CHAPTER 1

Sameer is pacing back and forth as shree watches on. Shree nervously says "rathore sir, I am sure some mistake has been done by intelligence. When they come they will just say it's a mistake." Sameer nodded his head but in his heart he knows that the intelligence is rarely wrong.

Sameer's POV

How did it come to this? my team. My family. My life. Aisha, Arjun, Shree, Chotu, Liza, Sakshi. A team of the finest people I have met. But now I am suspecting any of them to be a traitor. Oh god. why are you testing so much? Arjun is right. sikander exists. But now it is too late to make amends. The distance between us has become too far. Now the only relationship we have is of hatred.

Shree keeps on looking at the laptop but his mind shows the faces of all his teammates. The team he considers as his family. He cannot believe that any one of them betrayed them. No he does'nt want to believe.

Shree's POV

I am sure there is a mistake. Our team is the best. We would rather lay down our lives than betray each other. No there cannot be a traitor in our midst. We were together from the start. All the highs and lows we faced as a team. No, I cannot believe this.

Intelligence officer mr dixit enters the room. shree looks up whereas sameer stops his pacing. Looking at their faces mr dixit felt bad. This is the team which india has seen fighting crimes without any care for their lives. The team prided itself in having a solidarity which impressed every single person they met. Yet to know that one of them is a traitor is liking poking a hole. But he has no choice. He had to warn them before it is too late. Mr dixit's face conveyed everything to sameer and his heart sank. They do have a traitor in their midst. Who is it. Arjun? Never. Aisha. Remembering aisha brought back the memories of the moments they spent together. His heart wants to believe that aisha is innocent but the officer in him had to also face facts. And the facts where that aisha had joined the team only after her undercover mission was spoiled. That undercover mission whose head was sikander's man. So could it be she? Shree. No because he would'nt be here. Chotu. Sameer hoped not. Memories of his face and how he always thought about food. Sameer is going to think further when mr dixit gave a file to him. he said "this contains the name of the traitor." Sameer took the file and though he was trembling from the inside but his demeanour was that of a chief revealing nothing. That is until he opens the file. His expression became stone. Shree seeing the stiffening of sameer's posture got up and came to him. he took the file from him and seeing the name his hand clenched into fists. He went through the whole file checking every detail but instead of doubting them his heart sank more and more because it confirmed what he thought as false. His anguished eyes looked up to meet sameer's bloodshot eyes. Right now both of them wanted to punch something but there is a more important work to do now. Warn the team.

Arjun got the bomb away from the team and threw it through the window. he got back to untie the team when he suddenly felt dizzy. Everyone shouted "arjun sir.' but arjun just shook his head. Aisha then said "guys, what is that ticking sound?" arjun then saw a bomb behind them. he immediately got about untying them. aisha tried to wriggle her left hand free from the chains but is unable to do so. Aisha said " sir, the chains are too tight. You have to leave." Arjun then climbed up the pole using their hands as a step. He put his hand inside the pole and reached the bomb. Wrenching it from the tape that is holding it he removed it out. he went away from the team and defused the bomb. He said "its done." Everyone breathed a sign of relief. Sakshi then removed her hand slowly from the chains by wriggling it out. once she got her left hand free she started working on removing the chains around her. arjun came and helped her out. they both removed the chains around her and worked on removing the chains around aisha. After being free from the chains, aisha said "arjun sir are you okay." Arjun: aisha, I am fine. Lets work on getting the chains free and call the police. But as soon as arjun said this, he was hit by another wave of dizziness. Sakshi and aisha got him before he fell. Aisha: arjun sir, something must be causing this dizziness. You sit there. I will get chotu and liza free from the chains. Arjun tried to protest but sakshi took him away. She made him sit on the crate where arjun can also see whether the team is okay or not. Aisha immediately freed liza and chotu from the chains. They stood there for sometime rubbing circulation right into their frozen hands. Arjun held his head in his hands while sakshi looks on worriedly. Sakshi: arjun, did you have something to cause this? arjun: just water. Something must be mixed in the water to cause this. I should have noticed that something is wrong. Sakshi: arjun its okay. The main point is we all are fine and alive. We will catch that person who did this. liza, aisha and chotu came. Liza checked arjun and said "sir you are drugged. but we have to go back to the lab and check." Arjun looks at them with pride. Even though they had just escaped an attempt on their life still they are doing their duty instead of getting scared. Arjun realizes that they are shaken with this attempt. It shows that maybe this case is more than it seems. Someone set a trap for them. arjun gets up and says "we have to get out of here. Aisha call the control room and post plain-clothes policemen around this area. Chotu, liza go to the cold room and check whether the organs are there but be careful. There might be more traps. Come back here within 5 minutes." Everyone went about. They are shaken with this attempt but they know that now this case has become personal for Arjun sir. and when it becomes personal then there is no hope for the criminal to escape.

Sakshi looks on. Arjun starts evaluating in his mind where, how and when it started. He could'nt connect why a minister would be interested in a stolen cars case? Why would they hand it over to the ETF? how does karan connect to all of this? unless this case is a trap for the ETF from the start. Someone wanted the ETF to not survive this. that means they are still in danger. They have to get out of here. Sakshi looks at the message in her mobile and her whole demeanor changes. Her eyes take on a glint which told her intention.

Aisha went outside and called the police. She checks around the warehouse to see if there are any more bombs. Aisha starts evaluating the case. It was not as simple as it had looked. The attempt on their life proved that. The attempt. For 10 minutes aisha had felt that it would be the end of her life. And at that moment only one face came in her mind. She has never felt any regret for the choices she made but at moment she had regretted. She regretted for not realizing it sooner. She regretted for not getting a chance to tell him what she felt. But now. She thanks god. she got a second chance. And she will make full use of it. after making sure that there are no more booby traps she is going to go back to arjun sir when she gets a call on the cell. They had searched them before they had tied them up but they missed the second phone aisha had hid at a clutch around her ankle. She took the cell and seeing the name she smiles. The one person she loves and is ever going to love. Rathore sir. she picks the call. Within seconds her expression changes. She drops the cell and runs to the warehouse.

Arjun: sakshi, lets get out of here. He turns to see a sudden flash of a knife. Sakshi plunges the knife into his stomach. He looks at her stunned. But her demeanour is changed. Gone is the girl with a sweet smile. In front of him he saw a girl with a crooked smile watching amused as she plunges the knife again into his stomach. Sakshi said "tch, tch acp arjun rawte. I know this is not what you expected. But well sikander always loves to surprise you." hearing the name of sikander a sudden energy courses through arjun and he holds her neck tightly. But he felt a weakness creeping through him. his legs gave way. Sakshi caught him plunging the knife again into his stomach. Sakshi loosened his hand from her neck but not before arjun scratched it. she smiled saying "sorry arjun. You only told that we should do our job first. So I am just doing my job. Hope you don't mind. Loved all the moments I spent with you. sikander gives his regards." She got up to leave but arjun caught hold of her hand. She took out her gun and pointed it at arjun. Arjun smiles seeing the gun. He said "tell sikander that I am not going to die. I am coming to get him. and when I come he and you will suffer till you both beg for death." Sakshi smirked and fired.

Everyone stilled hearing the shot. Aisha got liza and chotu out of the room which had been locked till that time. They ran but stopped seeing a pool of blood around arjun with no sign of life in him. chotu shouted "ARJUN SIR." Arjun whispers "roshni."
