after another.

On reaching near the entrance Chhotu broke inside the wooden door ,en four of them stood stiff at the scenario in front of them.

Not one or two, many kids were laying inside the room with blood stains scattered all over the floor en the stinking smell made shree cover half of his face with his hanky.

A stunned Rathore tried to cross the room when his foot tripped over something making him fall down .

"sir aap thik hai na.?

Chhotu asked,concerned getting a nod in reply.

Rathore tried getting up but as soon as his gaze fell on who he was tripped over his eyes widened.

"SASKHI.?

Others bent down to look under the table and to their surprise Sakshi laid there unconscious with no external injuries.

Shree checked her pulse en breathed in relief looking up to his two chiefs.

"behosh hai sir.

" chhotu,kahin se paani leke aao jaldi.

Rathore ordered ,to which chhotu nodded not moving his eyes from sakshi.

"haan.

Chhotu looked here and there and at last found a water bottle in a corner ,then brought it to shree.

"shree,ye le.

Shree sprinkled a little water on sakshi's face while calling out her name.

"sakshi.sakshi utho.

After sprinkling some more water Sakshi fluttered her lashes open meekly ,when both Shree,chhotu made her seat leaning her back against the table.

"sakshi tum thik ho? Yahan kaise pahunch gayi.?

"Sakshi kya hua hai yahan? Itne sare bachon ki dead bodies ? aur tumhari aesi halath kisne ki.?

"sakshi sab kuch detail me kaho ki yahan hua kya hai.?

Shree followed by chhotu and then Rathore bombarded with her questions ,when arjun decided to ask what was not leaving his mind.

"sakshi,Ayesha aur Riya kahan hai.?

Also i have read comments on demand for Arjun's P. O. V. Hmm... That would be interesting.. So I promise there will be a part from his P. O. V. And for it I need to gear up for some memorable ARIYA scenes.. 😉

PART-9

Soon the case was solved and the culprit turned out as the cousin of the victim ,who had committed the crime for property.

Chhotu,shree left for hospital right after finishing the paperworks,whereas Ayesha stayed back for Rathore and sakshi had her own personal work.

The moment chhotu,shree reached inside Riya's cabin ,they found her engrossed in a magazine laying on the bed.

"Good evening miss Riya Brave Mukherjee.

Shree announced with a grin,while the duo walked upto her bed.

Riya looked up from the magazine and flashed them a smile.

"hi.thank God tum dono aagaye,warna aesa lag raha tha ki boredom me mai wapas coma me chali jaaungi.

"oye tujhe ye rest karna achha ni lag raha hai,ek baar thik ho jaa phir taras jaayegi shanti se sone eke liye.chhotu shook his head,occupying a seat near her bed.

"haan yaar humse puch ,kaisa lagta hai jab subah ke 5 baje Rathore sir ki awaz sunni padti hai alarm ki tarah.'shree sighed,thus Riya & Chhotu chuckled.

"waise guys kya hua case ka.?

Riya asked ,suddenly remembering the morning scenario with Arjun.

"arey yar vo ek thoda strange case tha. Ek budhe couple ko unke bhatije ne maar diya property ke lalaj me,aur ek 19 saal ke ladke ko case me fasana chahta tha jo uss ghar me kaam karta tha.

Jis tarah se vo couple ki body mili thi,dekh ke believe ni hoga ki unka koi apna unhe itni berehmi se maar sakta hai.chhotu explained sorrowfully.

"haan.mushkil hai per yahi sachai hai.aaj kal log paison ke age rishtey ni dekhte.shree added.

"aur vo 19 saal ke bache ka kya hua.?

Riya asked further.

"Vo Sakshi ki ek friend hai jo orphanage chalati hai,toh ye wahin rahega aur padhai karega.chhotu smiled.

"aur pata hai kya uski padhai ka sara zima Rathore sir khud utha rahe hain.

"ye toh bahut achhi baat hai.Rathore sir chahe upar se kaise bhi ho,per andar se bahut soft hain.kyun guys.?

Riya looked at the duo expectantly.

"per uss softness ka kya faida ? kabhi hum bachon pe rehem khaaye toh pata chale.roz humse janmon ki dushmani nikal rahe ho aese daantte rehte hain.

Unke upar phir Arjun sir,vo toh chalet phirte kab kispe baras jaaye kisiko andaza ni hota.

As soon as shree finished,Riya threw him a glare.

"Shree.

"wah! Abhi Shree Rathore sir ki burai kar raha tha tabhi tu kuch ni boli,aur Arjun sir ka naam lete hi Angry young girl.?chhotu teased.

"rehne de chhotu.Arjun sir hi iske apne hain,hum iske hai kaun.? Shree sighed dramatically,hence Riya rolled her eyes.

"bas karo dono.Arjun sir aur Rathore sir dono hi ache hain.but seriously kya vo dono aaj bhi ladhte hain pehle jaise.?

"Pehle jaise ni pehle se zyada ladhte hain.chhotu replied.

"bas fark itna hai ki Rathore sir gussa hone ke baad Ayesha ko dekh ke khush ho jaate hain,aur Sakshi Arjun sir ko unki cutting chai pilake shaant kar deti hai.shree blurted out but regretted it instantly as Riya's forehead screeched at his last few words.

"umm...kya.?

"err...arey chhod na ye sari baatein .hum bhi kya unn dono ki baatein leke baith gaye,itne dino baad hum teeno mile hain apni baatein karein.?chhotu diverted the topic ,to which Shree was grateful.

Thankfully Riya didin't hover over it too much and joined her two friends in chit chatting.

Few days rolled by...

Riya's recovery was on the process and everything was getting back to normal slowly & steadily.

It was regular of Shree and chhotu to visit the hospital ,accompanied by Ayesha ,sakshi,Liza sometimes and the girls had bonded well among each other.

Riya had started practising to walk with the help of nurses and her friends ,meanwhile Rathore was happy with her growing chances to re-join ETF ver soon.

However Arjun still acted indifferent front of others,en remained stubborn enough even to give Riya a visit once in the hospital,which used to irk others but Riya didn't complain.

It was another fine morning,where everyone was doing their respective paper works in the absence of their chiefs,and chit chatting .

"kya yaar,jitna bhi karo ye paper works khatam hi ni hote.sakshi whined.

"tune meri muh ki baat chhin li re,jaise bache exams ko leke rehte hain,waise hi hamara haal hai ye paper works ke sath.

Chhotu made a poker face.

"dheere bolo ni toh kahin agar Rathore sir ne sun liya na,toh double paper work de denge.Ayesha chuckled.

"uske liye tum ho na Rathore sir ko manane,sir tumhari baat jarur sunenge.shree grinned.

"shut up shree.

Ayesha faked anger,and looked down to hide her smile.

"Ye kya ho raha hai.?

The stern voice from near the door made everyone alert ,thus all straightened themselves to greet their chief.

"Morning sir.

"tum logon ka paperwork ho gaya,jo yahan gappe lada rahe the.?Rathore asked sternly,passing a glare to each and everyone.

"nahi sir hum toh bas aese hi...

Before Shree could complete Rathore interrupted him .

"rehne do Shree.save it for the next time.

Yahan tum log ,aur wahan vo Rawte sabne mazaq laga rakha hai.meri koi baat toh maannio hi nahi hai.Rathore growled.

"lagta hai aaj ye dono bahar se hi ladhke aaye hain.Chhotu muttered under his breathe.

"Per Arjun kahan hai.?

Sakshi murmured looking towards the exit door.

"abhi aajayenge,kahan jaayenge? Gussa utarne ke liye unhe bhi koi na koi chahiye na. Chhotu lightly shook his head,and the moment he finished Arjun barged inside the hall pushing the glass door roughly and occupied his regular seat ,ignoring Rathore's heated glare.

"sab apna paper work finish karo, next koi case milne ke andar andar sab complete ho jaana chahiye.Rathore said in a strict tone.

"shree,mujhe retired major G.B. Buxi ki puri information chahiye.

Arjun spoke breaking his silence,earning a growl from Rathore.

"kisiki bio-data me ye likha ni hota Rawte ki vo criminal hai ya nahi.

"lekin ye jarur pata chal sakta hai ki usne kis wajah se crime kiya hai,ya NAHI KIYA HAI.Arjun countered back.

"jaruri ni hai ki har baat ka dusra pehlu ho Rawte. Kabhi kabhi cheezein saaf dikhai deti hai.

"Aur kabhi kabhi hum kuch cheezein dekh ke andekha kar dete hain.

The two chiefs continued their banters,while the other four sat silently not daring to interrupt the hungry lions en finally watched their chief sighing frustratedly.

"FINE.Shree,Rawte ko job hi information chahiye dedo ,aur Rawte tum-jab tak tum ye prove ni kar dete ki ye case ETF ke layal hai tab tak humme se koi isme involve ni hoga.

Rathore announced ,hence the storm silenced gradually.

Out of curiousity Shree googled the person over whom the chiefs were fighting just few secs ago and his forehead creased.

"Retired Major G.B.Buxi?sir ye toh jail me hain na,murder ke case me.?

"shree,unka koi photo hai kya.?sakshi piped in.

"haan.shree turned the lappy to her displaying the picture of the man.

"arey inhone toh khud apna crime qubool kiya tha na ,ki unhone hi vo 6 saal ki bachi ko gusse me shoot kar diya tha.?

"haan maine bhi ye neew padhi thi.

Ayesha added.

"aesa hai toh hum inke bare me abhi kyun discus kar rahe hain.?

Chhotu looked at Rathore,then at Arjun confusingly.

"kyunki major ke ghar me jo kaam karta tha,vo mahino baad sehar lauta hai aur ye keh raha hai ki major ne koi khoon ni kiya.case reopen kiya jaaye,aur jo asli mujrim hai use saza diya jaaye.

Yahi kehne ke liye hame commissioner sir ne office bulaya tha.

"phir.?

Shree questionrd.

"phir the great Ajun suryakant rawte ne case re0open karne ka soch liya.

Rathore mocked.

"ek ex-army officer,jo chahta toh khoon karke asani se ilzam kisi aur pe daal sakta tha,jise kanoon ache se pata ho vo apni hi gun se kisiko shoot karke surrender kar dega? Upar se usne apni property uss bache ke parents ke naam kardi jiska usne khoon kiya tha,isn't that strange.?

Arjun reasoned.

"sir ho sakta hai usne socha hoga agar property bache ke parents ko mill gayi toh vo sayad case wapas le le.aur vo chhut jaaye.?

Shree narrowed his gaze.

"per vo toh abhi bhi jail me hai shree.?

Arjun questioned back.

"inn sari baaton se ye prove ni hota rawte ki major ne murder ni kiya.yahan logic se zyada proofs ke maine hain,vo mill jaaye toh aana.Rathore said sternly leaning both of his hands on the glass atble,challenging him .

"umm sir,Major buxi ki bas itni hi information hai.shree forwarded his lappy to him.

Arjun took the lappy from him,and read it carefully,but then suddenly he got up and left the hall without uttering a single word,leaving all confused.

There Riya was practising walking in the hospital room with the help of a nurse,who made her seat on the bed after sometime.

"aaj ke liye itna kafi hai.aese hi practise karengi toh aap bahut jaldi khud se chali payengi.the nurse assured.

"thank you .Riya smiled greatfully.

"aap yahin baitho,mai aapke liye khana leke aati hun.

"ok.

Once the nurse left ,Riya forwarded her hand to the table beside her bed for a glass of water only to find it empty.

another glass was kept on another table,a little far from her,thus she looked around the room to call out for someone ,but there was noone in the room except her.

she looked at her leg,then at the glass of water.

"khud hi le leti hun."

clutching the edge of the bed,she tried to get up and took a step ahead and the moment her hand left the bed her leg slipped on the marveled floor jerking her frame to the front.

before she could scream or try to balance herself,a pair of rough hands were holding her securely around her stomach ,preventing her from touching the ground.

her tightly closed eyes opened up slowly feeling safe,en instantly met with a pair of dark eyes staring back at her.

"ar...arjun sir.?"

arjun blinked hearing his name being called,then straightened themselves,still holding Riya not losing his hold around her.

"kya kar rahi thi tum Riya?doctor ne tumhe abhi tak kaha ni hai khud se chalne phirne ke liye."

she kept mum lowering her head,when he took her to the bed and made her sit.

"kkya chahiye tha tumhe.?'he asked her calmly.

"vo sir mai pani laane ke liye jaa rahi thi."
she replied,and he quickly brought the glass of water for her.

"ye lo."

she took the glass from him and started looking here and there ,instead of drinking the water.

he stood folding his arms across his chest observing her with a raised brow,then shook his head taking his hanky out of his pant pocket and forwarded it to her.

she passed him an awkward smile before taking the hanky from him and started cleaning the glass with utmost concentration; whereas Arjun remained a mute spectator of her weird doing.

"Team any clue.?

Rathore asked entering the conference hall in his usual self.

"Sir,humne dinesh aur vo ladki Shruti (who died with the boy) ke friends se puch tach kiya tha,unke hisab se Dinesh aur shruti ek dusre se pyar karte the.

Ayesha started.

"unn dono ke ghar wale love marriage me believe hi ni karte ,issliye inn dono ne apni love story secret hi rakhi thi.sakshi added.

"per ek din unn dono ki family walon ko ye sab pata lag gaya,aur dono families ke bich me bahut hungama bhi hua tha iss matter ko leke.

Chhotu spoke ,shrugging his shoulder.

"shruti ki best friend Anjalli ke hisab se shruti ki family ne gusse se uski shadi kahin aur tay kardi thi.iss baat se pareshan hoke dono ne ghar se bhag jaane ka plan banaya tha.

Shree finished in a breathe.

"aur ye baat jab dono ki families ko pata chali toh unhone bachon ki zid ke aage jhuk gaye aur dono ki shadi karane ke liye ready ho gaye.

College khatam hote hi dono ki shadi hone wali thi ,per usse pehle unki maut hogayi.'

Riya sighed.

"Jab dono ki families maan gaye the toh suicide karne ki kya wajah ho sakti hai?

Rathore murmured to himself.

"sir,kya pata dono ki family me se kisi ek ne inhe jhooth bola ho bas vo dono bhag na jaaye iss darr se? Aur jab inn dono ko pata chala toh inhone suicide karli.

Shree pointed out.

"agar aesi baat hai shree,toh sirf ek ki nahi dono ki family ki mili bhagat lagti hai ye.

Log society me apna khokhla rutwa banaye rakhne ke liye kuch bhi kar sakte hai.may be sab ne milke dono ko torture kiya ho aur suicide karne pe majboor kiya ho.

Rathore explained.

"aur ho sakta hai ki ye kuch aur hi mamla ho.

Arjun's voice echoed in the hall ,making all look at his direction who came walking oout of his cabin; while Rathore rolled his eyes.

"tum bore ni ho jaate Rawte aese last moment entries lete lete? Aur last minute me kuch aesa bolke sabko surprise karke?

He taunted.

"achha laga dekh ke ki aapko case se zyada meri entries aur comments pe zyada focus hai Sir.

Arjun taunted back ,followed by a deadly silence in the hall with the two chiefs glaring each other and the rest watching them silently.

A small smile appeared on Riya's lips finding arjun looking more stable,and less bothered about his headache ,then composed herself exchanging look with her friends.

"tum kuch bol rahe the.

Rathore stated pausing their glaring session.

"haan.mai ye keh raha tha ki case ka ek aur angle bhi hai.hame usse bhi consider karna chahiye.

"aur kaunsa angle baaki hai sir.?

Shree looked puzzled.

"Hai shree.

Ye sare discussion se ek c'mon baat hai jo humne notice ni ki.

Dinesh aur Shruti ne apna relationship secret rakha tha apne apne family se ,phir bhi unhe pata chala gaya.

Jab vo dono bhaagne ki planning kar rahe the ,tab bhi unki families ko pata chal gaya.

Kisi ek coincidence ko ignore kar bhi de toh dusre ko ni kar sakte.

Arjun said thoughtfully swirling the pen in his hand.

"ho sakta hai sir,ki dono ki family ne unpe nazar rakha ho.?

Aayesha voiced her thought.

"aesa ho sakta tha Aayesha agar unn dono ki planning ke bare me kisiko pata hota toh.dono jis raat bhaagne wale the ussi raat apne friends ko ye baat batayi thi.aur Dinesh ki friend Bhabesh ke hisab se koi chance ni tha unki family ko ye baat pata chalne ki.

Came Arjun's quick reply.

" toh aapko lagta hai ki koi jaan bujh ke unki family ko inform karta tha inn dono ke bare me.?

Chhotu questioned.

"lekin aesa koi kyun karega.?

Sakhshi piped in.

"unless unn dono ki koi dushman ho.?

Aayesha nodded her head.

"mai samajh raha hun Rawte kit um kya kehne ki koshish kar rahe ho. Hum ye dono angles se case ko proceed karte hain .

Rathore declared.

"toh pehle suspects hain dinesh sur shruti ke parents.

Aur agar Rawte ke angle se dekha jaaye toh koi hai jot um logon ko suspect laga ho.?

He eyed his teamexpectantly,when all started thinking over it.

"arjun sir ke angle se dekha jaaye toh suspect koi Dinesh aur shruti ki bahut close hoga,jaise unke friens.

Shree narrowed his gaze.

The moment Shree finished his line a particular name clicked Arjun and Riya's mind at the same time.

"ANJALLI.

Both shouted in union ,causing several eyes to turn to them ,then they both glanced at each other that instant.

"Anjalli toh Shruti ki bestfriend hai na? Rawte,Riya tum dono ko uspe kyun doubt hai.?

Rathore raised his brow at the duo.

"mujhe Anjalli pe doubt uss din hua jab maine Shruti ki shok sabha me maine usse dekha.baaki sab toh thik tha per von ajar rakh rahi thi shruti ke parents ,jab hum unse baat kar rahe the.

Ab bhala koi apni best friend ki shok sabha me uski parents pe najar kyun rakhega.?

Arjun shook his head.

"aur sir hum jab sare friends se puch tach kar rahe the tab bhi Anjalli kuch pareshan dikhi .vo unn dono ki murder wali baat ko strongly oppose kar rahi thi,as if vo chahti hi nahi thi ki murder wala angle samne hi na aaye.

Riya added.

"ok.toh phir tum dono Rawte ki angle se investigate karo aur hum dusre angle se try karte hain.jald se jald hame ye case solve karna hai.

12 hours later...

At last ETF was successful in catching the real culprit who came out as the girl's best friend and one of the guy's friend who had one sided love affairs with the two people;and to prevent them from marrying each other they forced them to kill themselves ,framing their families in it.

"aahh..finally khatam hogaya case.chalo party karte hain.

Shree cheered as they walked towards the parking lot.

"party? Aur itni raat ko? Kal subah office bhi hai.

Chhotu shook his head.

"haan aur agar hum thoda sa bhi late ho jaaye na toh Rathore sir hame ni chhodenge.

Aayesha gave a pointed look to them.

"arey yaar tum log darte bahut ho.aaj case solve hogaya na toh kal Rathore sir hame kuch ni kahenge.

Shree grinned.

"nahi shree.party weekend ko rakhenge kyunki mujhe subah 5 baje uthna hai training ke liye.

Riya spoke ,passing them a sorry look.

" thik hai tum sab mana kar rahe ho toh weekend ko hi karenge.

Per Ri ,tu sach me Rathore sir ki training me jaa rahi hai.?

Shree asked curiously.

"haan.maine sir se kaha hai puri training khatam karungi.

Riya replied.

"Ri,we are proud of you.puch kis liye.?

Chhotu narrowed his eyes.

"kis liye.?

"issliye kit u subah subah Rathore sir ko jhelti hai,phir office me unke sath sath Arjun sir ko bhi jhelti hai.

Chhotu chuckled hifing with Shree,while Riya shook her head and Aayesha rolled her eyes.

"haha guys.very funny.

"oh sorry Aayesha ji,aapke Rathore sir ke bare me bol diya.

Shree faked innocence earning a fake glare from her.

"shree tum...

"guys ladhna band karo,aur ye batao ki sakshi kahan hai.?

Riya asked suddenly noticing her absence.

"arey vo usse koi report likhna that oh vo jaldi jaldi me nikal gayi.

Came chhotu's quick reply.

"oh ok.

Riya nodded in understanding.

"chalo guys chalet hain.subah milenge.

Shree waived his hand reaching up to the SUV.

"oh hello Mister kya chalet hain? Tum dono mujhe drop kar rahe ho,bhul gaye.?

Aayesha looked in between him and chhotu .

"arey nahi Aayesha ji hum kaise bhul sakte hain? Humari itni gustakhi jo hum aapko drop karna bhul jaaye.?

Shree said dramatically,making both Riya and Chhotu chuckle.

"shut up shree.

Aayesha rolled her eyes climbing inside the SUV.

Meanwhile Riya approached her scooty but stopped as soon as her gaze fell on the tyre.

"oh shit.flat tyre.?

"kya hua.?

Shree asked from her back.

"scooty puncture ho gaya.

Riiya replied,groaning.

"koi na.chal hum chhod dete hai tujhe.

Chhotu offered.

"nahi guys.tum teeno ka ghar ek taraf aur mera dusri taraf.tum sab kya adhi raat ko mere liye ghumte rahoge? Isse achha mai cab bula leti hun.

Riya brought the phone out of her pocket.

"arey tu kya...

"kya ho raha hai yahan.? Tum log abhi tak gaye nahi.?

Arjun's voice suddenly interrupted them,hence all turned to face him.

"vo sir riya ka scooty puncture hogaya hai,aur hum keh rahe ki chhod denge per vo mana kar rahi hai.

Shree blabbered quickly before anyone could.

"sir vo..

Before Riya culd complete Arjun interrupted her .

"it's okay.tum log chale jao,mai uss taraf jaa raha hun Riya ko drop kardunga.

"NO sir..

"perfect sir.aap please usse drop kar dijiye.itni raat ko cab kaise milegi.

Chhotu smiled cutting Riya's words off in middle,then shared a secret grin with shree.

"haan haan sir ye thik rahega.

Shrree added.

"nahi sir it'sokay.mai chali jaaungi.

Riya denied.

"Riya maine pucha ni tumse ,order de raha hun.

Let's go.

Arjun chirped straight walking up to his SUV ,leaving Riya with no other option.

"jaa Ri koi aur option ni hai.kyunki praan jaaye per Arjun sir ka order na jaaye.

Shree joked.

She sighed glancing over her friends and waived them a final goodbye before making way towards Arjun's car.

As she sat inside the vehicle Arjun accelerated the engine and they drove out of ETF gate ,only when she realized it was raining outside.

Rolling down the window she eyed the rain intently,meanwhile Arjun sat silently stealing glances of her time to time from the corner of his eye.

"vo window band kardo,bearish ussi taraf ho raha hai.

He spoke after a while breaking the silence and expected her to follow his command ,instead she smiled.

"rehne dijiye sir.kitne time ke baad mai Mumbai ki baarish dekh rahi hun.aesa lag rahha hai jaise pehli baar dekh rahi hun.

He craned his neck to get a close look at her peaceful face then focused on the road keeping mum .

"zindegi bhi kuch iss baarish ki tarah hi hai.kab ,kaise,kya ho jaaye pata ni chalta.per ek baar isme bheegne ka mauka sabko deti hai.

She murmured smiling to herself.

"sabko ni deti.

Sabko zindegi me dusra mauka ni milta.

Arjun muttered ,as an angelic face flashed infront of his eyes with a serene smile on her lips ,which used to shoo his all problems,tiredness away .

Riya's smile faded slowly realizing what he meant,and looked at him with softness in her eyes,but he refused to give up the sterness of his face.

"kabhi kabhi hame ye maan lena chahiye sir ki kuch log bas kehne ke liye hamare sath ni hote,per hote hain.aur aaj bhi unhe fark padta hai hamare khushi hone se,hamare * pause* dukhi hone se.

He didn't utter a word afterwords and she too fell silent ,until the SUV stopped near her destination.

"Thank you and good night sir.

As she was about to climb off the SUV ,his voice stopped her in the mid way.

"Riya.?

"ji.?

"Thank you.

He mumbled without looking at her ,that made her forehead crease with confused lines.

"vo tablet aur balm ke liye.

He clarified further ,to which she nodded and left with a faint smile on her lips.

Next morning..

ETF office.

Aayesha rushed inside the office in a hurry,glancing at her wrist watch on the way ;fearing she was late for Rathore's morning announcement.

She pushed the glass door of the conference hall ,not exactly watching where she was heading to and suddenly her frame was collided with something strong or rather than someone strong.

She being not expecting the crash tripped over her feet and before her back could touch the hard floor she felt a pair of arms holding her back ,balancing her on the spot.

"careful Aayesha.

Rathore's concerned voice reached up to her ears and she found herself staring in those black charcoal eyes without a blink,until several throat clearing sounds were heard from the entrance.

Rathore broke the eyelock and looked up to find his whole team standing there including Arjun with awkward looks on their faces.

"good morning sir.

All chorused in an extra sweet voice,except Rawte ofcourse and Rathore straightened himself quickly along with Aayesha.

i know Arjun and Riya bonding going slow but this is how i wanted them.😳

i won't make that Arjun fall for Riya who still loves Roshni,i will make that Arjun fall for Riya who will love each and everything about her and the whole ETF will watch it.😉

p.s. also i'm trying to be regular with updates..😕

"Riya.?"

Shree, Chhotu almost screamed running up to her, followed by Sakshi, and Ayesha ;

whereas Rathore and Arjun stood rooted at their place.

"Shree mujhe pinch kar na. Mujhe yakin ni ho raha hai. "

Chhotu said in a daze, and the next moment he winced as Shree pinched him a little hardly.

"itni zor se karne ke liye ni kaha tha. "

"arey dheere karta toh tujhe feel hi ni hota,kyunki teri skin moti hai.

Shree chuckled,earning a glare from chhotu ,when Riya interupted them.

"guys ,chhodo ye sab.batao kaisa laga surprise.?

Riya asked excitedly.

"zabardast. "came chhotu's quick reply.

"achha toh issliyee Rathore sir ne hame jaldi bulaya tha.?

Shree looked inbetween her and Rathore,who was silent till now.

"vo maine hi Rathore sir se kaha tha sabko na batane ke liye. Riya smiled.

"subah ki neend bigdi ,per abhi uski wajah jaanne ke baad bahut khushi ho rahi hai.chhotu too smiled.

"welcome back.

Sakshi grinned extending her hand for handshake.

Riya gladly accepted it,and shook her hand with sakshi.

"thank you.

"toh aakhir me doctor ne tumhe chhuti de hi di hospital se.welcome back.

Ayesha too took her hand for a handshake,en Riya was overwhelmed by everyone's warm gesture.

"Riya welcome back. "

Rathore chirped in his bossy tone, meanwhile Arjun kept mum.

Nodding at Rathore, Riya took a glance at the new ETF office and smiled.

"achhi hai na new office.? "

Shree grinned.

"haan. Achhi aur bada bhi. "

Came her quick reply.

"ab ye welcome ka celebration hogaya ho toh kaam karlein. ?"

Arjun's curt voice made all sigh, hence they took their respective seats around the big glass table.

"umm sorry sir maine aapki chai order ni ki hai.Mai abhi ..."

"rehne do Riya, Arjun ki cutting chai ready hi hai. "

Sakshi smiled, interrupting Riya's words.

Riya's forehead creased with confused lines, watching Sakshi taking out something out of her bag and it turned out to be a thermos.

"vo Kya hai na Arjun ko Isse peene ki adat hogayi hai, toh chai bahar se ni aati. "

Riya's smile faded a little, yet she maintained her composure taking her seat next to Chhotu.

Shree, Chhotu passed sympathy look to their friend meanwhile others focused on their respective work.

The SUV stopped near the river bank ,where the crowd was gathered around,but the police barricade were there to prevent the crowd to go antwhere near the crime spot.

The two officers climbed off the SUV ,

instantly receiving salutes from the local police and they noddded walkng past the crowd,where their teammates were already preset ;

analysing the spot,collecting proofs,taking snaps of the dead bodies,collecting statements of eye witness.

Taking the goggle off Rathore bent down up to the level of one dead body and examined it,

meanwhile Arjun roamed his eyes around the river bank ,then to Liza who seemed busy in wrapping up every leftover around the bodies for her research.

"Sir,ye jo 2 bodies mili hai usme se ladke ka naam hai Dinesh Dixit.ek private institute me MBA 2nd year ka student tha,ye hame uski identity card se pata chala.

lekin ladki ko identify karne ke liye aesa kuch mila ni abhi tak.yahan ke kuch local citizen subah yahan machhli pakadne aaye the,aur unhone dekha ki ye dono ek sath upar ke bridge se paani me kud gaye.

Logon ne bachane ki koshish ki per paani gehra tha aur tab tak bahut dair ho chuki thi.Riya breathed her collected infos in a go.

"dekhne se suicide case lagta hai.kuch logon ka kehna hai ki ye dono aapas me kuch baat kar rahe the,aur phir bina kisiki sune kud gaye.

Sakshi added.

"chhotu, jitno ne bhi ye sab hote hue dekha unn sabko yahan bulao.

Arjun ordered,to which chhotu nodded his head.

"yes sir.

Rathore and Arjun stood folding their arms across their respective chest, as the local people came standing near them.

"tum log kya yahan roz aate ho machhli pakadne.?

Arjun started questioning.

ji sahab. Pass me hamara jhopdi hai,aur pichhle 15 saal se hum yahan machhli pakadte hain.

One man replied politely.

"aaj kitne baje aaye the yahan.?

Rathore asked this time.

subah ke 6 baje sahab.hum yahan aaye toh dekha ki vo ladka ladki upar bridge me khade the,vo ladki ro rahi thi aur vo ladka usse kuch keh raha tha.phir dono achanak paani me kud gaye.nadi me paani bahut hai issliye hum thodi dair se kude per tab tak vo dono marr chuke the.

Another man explained briefly.

"vo ladki ro rahi thi.?

Sakshi pointed out.

"ji haan.unn dono ne hath pakda tha,aur vo ladki bahut roye jaa rahi thi.

"tum logon ke kisi aur ko yahan aas pass.?

Arjun piped in.

"nahi vo dono akele hi the.koi aur nit ha yahan.

thik hai tum log jaa sakte ,per agar dubara jarurat padi toh hum bulayenge.

Rathore chirped straight ,hence the local people left the place after agreeing to them.

"Rawte,shree, Riya tum log Dinesh ke college jaake pata karo.tab tak Liza forenscic reports ready karo inn dono ki.

Rathore ordered.

"yes sir.

All chorused except Arjun,then all scattered up to complete their allotted work.

In the college...

Arjun walked ahead followed by Riya and Shree ,who were well aware of various eyeballs of the students on them.

"shree,ye sab hame aese kyun ghur rahe hain? Hum college students ni lag rahe hain kya.?'

Riya murmured in a low voicec.

"hum toh students ki tarah lag rahe hain,per jo hamare samne chal rahe hain na vo yahan ke profgessor ki tarah bhi ni dikh rahe hain.

Shree replied in a hushed tone ,eyeing Arjun's back.

"shut up.

Riya frowned.

"arey sach me .Arjun sir aese chal rahe hain jaise kisika encounter karne jaa rahe hain.

Shrree chuckled,hence Riya kept mum as they reached nearer to the principal's cabin.

"hame college ke principal se milna hai.

Arjun said to the peon standing outside of the principal's cabin.

"appointment hai.?

peon eyed him curiously.

Arjun simply showed him his ID card,causing the peon's eyes to widen in surprise.

aap thodi dair rukiye.mai sir ko inform karke aata hun.

Riya,shree ,Arjun waited in the meantime the peon went inside the cabin and came back after a while.

"aap sab andar jaa sakte hain.

Nodding,Arjun pushed the door open walking inside followed by shree and Riya.

"good morning officers.aaj ETF hamare college me? Koi problem hai.?

The principal asked nervously,gesturing them to have a seat.

"nahi hum kuch information ke liiye aaye the.kya aap isse jaante hain? Aapke college ka 2nd year ka student hai.

Shree showed him a photo in his mobile.

"maaf kijiye college ke sare students ka chehra yaad rakhna thoda muskil hai.mai ek 2nd year ke professor ko bula deta hun,vo sayad apki koi help kar sake.

The principal assured pressing the buzzer ,en within minutes the peon reappeared through the door.

"professor verma ko bulana.

"ji sir.

The peon left and after few minutes a man of mid 49 appeared ,clad in formals and a smile on his face.

"good morning sir.aapne bulaya.?'

"yes prof. Verma .actually ye ETF officers hain,aur ye ek student ke bare me information lene aaye hain.

The principal replied.

"oh hello officers.bataiye kiske bare me jaana hai apko.?

Prof verma looked at them expectantly.

"ye.

Shree showed the same photo to him ,and prof verma looked visibly shocked.

"ye toh Dinesh hai.mere batch ka student.per aap log kyun puch rahe hain,aur isse hua kya hai.?'

"batate hain professor .pehle shree,inhe dusri photo dikhao.

Arjun ordered,thus shree flipped another pic on his phone.

"aur ye.?

"ye ladki ko bhi maine class me dekha hua lagta hai,per ,ujhe naam yaad ni hai.

Actually Dinesh batch ka topper hai issliye vo mujhe ache se yaad ahi,but i'm sure ye ladki bhi mere batch ki hai .

Professor verma finished,hence Arjun stood up from his chair.

"2nd year batch ki classroom kahan hai.?

"per officer atleast bataiye ki unn dono ko hua kya hai.?

The principal too stood up.

"dono ki dead bodies mili hai hame subah .

Riya gave him a short reply,then they were gone from the cabin looking for 2nd year students classroom.

"liza reports aagaye.?

Rathore asking making his way inside the lab,followed by Chhotu and Ayesha.

"ji sir.dono ke reports aagaye,aur iske mutabik dono ki maut paani me girne ki wajah se ni hui hai.

Liza chirped in a professional tone,making the trio stare at her confusingly.

"Liza dono dubke mare hain toh maut ki wajah wohi hua na.?

Chhotu raised his brow.

"nahi chhotu agar vo dono dubte nit oh waise bhi marr jaate.

"kaise.?

Ayesha piped in curiously.

"zeher ki wajah se.dono ki body me mujhe poision ke traces mile,sirf utna hi nahi poision ke sath sath unke bodies me drugs ke bhi traces mile hain.ab vo dono jaan bujh ke drugs lete the ya anjane me ye kehna muskil hai.

Liza breathed in a go.

toh vo paani me kudne ke baad zeher ka asar shuru hua.?

Rathore questioned.

"yes sir.marne ke kuch adha ghanta pehle unhone zeher khaya tha,aur itna waqt kaafi hai zeher ka reaction aane me.

"ek baat samajh ni aayi.agar unn dono ne zeher khaya hi that oh paani me kyun kude? Unki toh waise bhi maut hone wali thi.

Chhotu murmured ,while Ayesha and Rathore too started thinking the same.

Two days passed away,with ETF having minimum clue of two college student's death which led to pressure from the comissionerate office.

On another regular morning all chhotu,shree, Riya,Ayesha,Sakshi were gathered around conference hall table chit chatting whilist doing their respective works provided by their two chiefs :who hadn't currently arrived to the office.

"kya yaar socha tha case khatam hone ke baad sab milke party karenge,per ye case sulajhne ki jagah ulajhta jaa raha hai.

Shree shook his head.

"pehle lag raha tha suicide case hai,aur ab toh suicide aur murder ke bich me hum log atak gaye hain.

Sakshi added with a sigh.

"haan.upar se commissioner sir ne pressure dalna shuru kar diya hai case jaldi solve karne ke liye.

Ayesha spoke in a low voice.

"aahan. Aur hamari Ayesha issliye pareshan hai kyunki Rathore sir pareshan hai.

Chhotu teased making all laugh,and Ayesha flushed.

shut up chhotu.

"itna dhyan agar tum log case me lagate toh koi na koi clue abhi tak mill hi jaata .nahi.?

All suddenly silenced as soon as the stern voice interrupted them,and they needn't to turn to ensure it was Arjun Suryakant Rawte who has witnessed them having fun time.

Arjun glared each head in the hall,before finally settling his eyes on Riya.

"Riya ,maine tumhe unn dono ki family details collect karne ke liye kaha tha.vo file kahan hai.?

Riya gulped a little looking up to meet his cold eyes.

"sir almost ready hai,mai aapko cabin me..

"ALMOST.?

Arjun let out a bitter laugh.

tumse aur umeed bhi kya kar sakta hun riya?

Kaam khatam karne ki jagah tum yahan sab ke sath jokes pe hass rahi ho?

Tumhari Ye irresponsibility jhelne ki hame pehle se adat hai.afsos,wapas aake bhi tum kuch ni seekhi.

He stormed towards his cabin,leaving Riya to deal with his harsh words alone.

She bit her lip ,blinked her eyes not to let her tears drop infront of her friends.

Chhotu side hugged her and she forced a smile on her face.

There arjun sat on the chair of his cabin with closed eyes.

Since yesterday this headache was constantly diverting his focus from work,and he could do nothing about it ,irritating him more and more.

He knew this was the sole reason he was lashing out on anyone and everyone but he could never take his own words back.

Groaning he leaned his back on the chair massaging his temple slowly with his fingers,when a knock interrupted the silence of the room.

"come in.

His voice came out as hoarse and sharp.

Footstep sounds entering the room well reached up to his ears ,then he heard the steps disappearing closing the door at back.

He didn't bother to see who came and left without exchanging any word with him,as few seccs later there was another knock.

"come in.

"sir,file ready hai.

Riya said standing near the table ,clutching a file in both of her hands.

table pe rakhdo and leave.

"ok sir.

Once she was gone,he took few minutes to gather himself back and straightened his body on the chair ,stretching his hand to grab the file riya had prepared.

What surprised him was a balm placed over the file,with a tablet beside it and he looked up that instant towards the door,from where riya had just took an exit.

part-13

Ayesha stood awkwardly ,avoiding the teasing glances of her friends at a distance; whereas Rathore was in the same state as her trying to regain his stern composer.

"good morning sir.

Chhotu spoke breaking the silence in the hall ,when Shree beat back a grin.

"morning sir.

Riya ,sakshi spoke in union ,hence this time Rathore cleared his throat before speaking up.

"good morning team. It's good you all are on time.

"itni jaldi bulane ki koi wajah.?

Arjun being Arjun came straight to the point ,but for a change Chhotu agreed to his question showing a thumbs up to Arjun in his mind.(since he can't show thumbs up to Arjun in Real.lol.)

"arjun sir ne toh meri dil ki baat chhin li.Rathore sir ne toh itni jaldi utha diya ki neend bhi puri ni hui.

He muttered under his breathe ,only audible to Riya beside him.

"kyun? Mujhe laga Arjun suryakant Rawte ko subah jaldi uthne ki adat hai.

Rathore taunted.

"Adat toh hai per subah uthke timepass karne ki adat ni hai,sir.

Arjun retorted back earning a glare from Rathore,meanwhile others sighed at their bickering.

"thik hai toh phir thodi dair intezar karlo Rawte.kya pata tumhare timepass ka ilaz mil jaaye.

"uh..thodi dair matlab sir.?

Ayesha looked at him confusingly,causing Rathore to divert his eyes from Arjun to her.

"matlab commissioner sir aarahe hain,unhone hi puri team ko yahan bulaya hai.kuch discuss karna chahte hain,jiske bare me unhone mujhe bhi ni bataya hai.

All nodded in understanding and took their respective seats when Riya stood up from her chair thinking something.

"mai sabke liye coffee leke aati hun.

"haan please.

Shree yawned rubbing his sleepy lashes,earning a side glare from Arjun making him straighten up that instant.

Riya bit her bottom lip suppressing her laugh,then turned to Arjun.

"Arjun sir aap...

"arey Riya tum bas sabke liye coffee bana do kyunki Arjun ka chai toh ready hai.

Sakshi interrupted her showing her the thermos ,to which Riya simply nodded before walking away.

"manna padega sakshi ko.kitna khayal rakhti hai Arjun sir ka.itni subah subah vo sir ka chai laana ni bhuli.

Ayesha murmured slowly ,and eventually Chhotu & shree's fell a little.

Ayesha ,on obviously noticing their faces wanted to ask them what's wrong but kept mum since the two chiefs were still there focused on their respective works.

The thing Ayesha had noticed about shree and chhotu was their slight disliking towards Sakshi's crush on Arjun,even though she couldn't figure out the reason behind it but it was pretty much clear that whenever Sakshi talked about Arjun or did something for him,the duo would keep mum as if silently disapproving it.

But the question was Why.?

She didn't get enough time to hover over the question as Riya brought fresh hot coffee for them and everyone's mood was lifted.

"wese commissioner sir ne hame yahan bulaya kyun hoga.?

Shree asked taking a sip of his coffee.

"koi nayi case.?

Chhotu guessed.

"case ki baat hoti toh vo Sameer ko phone pe bhi bol sakte the.

Sakshi objected.

"point. Iska matlab kuch aur baat hai.maybe something serious.?

Ayesha raised her brow.

"maybe hame chhuti dene ki baat karne aaye honge.

Sakshi grinned all of a sudden.

"agar aesa hua na toh hum sabse pehle shopping ke liye jaayenge.Ganesh Utsav aaraha hai,aur humne abhi tak koi taiyari bhi ni ki hai yaar.

She added with a sigh,not noticing how Riya's eyes were snapped up to her on hearing her words.

"Ganesh utsav.?

"Arey haan hum toh bhul hi gaye the.Riya yaad hai pichle saal hum sab Ganesh Utsav me sath the,aur iss saal bhi Bappa ki ashrivad se hum sab sath hain.

Chhotu smiled.

"achha.aap sabne milke puja ki thi.?

Ayesha piped in curiously.

"haan.aur uske baad humne ek bahut bada case bhi solve kiya tha.

Shree replied.

Riya couldn't hear the rest of their talks as her mind was stuck over the Ganesh Utsav' and the previous year happenings suddenly came flowing to her mind.

Arjun wasn't really quite interested in his teammates talks regarding puja,blessings since those words were just meaningless for him .

The one person who used to push him over these things ,was no more with him so the celebration ,excitement doesn't matter to him anymore.

A sigh escaped from his lips as he remembered the angelic face smiling at him,nudging him to attend puja when his chain of thoughts were brought to an halt by someone standing up in his peripheral vision.

"uh..mai abhi aati hun.

Riya excused herself ,leaving her coffee unfinished but no one questioned her taking it lightly and continued their chitichats.

There Riya approached the big table which had drawyers meant for the officers to keep their notepads,pens ,other assesories and opened her drawyer frantically searching for something.

Below the notepads she found a red clip ,bringing a small smile to her lips as she remembered her first ever meet with the Arjun Suryakant Rawte; a man she used to despise.

Keeping the clip aside she again started looking for that particular thing she had left last time there but to her dismay nothing was there.

"God Morning the ETF team.

The commissioner entered the hall ,causing all to stand up from their seats and Riya too walked back to them masking up her disappointment.

All saluted the commissioner murmuring good mornings' and Rathore offered him a seat.

"please have a seat sir.

"sure Rathore.you all too sit down,we are gong to have a very serious talk ahead.

The commissioner chirped seriously and all nodded following his command.

"inko dekh ke lag toh ni raha hai ki ye chhuti ki baat karne aaye hain.

Sakshi whispered in a low voice.

"sshh..agar chhuti ka naam bhi sun liya na toh ye hame double paperwork deke jayenge.

Chhotu sushed her,thus sakshi abruptly kept mum.

"kahiye sir kya baat karni thi aapko.?

Rathore started.

"as you know officers Ganesh Utsav araha hai,per usse pehle hamare samne ek bada challenge aaya hai.

The commissioner spoke connecting a pendrive to Rathore's laptop which flashed a boy's sketch on the projector.

"ye sketch dekho sab.kya lagta hai ye ladki ki age kitni hogi.?

"umm..23 ya 24 saal sir.?

Ayesha guessed.

"you got it right Miss Ayesha ,iss ladke ki age 23 hai aur ye ek mamuli college student hai.per 2 din pehle iske bag se hame kuch khatarnak explosives mile hain.i will show you the pics.

The commissioner showed them another pic and shree almost gasped.

"a whole suitcase full of explosives.?

"and that's not the end of the story here.ye ladka ye suitcase leke ek bus stand me khada tha jahan kisiko uske bag pe doubt hua aur usne police ko inform kardi.

Jab local police wahan pahunchi toh vo ladka bhaag gaya aur ye suitcase chhod gaya.

Police ne uska pichha kiya aur unke mutabik vo ladka jab bhaag raha tha tab thodi dur ke baad ek car uske pass ruki thi,jisme se ek admi ne uss ladke ko gunpoint pe rakha tha maarne ke liye.per phir usne usse ni maara,aur apne car me le gaya.car ka koi number ni ,aur na hi uss admi ki koi pehchan jo car me tha.

Aese me bahut sare sawal aate hain jaise ek college student ke pass itni sari explosives aaye kahan se? Vo unn sabka kya karne wala tha? Bus stop pe kya kar raha tha? Vo car me kaun tha?..aur bhi bahut kuch.

Sawal bahut hain,aur waqt bahut hi kam.

Aap sab ache se jaante hain aese situations me hum koi bhi baat lightly ni le sakte,specially jab city me utsav hai,

The commissioner sighed.

"local police ne ladke ke bare me kuch aur pata kiya hai.?

Arjun asked thoughtfully.

"pata toh kiya hai ACP Arjun per bahut kam information hai,jo aapko iss file se mil jaayegi. ETF ke pass ye case lane ka mera ek aur wajah hai aur vo ye hai ki hame local police pe bhi doubt hai ki unki iss matter me kuch illegal involvement hai.

"police ki involvement.?

Chhotu enquired.

"haan kyunki iss matter ko 2 din ho chuke hain aur wahan ke local police hamare kehne ke baad bhi kuch khas action ni le rahe hain ,ulta vo case ko mamuli bata ke close karne me lage hain.

Jis bus stop pe ye sab hua uss in uss ladke ki mobile wahin gir gayi thi per uss bare me hame koi jaankari ni mili.

Toh mai chahta hun ki ETF ye case handle kare aur asli matter kya hai pata lagaye aur local police isme kitna involved hai vo bhi samne laaye.

The commissioner ordered.

"police ka illegal matter me involve hone ka matlab kuch bada plan ho raha hai.

Rathore muttered.

"right. Utsav se achha mauka ni milta criminals ko aese bade plans execute karne me.

Arjun added.

"per sir agar ETF ye case handle karegi toh ho sakta hai local police alert ho jaaye aur vo criminals ko bhi alert karde.?

Riya questioned.

" aesa ho sakta hai. Aur iske liye maine pehle se kuch soch ke rakha hai.

The commissioner replied.

"kya sir.?

Sakshi narrowed her gaze.

"ki ETF ye case undercover handle karegi, jab tak koi clue ni mil jaata .

"undercover.?

Shree and chhotu chorused in union.

"wow.i love undercover cases.

Sakshi beamed,earning glares from both Rathore & arjun.

Ayesha chuckled at her ,whereas the commissioner stood up .

"ok team .kya karna hai,kaise karna hai vo tum sab decide karlo,and department will be ready to provide any kind of support.just keep one thing in mind that we have very less time to deal with this.best of luck and Rathore keep me updated with the progress.

"sure sir.

Rathore nodded idly.

"ok.and umm..Miss Riya,how are you now.?

The commissioner asked turning to her.

"i'm fine,thank you sir.

She smiled.

"hmm..i'm glad you are back here.actually kuch baat karni thi tumse,per case solve hone ke baad.ok.?

"ok sir.

"alright,i will take a leave now.

The commissioner left the hall once after all gave him salutes and Rathore turned to his team.

"ok team hamare pass waqt bahut kam hai issliye sab ye file me job hi hai ek sath study karo phir kuch plan ke bare me sochenge.

"yes sir.

All chorused except Arjun ,who kept his eyes focused on the boy's sketch.

"uh..shree.?

Riya nudged him lightly in a low voice.

"haan.?

"vo..mere absence me drawyers me kuch changes hue the kya.?

"kya.?

Shree looked at her puzzled.

"vo drawyers me.actually maine wahan kuch rakha tha aur abhi vo wahan ni hai issliye.

"arey haan changes toh hue the office change hote waqt,per zyada ni.agar tere drawyer me nit oh dusre drawyers me dekhle.wahin kahin hoga.wese kya dhund rahi hai.?

"uh..vo..err kuch nahi.baad me dhundungi.

She shook her head biting her lip,then looked down to the paper Ayesha just had forwarded to her.

"kya hua Riya? Pareshan kyun lag rahi ho.?

Arjun's question almost made her jump on her seat and she feared if Arjun heard her conversation with Shree.

"nahi.nahi sir kuch nahi.

She blabbered maintaining a straight face.

"sure.?

Arjun raised his brow.

"umm..haan ,sure.

She murmured quickly looking down but however Arjun didn't seem convinced at her reply and eyed her intently.

Hello.. I'm back with another update!!

The places, characters written below are just a part of the fiction, so do not question their existence. :-)

The Wait

Part-4

At 5am in the Morning..

The crowd was busy in hustling and bustling, some betting over their favorite, some cheering up for the fighters, while the fighters were warming up in the underground fighting club.

The host of the event Danny was busy in fixing schedules of the fighters by taking money from them, when he felt a tap on his shoulder, and he turned around to come face to face with the young guy who had a hood covering half of his face.

"Naye ho? Audience uss taraf baithti hai."

Danny pointed his finger somewhere at his back.

"Bachon ka shauk ni hai ki game dekhne aaun. Fight karne aaya hun."

Rathore said arrogantly uncovering the hood from his face, that displayed the hardness on his face and determination in his eyes.

He knew Danny was operating the fight club since years and earning a good amount of money from this business.

Besides all the fighters there were well trained, so there was not much ruckus regarding the fights.

Danny roamed his eyes over his physic for once , then went back to counting the money in his hand.

"hmm.. Kitne paise.?"

"Paise nahi chahiye. Hospital jana hai, Kuch zakhm chahiye."

Rathore replied, causing Danny's eyes to snap up to him to ensure whether the man was joking or not.

But No. Rathore's face remained blank and stern, thus Danny nodded his head.

"Tere jaisa ek aur hai Yahan."

He turned his head to give Rathore a clear vision of someone who was preparing himself for the fight, near a corner.

"Tiger bulate hain usse yahan. Usse bas marne se matlab hai, paison se nahi. Warmup karle next tera number hai."

Danny walked away, while Rathore took the jacket off his body.

Soon the fight started, when both Rathore and Tiger entered the ring giving tough looks to each other.

Rathore threw a punch at him, which he returned with another punch and the chain continued.

At a time Rathore became weak for not having regular practice, meanwhile Tiger aimed his fist near his eye causing blurriness to appear in front of Rathore's vision.

His legs moved a step back trying to clear his vision but it didn't help.

Tiger lunged on him throwing 2-3 punches at a time, making Rathore stumble back but he didn't fall as someone held him by his forearms.

On looking up he met with a pair of concerned eyes.

"Tum.?"

"Chalo yahan se." the person tried to pull him out of the ring.

"Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho Rawte.?"

Rathore managed to stand straight, and his forehead screeched in confusion.

"itna zakhm kaafi hai hospital jaane ke liye Rathore, ab Chalo yahan se."

Arjun said calmly, ignoring his previous question.

Before Rathore could reply, Tiger interrupted them from back.

"ek minute. Kahan leke jaa rahe ho usse? Mera khel abhi tak khatam ni hua hai. Wapas leke aao usse.

Tiger apna koi kaam adhura ni chhodta."

Arjun was about to move forward, but was stopped by Rathore who walked forward towards Tiger instead?

Crawling his palm into a fist, he threw a heavy punch at Tiger, that he fell on the ground wincing loudly.

" Sameer Rathore bhi kabhi apna kaam adhura ni chhodta. Samjhe.?"

"ya Samjhayein.?"

Arjun completed his line, en both shared a look.

ETF office..

Chhotu, Sakshi, shree, Ayesha all were waiting in the conference room for their chiefs to arrive, but they were no where in the sight yet, which was strange.

"ye Arjun, Sameer kahan reh gaye? Hame jaldi bulake khud gayab. Ab toh Arjun ki cutting Chai bhi thandi ho rahi hai."

Sakshi whined eyeing the glass of Chai on the table, she had ordered for him.

"mujhe toh abhi tak samajh nahi aaya ki Kal dono kis baare me baat Kar rahe the."

Ayesha murmured dejectedly.

"dono ki ya sirf Sameer ki.?"

Sakshi teased.

"aesi baat ni hai. Sir ka kya matlab tha ki hum hospital fake injuries ni leke jaayenge.?"

Ayesha sounded worried.

"waise ye sochne wali baat toh hai. Vo Rathore sir hain, unke dimag me kya chalta rehta hai ye Koi ni bata sakta." chhotu spoke, shaking his head.

"guys ssshh.."

Shree sushed them with his eyes fixed on the entrance, from where Arjun and Rathore entered in the same time.

All stood up from their chairs seeing Rathore's injured face and blood dripping down from a cut on his forehead.

"Sir, ye kya hua aapko.?"

Shree questioned pointing at his injuries.

"Mai... Mai first-aid box leke aati hun."

Ayesha was about to go from there, when Rathore stopped her.

"No Ayesha. It's OK. Relax guys, Kuch nahi hua hai. Aur agar yahan first-aid karunga toh hospital me kya karenge.?"

All except Arjun looked at their chief in horror, on realizing he had purposely injured himself for the undercover mission.

"Shree, tum micro cameras laaye ho.?"

Arjun broke the silence sipping his cutting Chai, making Sakshi smile a little.

"yes sir. Maine Ayesha ko dediya hai. Aur ye rahe sabke liye bluetooths."

Shree replied offering each person the device and all took it.

"Sir, maine sudeep se baat karli hai. Vo Rathore sir aur Ayesha ke aas pass rahega." chhotu added.

"Good work Chhotu. Ab hame nikalna chahiye. Let's go Ayesha."

Rathore announced keeping the bluetooth inside his pocket.

"ek min. Mission ke liye hi sahi per Ayesha abhi ke liye Sameer ki wife hai na? Salwar suit toh thik hai, per kuch aur baaki reh gaya hai.

Sameer tum car me baitho, Ayesha thodi dair me aati hai."

Sakshi smiled widely, while chhotu, shree narrowed their gaze at her and Arjun's face remained blank.

Rathore nodded walking away from there, whereas Sakshi grabbed Ayesha's hand till the bathroom.

" ab kya baaki hai.? "Ayesha looked puzzled.

" Arey Buddhu tum ye bhul gayi. "

Sakshi brought a mangalsutra and a small packet of vermilion out of her bag, forwarding them to her.

" mujhe pata tha tum bhul jaogi, issliye mai le aayi. "

Ayesha stared at the mangalsutra, then the vermilion, only to be elbowed by Sakshi.

" ab jaldi Karo isse pehle ki puri ETF team yahan aajaye."

"haan."

Ayesha quickly put the mangalsutra around her neck and filled her parting with a little vermilion, staring at her reflection in the mirror with a small smile.

"ab lag rahi ho na ACP SAMEER RATHORE ki wife."

Sakshi grinned, and Ayesha turned around to fake glare her.

"ssshh.. Kuch bhi. Ab Chalo."

Rathore was waiting in the back seat of the car, when he saw Ayesha coming out of the office through the review mirror and paused tapping his finger on the mobile screen.

She looked pretty and different in that white and peach colored suit with minimal accessories, that he couldn't blink until the door of the car was opened, then closed with a Thump sound.

"Sir chalein."

Ayesha asked sitting next to him on the back seat.

Rathore looked away and cleared his throat.

"yeah. Driver Chalo."

In some 15 mins they reached near the Sanjeevani Hospital and the duo took a brief glance of the place.

"hamari acting yahin se shuru hoti hai Ayesha. Tum andar jao."

Rathore said.

"yes sir."

She was about to get off the car, but stopped on hearing his voice.

"Sameer. Mere naam se bulao yahan."

She hesitated a little, then spoke up.

"uh.. OK si.. Sameer."

With that she rushed inside the hospital, hiding the bluetooth over her ear under her hair, all set to execute their plan.

By the end of 5 days, after going through a lot of ruckus, and shocks ETF had two dead suspects, many names, information leading to a giant racket going on in the hospital, but they hadn't reached till the main culprit much to the frustration of the Chief.

In spite of the inner turmoil Chhotu, Shree were going through after watching the video footage of the hospital again and again, they did not stop from doing their respective jobs perfectly ; which both of their chiefs were proud of, though they did not show it.

After a lot of analysis, and spying on the doctors they found a way to a Secret Cabin in the hospital itself and they did no delay in entering inside to reveal some more dark secrets.

"pura room achhe se check Karo. Har ek file, har ek paper ko double check Karo. Hospital me kya chal raha hai ye yahin se pata chalega.

Shree vo computer se sare data check Karo. Fast."

Rathore ordered, as soon as his whole team barged inside the secret room and all spread out starting their search operation in every corner of the room.

"ye toh kuch medicines ki requirement lists hai."

Ayesha murmured while checking a file.

"aur yahan sayad medicines prepare karne ki processing likha hai. Ye sare formulas and all.."

Sakshi added checking upon another file.

Both nodded their heads at each other and resumed their work.

Chhotu was checking the drawers, when he got something among few papers and stood up.

" Sir, mujhe ek note book mila hai jisme kuch logon ke naam likhe hain."

"Ye kahin wohi notebook toh nahi jiski baare me Raghu marne se pehle baat Kar raha tha? Chhotu check Karo Usme kahin bhi Raghu ka naam likha hua hai kya.?"

Arjun asked thoughtfully, then went back to the file he was reading.

"Dekhta hun sir."

Replied chhotu, and flipped over the pages of that notebook.

"haan sir, iske piche Raghu ka naam likha hai."

He declared few minutes later.

"iska matlab ye unn patients ke naam hai Jo jinda hai, per doctors ne unhe mara hua bol diya hai.? "

Ayesha piped in, curiously.

Chhotu looked at her, then at the notebook, in surprise.

"Per ye toh kuch 30 se upar honge log."

All turned their heads to him that instant , stunned.

"kya.? 30 se upar.?"

Rathore muttered in shock.

"haan sir."

Chhotu confirmed his doubt.

"itne Sare logon ko duniya ke liye mara hua batake, ye doctors unke sath kya kar rahe hain? Abhi kahan honge ye sab? Aur zinda bhi hai ya..?"

Sakshi blabbered in disbelief, thus all fell silent afterwards?

"Hum jitna soch rahe the ye sab usse bhi kuch bada kar rahe hain Rathore."

Arjun chirped eyeing him intently,and Rathore silently agreed to him.

"ek min... Chhotu,Usme Jo naam likhe hain jara ek ke baad ek padhna."

Shree spoke, with his eyes fixed on the computer screen.

"haan Aakash chhabra, Rupesh Kumar, Anjali Taneja, Dev Mathur.. Isme toh Anita ji ke bete ka naam bhi hai."

Chhotu murmured, astonished.

"Sir, notebook me Jo patients ke naam hai, yahan unki puri details hai. Jaise ki vo kis din hospital me admit hue the, unhe kya bimari thi sab Kuch, Vo bhi unke photo ke sath."

Shree explained, hence Rathore came and glanced at the screen briefly.

"ek kaam Karo chhotu tum sare naam padhte jao, aur Shree check Karo kya sabke details available hai?

Agar kuch extra patients ka naam nikalta hai toh usse note down Karo. Quick."

"yes sir."

Both shree and Chhotu said in union, before going back to their work.

"Rathore."

Arjun called out.

"kuch mila Rawte.?"

Rathore approached him quickly.

"ye dekho, Kuch foreign companies ke naam pe presentation ready kiya jaa raha tha, deal ke liye . companies ki list hai isme. " Arjun handed him few papers.

"kis cheez ki deal.?"

"ek medicine ki."

Then Arjun thought something, before continuing speaking.

"ab kuch kuch samajh me aaraha hai Rathore.

Inn logon ne kisi medicine ki khoj ki hai, Jo na India na kahin bahar available hai.

Ye presentation dikha ke Jo bhi foreign company zyada bhav dega, usse vo medicine bech diya jaayega. Lekin ye presentation adha hi hua hai, pura nahi. "

" itna chori chhupe kaam ho raha hai, upar se crime kiya hai inn logon ne. Toh vo medicine koi achhe kaam ke liye toh ni hoga for sure. "

Rathore shook his head.

" Exactly. Medicine koi achhe purpose ke liye hota toh doctors itna bada racket ni chalate, Vo bhi hospital me. "

Kyunki aese logon ki maut se kisiko Shaq ni jaayega, aur doctors aaram se patient ke jaise dikhne wale kisi dusre admi ko uska face mask pehna ke mara hua bata sakte hain.

Aur Jo asli patient hain unpe ye medicine ki testing ki jaa rahi hai. "

" matlab ho sakta hai, abhi tak jitno ki maut hui hai unki maut ki wajah vo medicine ho.? "

Both Rathore and Arjun sighed, when Rathore realised chhotu had stopped speaking, and Shree, Ayesha were calling him again and again.

" chhotu kya hua? Ek toh ye computer itna slow chal raha hai, upar se tum kyun ruk gaye.? "

Shree cringed.

" chhotu, Shree kuch keh raha hai."

Ayesha tried to shake him, but he was standing like a statue, eyeing the notebook blankly.

"Chhotu.?"

Both of their chiefs came standing near them, while Rathore shook him causing chhotu to jerk up with fresh tears rolling down of his eyes.

Rathore softened a little.

"kya hua hai chhotu.?"

"Sir vo vo..."

Chhotu stammered pointing at the notebook, then wiped his tears with his palm.

Arjun took the notebook from him and checked the front en back of it,but found nothing.

Taking a glance at chhotu's state he went through the patient's names, Rathore too joined him.

After some 2 pages Arjun suddenly stiffed on reading a particular name in the 3rd page, and he rechecked the list to ensure he read the name right.

The creased confused lines from Rathore's forehead disappeared, as soon as his eyes fell on the same name, hence he took the notebook from Arjun staring at the name blankly.

"guys kya hua? Sab suddenly itna tensed kyun hogaye.?"

Sakshi asked confusingly, specially eyeing Arjun.

"Sir, kiska naam likha hai Wahan.?"

Ayesha asked in a low voice.

"Riya Mukherjee."

Rathore replied, still in a daze, whereas Shree stood up from his chair that instant.

Sakshi and Ayesha looked at each other, then at their team members.

They may not know what attachment the girl had in their lives, but they knew the name.

And now by looking at their faces they could see the emotional trauma they were going through ;though it was hard to fetch any changes on Arjun's face, but then sakshi knows him a little after all.

"Per.. Ye Koi aur bhi toh ho sakti hai."

Ayesha murmured and Rathore looked up to her nodding in understanding.

"shree, pehle Chhotu ko Pani pilao."

"ji sir."

Shree blinked back his tears and took the glass of water from the table, when his eyes moved to the computer screen in front of him.

The next thing all heard was the breaking sound of the glass that scattered on the floor in pieces and turned around to witness a stunned Shree taking few back steps abruptly.

"Shree.?"

Arjun looked puzzled, while others went forward towards him.

"Sir ye kaise ho sakta hai.?"

Shree gulped, sounding in disbelief.

Everyone followed his gaze to the screen and their doubts were clear now.

"ye toh wohi hai."

Sakshi's lips parted a little in shock.

Rathore couldn't blink his lashes from the details of the patient no - 39 Riya Mukherjee, displaying on the screen.

Chhotu now smiled faintly, getting to see her face Again.

And Arjun leaned over the table to take a closer look at the photo of the patient.

Dressed in the hospital robe and an oxygen mask over the face , the girl laying on the bed was none other than Riya, and he suddenly remembered the day he had closed her eyes taking her as dead.

Being ETF officers they hardly believe in miracles, but what were they seeing now left them spellbound.

Since Arjun had seen the best and worst of his life, the picture in front of his eyes was enough to change his take on life itself.

He always believed - once people leave you, never come back,no matter whatever attachment you have with them ;that's cruel reality, but then here today he got to see the picture of whom he and others had assumed to be dead.

Though not willingly, still they had accepted her death.

Heck! They were even standing in her funeral with a heavy heart and red eyes.

Then how it could be possible?

"Team. Yahan Jo kuch bhi hai, sab office le Chalo."

Rathore's commanding voice broke his trance, as well as other's en all stood up straight composing themselves.

"Guys, tum log yahan baat Karo mai doctor se milke aata hun."

Rathore spoke breaking the silence in the room.

All got engrossed in talking to Riya, while Arjun accompanied Rathore towards the doctor's cabinet, and Rathore wasn't surprised at all.

"May we come in doctor.?"

Rathore knocked the door of the doctor's cabin.

"yes. Come in ."

Came the instant reply, thus the duo entered in, pushing the door open.

"Hello Doctor."

Rathore greeted, stretching his hand.

"oh hello Mr Rathore."

The doctor shook his hand with him, then did the same with Arjun.

"please have a seat."

Both Arjun and Rathore occupied the two Chairs across the doctor's table.

"so... Maine kaha tha na ki aapki officer bahut jaldi thik hojayegi, aur aaj dekhiye."

The doctor stared with a smile.

"Thank you so much doctor Riya ka itna dhyan rakhne ke liye. Waise hum puchne aaye the ki ab Riya ki health condition kya hai?

Matlab kya vo danger zone se bahar hai.?"

Rathore asked.

"ji haan. Ab Vo danger zone se bahar hain. Bas coma se itne mahino ke baad bahar aane ki wajah se unke body muscles reflex hone me thoda time lagega. Jaise ki unhe abhi chalne phirne me problem ho sakti hai, per jitni fastly vo medicines ko respond kar rahin hai, i don't think unhe iske liye zyada time lagega. "the doctor replied, thus Rathore nodded in understanding.

"doctor aap keh rahe the ki, Riya ke body me abhi bhi vo virus ki kuch traces hain. Toh kya future me Riya ko iski wajah se koi problem hogi.?" Arjun spoke for the first time among them, when Rathore gave him an impressive look.

"ji nahi. Virus ke kuch traces hain, per vo itne harmful ni hai. Dheere dheere medicines ke sath vo unki body me melt ho jayenge. Haan per abhi ke liye Miss Riya ko thoda cautious hona Jaruri hai. Hum normally jitna thand mehsoos kar rahe hain, unhe bas thoda zyada thand lagega virus ki wajah se, toh unhe iss baat ka dhyan rakhna padega. "

The doctor replied.

" sure doctor, hum khud iss baat ka dhyan rakhenge. Thank you. "

Rathore got up from his seat, as well as Arjun.

" my pleasure. "

The doctor shook his hand with each of them, before the two officers took an exit.

There all were chitchatting, laughing with Riya, when Arjun came walking in and stood near the door.

" Agar Sabka milna, julna ho gaya ho toh ek case pending pada hai. Chalein.?"

All the smiles literally dropped at Arjun's harsh tone, even Rathore wasn't pleased.

Arjun, ignoring everyone's disapproving looks walked out of the hospital, whereas Rathore forced a small smile to Riya and followed Arjun's path.

However others passed pity look to Riya, specially Chhotu and Shree knowing how much it would have hurt their friend, but Riya looked amused.

"Arey yar ye toh bilkul bhi ni badle."

"Haan Arjun ka toh aesa hi hai." Sakshi shook her head.

"ab jaldi jao ni toh vo samjhe ya samjhaun aajayenge yahan tum logon ki class lene." Riya chuckled to lit up the atmosphere, and it worked.

Her friends bid her goodbyes, promising to visit her later and hurriedly approached the SUV, where the both of their chiefs were already seated.

" itna rude hone ki koi jarurat ni thi. "Rathore groaned in the passenger seat.

" mai toh hamesha se aesa hi hun. Pata ni aapko mujhse itni umeed kyun hai, SIR. "Arjun mocked, earning a hard glare from Rathore who kept mum afterwards.

Few hours later...

ETF OFFICE.

"insensitivity ki bhi hadd hoti hai Rawte.

Ek 19 saal ka ladka hai vo, aur tumne usse itna dara diya ki vo hamare naak ke niche se bhag gaya."

Rathore chided, whilst glaring Arjun in the conference room.

"Mai bas apni duty kar raha tha."

Arjun clarified, folding his arms across his chest.

"akele duty ni karte ho tum. Yahan hum bhi wohi karne aate hain."

Rathore retorted back.

"mera vo matlab ni tha."

"tumhara Jo bhi matlab ho Rawte usse mujhe Koi lena dena ni hai.

Ab tum itne Chhote bhi ni rahe ki kahan kaise behave karna hai, ye mujhe tumhe sikhana padega. Ab uss ladke ko tum hi dhund ke laoge, Vo bhi sahi salamat."

Rathore said with finality in his voice, to which Arjun threw a glare in return before walking away from the hall.

" Shree, Chalo mere sath. "

" uh.. Sir mai.? "

Shree muttered under his breath gulping, then turned to Chhotu.

"jaa tujhe bhukha sher khud nigalne ke liye bula raha hai." Chhotu passed a pity look to his friend.

"Shree." Arjun almost roared angrily, thus shaking the conference hall.

"ji. Aaya.. Aaya sir."

Shree stammered hurriedly following Arjun towards the exit, when Rathore shook his head in disbelief.

"Shree, Ram ke parents ka kuch pata Chala.?"

Arjun questioned, once they got inside the SUV.

"Nahi sir, Vo Jahan rent pe rehta tha Wahan kisi ne uske parents ko ni dekha, aur uske ghar se ek notebook se mujhe ye adress mila. Sayad uske parents wahin rehte hain."

Shree replied showing him a piece of paper.

Arjun glanced at the paper once, and accelerated the car to their desired destination.

On reaching there Arjun looked forward to enter Ram's closed house, while Shree enquired from the neighbors as per his boss's order.

Arjun broke the lock of the house entering in, en roamed his eyes around the dusted area, which seemed like to be empty since a long time.

"Sir, bahar logon ne bataya ki ye Ram ki maa ki pehle se death ho chuki thi, aur baap sharab ke nashe me roz bete ko maarta tha, issliye Vo shehar bhag gaya padhai karne." Shree breathed in a go, following Arjun inside.

"aur uska baap.?"

Arjun raised his brow.

"baap ka toh kuch ata, pata hi nahi hai. Neighbor me bataya ki bete ke jaane ke baad vo sharab peeke yahan Wahan pada rehta tha, aur mahino tak ghar ni aata tha. Issliye abhi vo kahan hai, kisiko ni pata." Shree shrugged.

"ho sakta hai bete ke peeche peeche shehar Chala gaya ho." he added thoughtfully.

"ek kaam Karo Shree, Ram ke ghar se Jo hame family photo mili thi vo apne informers me circulate kardo, aur dhund nikalo vo Kahan hai. Vo photo Mr Patel ki society me bhi dikha dena, sayad usse Wahan Kisine dekha ho."

"OK sir."

"aur haan vo Aman, Jo Mr Patel ke ghar aata jaata tha, uski puri details chahiye mujhe. Pata ni kyun mujhe aesa lag raha hai ki ram ka iss murder me koi hath ni hai."

"OK sir."

Shree nodded walking away.

"ye Arjun sir toh mujhe chalta phirta machine samajh rahe hain, itne Sare kaam? Ri, tu ek baar thik ho jaa phir ye sare kaam tujhse karwaunga."

He murmured to himself, then suddenly remembering something he took his phone out and dialed a number.

Arjun came walking towards the SUV a second later, only to find Shree talking to the doctor over the call.

" OK. Thank you doctor. "

He ended the call and turned around to witness, Arjun there with a stern look.

"Umm.. Sir mai bas.. Err chalein.?"

Shree stuttered.

Arjun nodded, getting inside the car when Shree occupied the driver seat.

The ride was silent, until Arjun decided to break it.

"kya keh rahe the doctor.?"

Shree craned his neck to his boss,visibly shocked then looked back to the road.

"vo sir, doctor ne Kaha ki Riya abhi aaram kar rahi hai, medicine khane ke baad."

"uski health me improvement ho rahi hai."

Arjun only nodded his head in reply, whereas Shree smiled a little.

"sir Arjun sir ka SUV abhi tak bahar hi hai,matlab vo dono abhi tak chawl me hi hai.

Ayesha spoke as they stood near the entry gate of the chawl.

"per dono phone kyun ni utha rahe hain.?

Chhotu muttered trying Riya's number once again.

"yahan toh kuch celebration jaisa chal raha hai.yahan arjun aur Riya ko kaise dhundenge.?

Sakshi murmured eyeing the crowd gathered up in the chawl.

"kuch bhi ho guys hame unn dono ko jald hi dhundna hai.

Shree chirped sighing,as arjun's phone rings went unanswered yet again.

"team maine kuch officers ko bhej diya hai siraj ko arrest karne ke liye,abhi hame sabse pehle Riya aur Rawte ko dhundna hai.so c'mon hurry up.

Rathore breathed in a go after finishing a call,and entered the chawl accompanied by others.

For them looking around in search of their two officers was a little bit difficult since the air was filled with colors,flower petals were floating everywhere and the loud music wasn't helping much.

Arjun danced in the centre freely along with the other chawl boys ,whereas Riya still stood stunned ,looking at him from the upper floor.

Shree muttered protecting his eyes from the colors,just when Ayesha halted her steps staring ahead at someone in surprise.

"Ayesha ruk kyun gayi? Chalna.

Sakshi tried to pull by her hand,but she didn't buzz with her mouth slightly open.

"Arjun sir.

As soon as her mouth left the name all attentions were now turned to her.

"arjun sir dikhe? Kahan hai?

Shree questioned roaming his eyes around.

"Ayesha ,kahan hai Rawte.?

Rathore asked calmly,hence Ayesha stretched her hand to her front and all eyes moved to the direction she was pointing.

Rathore's worried face turned to a blank one,but surprisingly he wasn't angry; instead he was astonished en stunned to be precise.

He couldn't remember the last time he had seen Arjun Rawte smiling this much widely,let alone dancing among so many people.

A loud gasp escaped from Sakshi's mouth as he eyed arjun's perfect dance steps en blinked again and again to ensure it wasn't a dream.

Chhotu muttered in disbelief rubbing off his eyes.

"agar aesa hai chhotu ,toh jarur hum sab ke aankhon me bhi kuch chala gaya hai,kyunki hum sabko arjun sir dance karte hue dikh rahe hain.

Ayesha mumbled,still in a daze.

Shree held his forehead and leaned over sakshi's shoulder to prevent himself from falling down ,while she held him to keep their balance.

"shree kya hua tumhe.?

"pata nahi,mujhe sab kuch ghumta hua najar aaraha hai.

"shree sambhal khudko.pata ni kyun per mujhe aesi feeling arahi hai ki ye sirf trailer hai.

Chhotu murmured near his ear,not diverting his eyes from arjun once.

There were two people who were not in a condition to speak.

Rathore, who was watching Arjun intently and Riya,who was yet to come over her stiff posture.

Shree asked after a long term of silence .

"vo upar.

Sakshi replied pointing at Riya's direction near the railing and others let out a sigh of relief finding both of them safe ; but then the Arjun Rawte was still dancing.

"bichari vo bhi shock me chali gayi hai.

Chhotu muttered stealing a glance at her ,then back to Arjun.

Riya finally blinked taking all the happening around her ,then moved her eyes to Arjun ;who was quite engrossed in enjoying himself.

Confused with him,and all the situation she started climbing off the stairs not blinking her eyes from Arjun for once.

Her hair was now showered with the faint colours of the air,flower petals but she didn't bother to get rid of them as her mind was too much occupied over that one person,who had now brought an old lady ,dancing and him twirling her with a never ending smile on his face.

As she reached downstairs stood at a distance ,still eyeing Arjun, when some from the people being in engrossed in the celebration unintentionally pushed her forward.

She tried to get out of the crowd ,instead was pushed further until her back with something,causing her to turn around that instant only to realise that something was none other than Arjun's broad chest.

He paused his dance spotting Riya standing close to him with a blank look and he couldn't avert his eyes.

Suddenly he was pulled by a random guy to continue the dance,hence he turned his back to Riya and resumed his dance.

Riya stood there only,watching the Arjun she had never seen whereas the whole ETF was a mute spectator of the scenario with Shree ,chhotu exchanging glances,Ayesha ,sakshi trying to comprehend the silent moment between riya & Arjun and Rathore..well. his face was unreadable.

Riya blinked sudddenly finding arjun leaving dancing and approaching her with quick steps ,en the other moment he was holding her wrist making his way out of the chawl along with him.

Riya being in a daze didn't question first,but when her subconscious kicked in she eyed arjun's hand holding hers then up to him.

"sir aap kya...

The rest of the question died in her throat as soon as her gaze fell on the other team members near the entrance of the hall ,causing her forehead to crease with confused lines and so of Arjun's.

"tum sab yahan.?

Arjun asked on reaching near them,and left Riya's hand.

Instead of answering all eyed him questioningly including Riya ,while he didn't seem bothered by their looks at all,and roamed his eyes around.

"hame yahan se nikalna padega jald se jald.let's go.

Arjun spoke eyeing the team.

Rathore opened his mouth to question him but shut it deciding to deal with him later and nodded.

Soon they got inside the SUVS en drove away ,with everyone's mind still around whatever happened in the chawl.

As the SUVs were driving through a lonely road Arjun felt Rathore's car overtaking him and blocking his way in the mid way making him apply a break that instant.

"tum bhale hi normal pertain kar sakte ho Rawte per mai nahi.so now you have to answer WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT.?'

Rathore chirped coldly getting out of the car,when others braced themselves for their two chief's heated argument.

"arjun sir toh gaye.

Shree muttered in a low voice.

"kis bare me baat kar rahe ho Rathore.?

Arjun asked calmly leaning against his SUV.

"Really rawte? Tumhe ni pata? Yahan hum itni baar tum dno ka phone try kar rahe the,koi answer ni kuch ni.aur jab hum wahan pahunche toh kya dekhte hain ,Arjun suryakant Rawte busy in entertaining himself.

Rathore mocked ,glaring him.

"vo sorry sir,mera phone gaadi me reh gaya tha.

Riya spoke checking her phone quickly.

"aur tumhara Rawte.?

Rathore's brows raised.

Arjun took the phone out of his jeans pocket only to see various missed calls from Shree,sakshi,chotu and Rathore himself.

"wahan shor me pata ni chala kab ring hua.

"ofcourse Rawte.sunai deta bhi kaise.?

"rathore wahan attack hone wala tha,guns ready the hamare liye.maine vo sab kiya taaki vo distract ho jaaye bheed me aur chawl me koi gunshot na ho.

Arjun explained.

"per Arjun tumhe kaise pata chala wahan gunshot hone wala hai.?

Sakshi questioned,eyeing him quizzically.

"kyunki ye sab jisne plan kiya maine ussi ke muh se suna ye sab.

Saari planning Ganesh Utsav ke liye nahi Rathore,vo chawl ko udane ke liye bana hai.

As soon as Arjun finished all looked at him in disbelief.

"kya.?

Ayesha's eyes widened.

"jab mai aur riya chawl me gaye tabhi mujhe shaq hogaya tha kuch gadbad hai.nahi toh chawl ke 25^th anniversary pe hatiyaron ka kya kaam?

Humne dhyan ni diya per chawl ke aas pass ka area khali ho chukka hai,ek industrialist wahan ek company banana chahta hai ,toh zahir si baat hai ek mamuli chawl company ki shova ni badhayegi.

Pratm ke family ke alawa maine wahan kucch aur families se puch tach kiya tha,unhe vo jagah khali karne ke liye kaha gaya tha.

Isske liye unhe paise bhi offer kiy gaye the per wahan ke logon ne chawl chhodne se mana kar diya.

Aur issliye ye sab planning ki gayi,Pratim ko bhi abhi tak zinda rakha hai kyunki aakhir me wohi explosives fit karega aur chawl girne ke baad sara ilzam usske sar pe dala diya jaayega.

Arjun breathed in a go.

"usme toh pratim ki family bhi rehti hai,toh pratim khud apni fmily ko maarna chahta hai.?

Sakshi piped in.

"nahi sakshi, pratim ki family chawl girne se pehle vo jagah chhodne wali thi .jab hum uske ghar gaye toh bed ke suitcases rakhe hue the.jo sayad Riya ke najar me bhi gaya tha.right Riya.?

Arjun turned to her who had a thoughtful look on her face.

"haan sir mai wohi kehne aapke pass arahi thi,aur sayad unhe chawl girne ki baat unhe bhi pata hai,issliye unhone mujhse kaha wahan se jaane ke liye.

Riya replied.

"toh mastermind vo business man hai,per chawl me se koi toh uski help jarur kar raha hoga.

Chhotu chirped confidently.

"vo chawl ki mukhiya,Rajni devi.

Rathore nodded his head in acknowledgement.

"right.

Arjun agreed with him.

"Rajni Devi ka beta Partim ko hamesha dara ke rakhta tha, per Pichle Kuch dino se vo Uske sath achhe se baat kar raha tha, aur dono Kuch secretly discuss kar rahe the.

Sayad Rajni Devi ke bete ne Pratim ko iss kaam ke liye manaya hoga ya phir dhamkaya hoga.

Aur wese bhi Rajni Devi ke jaankari ke bina itna bada kaam ni hosakta. "

Rathore explained.

"per sir vo sab chawl me hi the, aur hum wahin unhe pakad sakte the. Wapas kyun aagaye hum.? "

Riya questioned.

"Agar hum wahan Kuch karte toh vo log chawl walon pe bhi attack kar dete. "

Rathore answered her.

"vo log hum tak ni pahunch sake toh Kya, hum unke pass chale jaate hain. Ye game khatam karte hain. "

Arjun chirped wearing his goggle.

Rathore nodded his head , en others too agreed with their two chiefs.

Few hours later...

The case was finally solved after a lot of ruckus, en the culprits were arrested before they could harm the chawl.

Rathore and Arjun went to the commissionarate office as per the commissioner's call, while Sakshi, Chhotu, Shree, Ayesha choosed the cafeteria to relax themselves in their chief's absence.

"achha hua Arjun sir, Rathore sir ni hai. Ni toh case khatam hote hi paper work pe bitha dete. "

Shree shook his head, sipping the coffee.

"Haan yaar. Per in sab me hum Kuch bhul ni rahe hain.? "

Sakshi narrowed her gaze.

"Kya.? "

Chhotu, Ayesha asked in union.

Sakshi shifted her focus to Shree, hoping he would know the answer but he simply shrugged his shoulders.

"Guys kal Ganesh Utsav hai. Hum puja ni karenge.?"

Sakshi squealed in excitement.

"arey haan hum toh bhul hi gaye the.

Planning karni padegi. Toh batao kaun Kya karega? "

Ayesha looked at her friends questioningly.

"umm..mai puja ka saman leke aaungi. "

Sakshi announced.

"mai phool le aaunga. "

Shree added.

"aur Ri Prasad leke aaye...*pause* ek min Ri kahan hai.? "

Shree looked around to find a trace of her, but she wasn't there.

"vo Riya Kuch report bana rahi thi. Usne kaha tha report khatam hone ke baad aajayegi. "

Came Ayesha's quick reply.

"arey ye ladki bhi.

Mai leke aata hun usse. "

Chhotu quickly walked out of the cafeteria towards the conference hall en entered in silently, where Riya was seated on her chair.

On a close look Chhotu noticed her focus wasn't on the notepad laying in front of her eyes, instead she seemed lost with a faint smile on her lips.

"Riya.? "

"uh.. Haan. "

She looked up to him, aware of his presence.

"Kya soch rahi ho.? "

"vo... "

"ab ye mat kehna ki Kuch nahi.

Maine dekha tumhari smile. Ab batao. "

"um... Chhotu mai bas aaj jo hua uss ke baare me soch rahi thi.

Riya replied thoughtfully.

"kiske ? arjun sir ke bare me.?

Chhotu raised his brow,to which she nodded her head.

"sach kahun toh mujhe bhi yakeen ni hua ,mujhe kya puri ETF ko yakeen ni hua ki Arjun sir dance kar rahe the,aur vo bhi itne ache se.

Per unka reason pata hote hi samajhme aagaya ki vo apne duty kee liye kuch bhi kar sakte hain.

Chhotu said,chuckling to himself.

"vo toh hai Chhotu per maine unhe aaj pehli baar itna khush dekha .case ke liye dance thik hai,per pata ni kyun mujhe aesa kyun laga ki vo sach me bahut khush the.

Riya explained .

"kya lagta hai kis baat pe itna khush honge.?

"pata nahi.ab Arjun sir ki baatein toh Arjun sir hi jaane.per achha laga unhe aese dekh ke.

"Riya.?

"haan.?

"tu bol kyun ni deti Arjun sir ko.?

"kya bolun.?

"tujhe pata hai mai kya bolne ke liye keh raha hun.

Chhotu answered in a duh tone.

"boldun.taakki vo phir se kabhi meri shakal na dekhein? No thanks.

Riya joked.

"nahi seriously.Arjun sir bahut lucky hain,aur unhe ye baat pata chalni chahiye.

"chhotu vo bas hame apni teammates maante hain.vo jo pehle iss tima ka hissa banna bhi ni chahte the aaj vo team ke sath cooperate kar rahe hain,aur mai ussi me khush hun.unnecccessarily apni feelings unpe daalke mai jo hai usse khona ni chahti.

"per Ri...

"chhodo uss baat ko.tum kuch kehne aaye the sayad,baatao.?

Chhotu sighed at her attempt to change the topic ,but nevertheless dropped the subject smiling at her.

"mai ye kehne aya tha kal office me Bappa ki puja karne ke liye sab planning kar rahe hain aur tujhe dhund rahe hain.

"haan toh chalo.kal puja shandaar tarikee se karenge.

She smiled back and accompanied chhotu towards the cafeteria.

There Ayesha who was standing near the door of the conference room earlier was now hiding near a corner seeing Chhotu & Riya taking an exit ,not to make them aware that she heard their entire conversation .

Once chhotu,riya were gone for the cafeteria Ayesha came out of the corner en recalled their convo.

"Arjun sir aur Riya.?

There Rathore was driving the SUV after returning from the commissionrate office ,while Arjun was seated on the passenger seat staring out of the window aimlessly.

Rathore took a glance at him ,then to the front focusing on the road when Arjun decided to break the silence between them.

"kuch kehna chahte ho rathore.?

"nahi.actually haan aaj jo bhi hua vo dubara ni hona chahiye.ETF ki second in command chief ho tum,koi teenager nahi.

Rathore chirped sternly.

"vo case ke liye tha Rathore.

"sure.

By the tone of Rathore arjun knew he didn't believe him,but then he doesn't feel like explaining him.

"wese achhi baat hai ki commissioner sir Riya ko uski bravery ke liye Reward dena chahte hain,jo vo pichle saal lene ke liye nahi thi.vo iss bare me Riya se baat bhi karne wale hain.isse usse aur encouragement milega.

Rathore started.

"mujhe ni lagta Riya ye reward ke liye haan kahegi.

Arjun said thoughtfully,hence Rathore turned to look at him confusingly.

"kyun.?

"kyunki hum officers ko duty ke liye reward ki jarurat ni hai Rathore .uss jagah pe mai ,tum ya koi aur ETF officer hota toh mana karta ,aur riya bhi wohi karegi.

Rathore nodded in understanding even though he wanted to say something else to Arjun but refrained himself .

This guy beside him was changing...Changing for good and probably he himself didn't know.
