I don't think love story/interest is necessary in Arjun.

But they showed show a female lead equal to Arjun.

Note: Equal in intelligence n all NOT necessarily love interest

CVs are showing Girl dumb n I don't want that at all

Yes its important
coming to our show, arjun needs someone to overcome the trauma he has gone through and for that female lead is necessary.

we can just wait and watch what happens next

Hey.

Before I give my opinion, I would just like to say that your topic is great. It is definitely evocative and thought-provoking.

Coming back to the topic at hand, I think love is not necessary for a show. I mean, there are shows like Dexter, Sherlock, Prison Break etc. etc. which have portrayed minimal romance on screen and yet have won many hearts with their story line.

But (yes, there is a but 😆), let's face it, we all are big romanticists. Human relations, their feelings, their emotions, make for one good watch. And 'love' or 'romance' is the epitome of romanticism. It also works well especially in the case of Indians because we crave the notion of love. (As is evident from the numerous Bollywood movies.)

Remember, 'Titanic'? Of course, because we remember an epic love story.

Now, about Arjun. While it's a thriller, and 'romance' is not really needed, yet, it should be shown.

See, Arjun's character is broken, haunted, catatonic, so the only way to salvage him is through love. He has lost the love of his life, so it is only fair that he gets that love back.

If they hadn't introduced romance from the beginning then it wouldn't have been necessary. But first they introduced Riya which got our hopes up for the romance, then she was killed leaving us quite shocked and depressed. After that they introduced Ayesha and we had people thinking it was all about Ayesha and Arjun, that theory was shot down when it became evident that it was romance between Sameer and Ayesha. Then came our beautiful Saakshi who held the whole potential for Arjun's love interest and now she's also leaving.

The whole point is that if they hadn't introduced romance in the first place, the audience wouldn't have gotten their hopes up for any romance in the show. Know what I mean?

True I always why so much importance is gven only to romance fine it's feels good for sometime bt if becomes the only point to watch a show that's very wrong

Dear I love FF stories in AF...
I love all the writers immensely. .
And I respect them from bottom of my heart...
Thanks for all Arjun stories where love was an inseparable experience. .
But in the show Arjun I really dont believe that romance or love can be shown convincingly..
Ok..5 mins scenes are ok...
But I want the show to concentrate more on thrill quotient. ..
Personal opinion. .
But as this is a series, I definitely want a character map to be built up of Arjun Suryakant Rawte..
I will love to see him falling in love..
I want to see him laughing wholeheartedly..
I want to see him reliving this life with his new love...

Hi Shivani...thnx for raising some crucial questions.

Story can be scripted in manner where Arjun moves towards normal life with help from family, friends or colleagues he is close to. But most of the characters have left the show...so they either need some strong new characters or lady love in his life. Sakshi @Mrunal is now leaving the show and given previous episodes i doubt CVs will do anything gud or sensible.

they had lot of options but have chosen to let the ship sink and watch it from distance...i hope they wake up on time.
