Friends... i know everybody is waiting for the main shadi... and this part is ased on inputs from NainSM and Aisha Vashishth 😊 . So without wasting time... here is the shadi

Part 28 A

12:00 AM

Everybody had the dinner. The guests had left and only close friends and relatives were present at the venue. Pandit ji had given them the mahurat of 2:00 AM.
Suman told everyone to take rest for some time.

9th July - Early morning - Rajput rituals wedding

2:00 AM

Wedding altar was ready in a the garden and the entrance of the place was beautifully decorated with flowers and "Toran" (floral decoration hanged just above the entrance).

Anushree did the aarti to Sameer after which Sameer hit the Toran with a sword before he entered the venue. He was taken to the altar.

Aaye ho meri zindagi mein tum bahaar banke
Mere dil mein yun hi rehna
Haaye..Mere dil mein yun hi rehna tum pyar pyar banke
Aaye ho meri zindagi mein tum bahaar banke

Annu also came dressed in traditional Maroon Lehenga with beautiful hangings on the chunri which covered her face.

They exchanged the garlands. Sameer was a bit disappointed that now Annu's face was hidden behind the ghunghat.

Mona did their "Gathbandhan" by tying Annu's Chunri with a pink dupatta placed on Sameer's shoulder and Annu adjusted her Ghunghat.

Amongst the chanting of holy mantras they did the seven pheras around the Havan-kund.

Mere saathi mere sajan, mere saath yun hi chalna
Badalega rang zamana, par tum nahi badalna

Pandit ji told Sameer to put sindoor in Annu's hair partition and while doing this he bare got a glimpse of her lips as Suman was holding Annu's ghunghat.

Meri mang yun hi bharna, taare hazaar ban ke
Mere dil mein yun hi rahna, tum pyar pyar ban ke

Pandit ji gave him the mangal sutra to tie around Annu's neck and he followed.

Mr and Mrs Sen perform her Kanyadaan ritual by formally placing Annu's hand in Sameer's palm.

Agar main jo rooth jaoon, to tum mujhe manana
Thama hai haath mera, phir umr bhar nibhana
Mujhe chod ke na jana, wade hazaar kar ke
Mere dil mein yun hi rahna tum pyar pyar ban ke

After all the rituals Panditji blessed the couple and asked them to take the blessings of all the elders.

All the elders blessed the couple. Riya came forward, lifted Annu's ghunghat to pull her cheeks and hugged her.

A little while back. Just before stepping on the wedding altar Sameer removed his shoes. Riya, Shree and Navika had plans to steal them. Shree got Chhotu busy in some silly talks and Navika distracted Mona by reminding her that they have to shower flower petal on Sameer and Annu while they exchanged the garlands and that later Mona had to to the gathbandhan.

Taking the chance, Riya picked up Sameer's shoes and hid them in a flower basket and made sure no one noticed her while doing this.

But...still there was someone who saw where she hid the shoes. Of course, its impossible to fool Arjun Suryakant Rawte. Later when everybody was busy watching the wedding rituals, Arjun quietly picked up the shoes and kept them somewhere else.

It was almost 5 AM now.

Pandit ji gave the mahurat for Bidaai at 6 AM.

Near wedding altar Sameer was told to wait in the garden and Annu was sent to her room. Sameer was a bit restless when he saw Annu leaving for her room.

Arjun(teasing Sameer): Bas Sam... thodi der aur... fir formally teri dor Annu bhabhi ke haath mein hogi... taiyar rehna...

Sam blushed.

Arjun: waise tere jootey kahan hain?

Sam: yahin honge...(started looking where he left them but he couldn't find them)

Arjun: nahi hain waha... tune socha bhi kaise ki teri saali k hotey huye tujhe tere jootey wahin milenge jaha tune chhode they...

Mona was shocked. She planned to avoid this situation by keeping a watch on Riya but she failed.

Sameer remembers in Arjun-Roshni's wedding Mona had stolen Arjun's shoes and got a good amount as "Neg" in return of giving them back.

Mona: Ohhh Nooo!!!! sorry Bhai... mai apke jootey nahi bacha payi...

Riya: Ab to jootey humare haath lag hi gaye hain... to aise hi to wapas nahi mil jayenge... kuch to keemat chukani padegi...

Sameer(smiles): kya demand hai humari saali sahiba ki?

Riya: pehle committment dijiye ki humari demand poori hogi... tabhi hum demand batayenge...

Sameer is about to say something when Arjun cuts him short.

Arjun: koi bhi committment karne se pehle hum jootey dekhna chahenge... humein bhi to yakeen ho ki jootey bilkul theek haak hain...aapne unmein koi chhed-chhaad nahi ki hai...

Riya: theek hai...

Riya goes to check the basket. She is shocked to see that the shoes were missing now. She checks other basket and searches frantically for shoes.

Arjun: Lo Sam... tumhari saali, jo ek ETF member bhi hai, usko sirf jootey churana aata hai... unhe sambhalna nahi... uski naak k neeche se koi jootey udaa le gaya aur usko pata bhi nahi chala...

Riya glares at Arjun and he smirks. Its doesnt take much time for Riya to guess that its done by Arjun.

Arjun: ab jab Riya k paas jootey hi nahi hain... to tumhe uski koi demand poori karne ki koi zarurat nahi hai Sam!

Mona and Chhotu join Arjun in teasing Riya.

Riya is tense but doesn't lose hope.

She remembers that when wedding rituals were going on, she had seen Arjun going upstairs towards bride's room. She decides to check there because by now she was used to Arjun's way of working. He would have hidden it in the bride's room where no one would think of searching for them. But then Arjun did underestimate Riya. After all he had trained her.

Riya flashes her dimpled smile.

Riya: aur agar mai ye kahoon ki mai jootey laa sakti hoon... to?

Arjun(shrugs): koshish kar lo ...

Riya goes towards Annu's room. Arjun is a bit worried when he sees her going there. He follows her.

Riya searches in the room and finds the shoes on the top most shelf of the cupboard hidden behind a gift wrapper paper and is happy.

Annu is confused to see Riya messing up the room but understands everything when she sees Sameer's shoes in her hands.

Annu: Chinki... dekh ye jootey chup chap jiju ko wapas kar dena... unko tang mat karna...

Riya: ahannn Di... badi jaldi hai apne sasural jane ki... jao... nahi dungi jootey...

Arjun: Jootey to wapas dene hi padenge...

When she turns and sees Arjun right in the door.

Riya flashes a victorious smile.

Riya: Sir... aapko apni hi trainee ko underestimate nahi karna chahiye tha... aapke saath itne dino se kaam kar rahi hoon...itna to andaza laga sakti hoon ki aap jootey aisi jagah chhuppayenge jaha koi dhundhne ki sochega bhi nahi... par maine aap se hi to ye sab tricks seekhi hain..

Arjun: Really (starts walking toards Riya intending to snatch the shoes from her)

Riya is a bit scared but still she manages to give him a slip and run outside.

Annu was worried to see this.

Everyone outside was confused about where did Arjun and Riya disappear. All of them were shocked when they saw what followed after a few minutes.

Riya came out running with Sameer's shoes and Arjun was following her. They were runing around in the garden around the wedding altar.Everybody was amused at this funny chasing game.

While looking back at Arjun, Riya didnt notice there was a flower basket in front and she tripped on it and fell down. And it was too late for Arjun too to notice what happened. He too tripped on the same basket and fell on Riya, just when she turned to face him and was trying to get up.

Both were in a state of shock for a few seconds and their eyes were locked. But Riya snapped out and tried to get up when Arjun locked her holding her arms and she was wriggling to get out of his hold.

All were chuckling at this funny fight between them. But when both of them were not giving up, Suman had to intervene.

Suman: Arjun... Riya... ho gaya tum dono ka mazaak? ab der ho rahi hai... Arjun... chhodo usey...

Arjun left her and they got up brushing teir clothes. Arjun again tried to snatch the shoes but Riya was alert and she dodged him again.

Suman: Aye... Arjun... usne jootey dhundh liye na... ab uski maang poori honi hi chahiye... ye to saali ka haq hota hai...

Arjun frowns and Riya smirks.

Riya goes to Sameer with shoes. And Arjun goes and sits next to Sameer.

Riya: ye rahey jootey... ab to committment milegi?

Sameer(takes a deep breath): ok... commited... tumhari har demand poori hogi... waise bhi tum deserve karti ho ... bolo kya chahiye?(smiles)

Riya(thinking): ummm... waise maine ye to socha hi nahi ki mai demand kya rakhungi...

Sameer(confused): Kya?

Everybody bursts into laughter.

Riya(goes close to Sameer keeps his shoes near his feet and sits there): haan... actually jo mujhe chahiye tha jiju se... wo to mil hi gaya... (gets emotional) meri di ki khushiyan... unki muskurahat... aur kya chahiye mujhe apne jiju se... aur mujhe unpar poora bharosa hai... wo meri di ko har wo khushi denge jo wo deserve karti hain... (she in tears)

Sameer gets emotional and pats her hair.

Sameer: mai promise karta hoon ki tumhara ye bharosa kabhi nahi tootne dunga...

Riya blinks her eyes and gestures him to wear his shoes and he wears them.

Arjun is touched to see the emotional side of Riya and looks at her with affection.

Suman: Kya Riya beti!.. itne saste mein chhod diya apne jiju ko... aur itni asaani se jootey wapas kar diye... aur wo bhi tab jab un jooto ko bachane ki liye tumne itni mehnat ki (completing this she looks at Arjun)

Riya follows her gaze and finds Arjun looking at her. Their eyes meet and Arjun snaps out and lowers his eyes. But Riya was quick to notice the hint of affection in his eyes, but she qucikly changes the topic to not embarrass Arjun.

Riya: koi baat nahi aunty... agar ye zaroori hai to fir ye udhar raha... jab mujhe kuch chahiye hoga... mai maang lungi... (looks at Sameer) is it ok Jiju?

Sameer: Done...

Suman, Savita and Mona went to their home and started preparing for welcoming the new bride.

Annu stepped out of the marriage hall with mixed feelings. She remembered the home where she spent her childhood, the old days, her parents. Her eyes were searching for Riya. She noticed that Riya was missing.

Riya was happy for her sister but at the same time all the memories of their childhood made her emotional. She was in tears and didn't want Annu to watch her like that.
Shree forcefully brought Riya to Annu. Both the the sisters hugged each other and burst into crying remembering their old days. They parted the hug after a few seconds when Sameer came and patted Riya's head assuring her that he will take care of Annu and gave Annu an assuring glance that she need not worry about Riya.

The band again started playing and Sameer's relatives who came back for Vidaai ceremony started dancing again with Arjun, Chhotu, DSR, Shree and Navika joined them and pulled Riya also.

Sameer was again made to sit on the "Ghodi" and there was a beautifully decorated "Doli" ready for Annu.

The baraat reached Sameer's house. Sameer and Annu were welcomed by Suman with Arti and tilak.

A small "kalash" filled with rice was placed right in the middle of the door. Annu hit it with a right foot spreading the rice inside the house which is a symbol of prosperity brought in with the new bride. She dipped her feet into a vessel filled with "Alta" (red liquid used for decorating feet).

With that she stepped into a new life, her new home with the red foot prints symbolizing the entry of Lakshmi in her new home.

As she entered, she saw 7 plates were kept in line, each one containing a supari, a coin, a date, an almond, some rice, some wheat and some kum-kum. She was confused what was to be done with that. An elderly lady explained to her that a bride's nature and the understanding between the new bride and groom is tested with this funny ritual.

Sameer would be pulling those plates in her way with the sword and she has to pick them one by one stacking them up without making any sound of plates hitting each other and save them from falling down.

Sameer slowly draws the plates to her making sure that the smallest plate would come on the top so that it is easier for her to balance them and she successfully completes the ritual carefully picking up the plates even with her face covered in the veil. Everybody praises the the couple.

While the caterer served tea and breakfast to everyone, Sameer and Annu are told to freshen up. Following was Annu's "Muh-Dikhayi" ritual.

Annu is made to sit on a chowki with her face covered with ghunghat and all the relatives give her a token gift after seeing her face by lifting up her ghunghat.

9th July - Afternoon - Bengali rituals wedding

Sameer was feeling very funny wearing the off-white Dhoti Kurta and "Topor" on his head.

While pandit ji was chanting the mantras, Anushree and Riya made "Uloo-Dhwani" to ward off evil spirits when Annu was brought in on a chowki carried by Mr Sen and Mr Sharma. She was dressed in a beautiful Banarsi saree draped in Bengali style and she had got bengali style bridal make-up done. She had hidden her face behind two Betel leaves.

After her parikrama around Sameer was done, she removed the betel leaves and now Sameer got to see her face after 12 hours. it was literally a "Shubho - Drishti" for him.

In next 2 hours, other small rituals are also done, which were repetitions of Rajput wedding rituals, but still they didn't want anything to be left incomplete.

Sameer again filled her hair partition with sindoor in Sindoor daan ritual and Mr and Mrs Sen again do the pani dan ritual giving away Annu's hand to Sameer.

And they took seven steps towards their new life with saat pake ritual.

It was a new beginning. Two cultures came together and united to blossom into a beautiful relationship.

The wedding took place in both the ways,Rajputana wedding and a Bengali wedding...
It was a great treat to read when Sam and Annu got married in both the ways.

Joota chori rasam was beautifully written.
Sam-Riya and Riya-Annu emotional moments brought tears in my eyes... Arjun never underestimated Riya.
Those little Ariya moments were beautiful.
The whole Joota Chori Rasam reminded me of Hum Aapke Hai Kaun ki scene...
It was truly beautful.
Mr and Mrs. Sen did Annu's kanyadaan...
All the rasams from both the cultures were described really beautifully...
Finally,Annu entered the Rathod household with full respect and love.
Loved the whole update.

It was awesome... But I won't lie at one point after the Biddai.. I was expecting everyone to have left with Annu and Riya left behind in her house all alone crying remembering her sister and how one she is left all alone and them arjun enters... But never mind ur update was also fantastic... Precap is so funny... Thanks for the pm x
