CHAPTER 20:

Sakshi was in the kitchen. She brought out the food she made last night. She frowned.

Sakshi: Yeh Arjun ko ho kya gya hai? Kal rat ko khana kiyu nehi khaya?

She packed the food and put it in the freeze. She made roti and sabji with chatni. Then she started waiting. The letters last night surely helped her condition.

After sometime Arjun came out from the room. He didn't talk to her just simply sat on the chair.

Sakshi served him roti with sabji. She also put some chatni in his plate. Arjun checked her plate first. But it was empty. So he got up from the chair and washed his hand. He went from there without eating. This tme Sakshi called him back. After her mother's death for the first time she opened her mouth.

Sakshi: Arjun kaha jaa rahe ho? Khana khake jao. Tumne kaal raat ko bhi nehi khaya.

Arjun: Bhook nehi hai.

Sakshi: But Arjun..

Before she could say anything he went away from there. A lone tear escaped her eyes.

Arjun went to the terrace and clenched his hands into fists. His heart was pricking seeing her long face. But it was necessary.

Arjun: I am sorry Sakshi. But you need to understand. To bring you back it's needed to be done.

He sighed. His phone buzzed. It was Sameer. He received the call.

Arjun: Ha Sam kaisa hai tu?

Sameer: Main thik hoom. Tu kaisa hai?

Arjun: Hoom.

Sameer: Aur Sakshi?

Arjun: Thoda sudhar aya hai.

Sameer: Arjun are you sure what you are doing is gonna good?

Arjun: Sam hamare paas yehi ek rasta bacha hai.

Sameer: Ok. Kaal milte hai.

Arjun: Sambhal ke ana. Aur dhyan rahe ki koi tera peecha na kare.

Sameer: Main dhyan rakhunga. Bye.

Arjun: Bye.

Sameer cut the call and stared out of the window. He was worried. Damn worried. Someone knocked the door.

Sameer: Come in.

To his wonder Aisha entered. He was not sure why she is here. Today they have no case. Moreover Aisha didn't strike him like someone who will come to talk with him. Who will share his burden.

Sameer: Aisha? Tum yaha? Kuch kaam tha?

Aisha: Sir aap Sakshi ko lekar bohot pareshan hai na?

Sameer became amused. How did she know?

Sameer: Tumhe..

Aisha smiled.

Aisha: Itna to main aapko janti hi hoom.

Sameer looked up and looked closely at her eyes. For the first time he noticed some emotions he didn't notice before.

In the garage Karan was working on a car. Piyali, Simran and Angai were sitting near him.

Simran: Karan yeh Arjun kaha gya hai? Tumhe kuch pata hai?

Karan: Haan. Woh ETF wali Sakshi Anand ayi thi ek din yaha. Usski mom ki death ho gyi hai. Abbhi shera wahi par hai.

Piyali: Likin waha rehke Arjun kya karega? Woh wapas kiyu nehi aa jata?

Karan let out an irritated sigh and turned to Piyali.

Karan: Piyali Sakshi's mother is no more. She need some moral support. That's why Arjun is there. Aab ayi baat samajh mein?

He turned and again got busy in car.

Piyali (in mind): Hmm. Abhi abhi usski maa ki mout hui hai. Toh filhal mera Arjun safe hai. Maa ko khone ka dard kya hota hai yeh to main neh janti but I can sympathy size with her. Aab acchese mera Arjun wapas aa jye. Uss Sakshi ko mein samjha dunga ki Arjun sirf aur sirf mera hai.

Karan (in mind): Iss Piyali ka main kya karo. Roj ek baar karke shera ke bare mein poochti rehti hai. Kaise samjhavuum ki shera Sakshi se pyar karta hai. Woh Piyali ke paas kabhi nehi jyega. I guess aab sirf aur sirf shera hi isse samjha sakta hai.

Sakshi sat sitting there numb. Thinking why Arjun did this to her. Her mind voice spoke up.

Mind voice: Aren't this is the same thing you are doing with everyone? Shutting them out and staying isolate?

Sakshi: But I just lost my mother!!

Mind voice: And your father lost his beloved wife. Your grandmother lost her daughter in law. Sameer lost his Mami. And Arjun. He lost his love again.

Sakshi's whole body shook up. She was making everyone going through hell. She was snatching herself away from them. She gave Arjun so much pain. She didn't even give him the right of husband. She knew how much he love her and she also knew how eagerly he waited to marry her. Isn't it the same thing she wanted? Getting Arjun as her husband. Spend the rest of the life with the man she loved. Fresh tears found its way out. She wiped out her tears and composed herself. Her mother used to say.. "Be happy with what you have. Never mourn over something you never can get".

Sakshi: Sorry mamma. Sorry Arjun. I am very sorry.

She quickly went to the bedroom and closed the door behind.

Arjun just came down from the terrace when he noticed the door of the bedroom closed.

Arjun: Shit!!!!

He ran towards the door and knocked.

Arjun: Sakshi!! Darwaja kholo. Darwaja kholo Sakshi abbhi.

He knocked again. Getting no response he kicked the door.

Arjun: Sakshi please darwaja kholo. Sakshi please.

He was about to open the door with shoulder when the door got open. In the door standing Sakshi. Wearing her bridal suit and jewelry. She was looking as beautiful as the wedding day. May be more. Arjun kept staring at her with mouth wide open. Sakshi came to him and made his mouth closed.

Sakshi came closer. She put her hands around his neck and whispered in his ear.

Sakshi: Kya ACP sahab? Aise kya dekh rahe hai? Patni hu aapki koi paryi aurat nehi hoom jo touch nehi kar sakte.

Arjun had to smile at this. So Ms. Sakshi Anand oops sorry Mrs. Sakshi Arjun Rawte is back. And that too with a BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!
