Tonight was her favorite movie nights and there was no way in heaven she was letting him ruin it.
Even though he was very distracting..showering her with butterfly kisses when she least expected.
And God dammit, she was so tempted to give in but no Saakshi - she reminded herself, tonight was dedicated to the beast.
As in the beauty and the beast - the Disney movie.
So she grabbed the popcorn bowl and scotched over the other side of the couch.. Creating a little space between her and Arjun.
She showed her tongue when he made a face at their distance and then finally started watching the movie after of course, groaning.
Saakshi rolled her eyes at him and held out her hand. He raised a brow, so she shrugged and held his hand.
A sulking Rawte is too much to handle.
Arjun beamed and tugged at their entwined hands.. Bringing her straight to his arm length.
"Behave! I'm trying to watch a movie here." She warned as he stole a quick kiss.
"Par tumhara hero toh bagal mein betha. Hai.. Usise romance karlo." He suggested, tickling her. Saakshi squealed and elbowed him hard on his chest.
"Aargh.." He winced. "Where did you learn that from?"
"From my khadoos husband of course!" She chuckled. "He's got skills."
"I heard he has a reputation for bed skills." He winked, making her blush. "Wanna show me some?"
She poked him with the remote and finally started the movie.
Frankly, he wasn't even watching the movie ,at first. He was too busy gazing at his wife. Amused by the emotions playing on her face from watching a G rated Disney movie.
She hummed the song belle was singing and clearly let out a sigh when the beast and Belle meet.
While he tried to re memorize the lines of her face and the way her lips twitched upwards when she looked at him momentarily before letting out a smile.
At some point, Confused by her sudden blush that too watching a kid movie, Arjun decided to follow the movie.
Of course!
Saakshi came into his life right running through his front door.
And his life was never the same.
Saakshi, a novice and newbie journalist had stumbled upon some serious crime stuff. Before the guys could catch her, she ran and took the stairs of a residential building until she saw one of the apartment door ajar. She ran in and locked it before the owner could make a move.
When she finally turned to face the owner and say thank you or sorry, she was left wordless.
And the ever loquacious Saakshi wasn't the same again.
He was rude and one angry young man, scaring the daylight outta her but in the end, he didn't even blink once before protecting her with his life.
She wasn't the Prince Charming she was looking for but he was more than that. Yes in the beginning he was ever egoistic, khadoos and a "beast" but once she saw through the mask he'd worn to cover his sadness, she fell in love with him a little more.
He was a beast.. But her own personalized beast.
And she was his lifeline. Just when he thought he had nothing worth living for after his whole family died during a plane crash.. She walked in and set him straight.
She argued with him, defied him. Annoy him even.. But somehow, she managed to melt him down and make his hers.
The eyes which only saw sorrow his whole life started to dream for a future.. A future with her.
And he'd be damned if he didn't make her his sooner.
So after two months of their first meet, he put on his best suit and walked straight into her house. He was oh-so Nervous But as soon as she opened the door in her sleepy state he forgot his nervousness and kissed her hard and gentle at the same time and said, "marry me."
Mazal hai kisiki ki koi Arjun suryakant Rawte ko na bole?!?
Besides His kiss and good looks didn't help either.
And when the film ended, he realized how this was so similar to their own little lovestory.
Her love changed him.. Turned him from an angry beast to a love-sick beast.
She gave him a life and ray of hope.
She was his everything.. And he knew he was too for her.
Arjun lied back on the couch as Saakshi snuggled to his chest, sighing contently.
"So kya samjhe mr ACP? moral of the story toh bataiye" she murmured.
"Ki I'm your personalized beast?" Arjun chuckled.
Saakshi grinned and nodded, "sahi baat"
"don't you ever forget that.." She added, poking him lightly on his breastbone.
"Jee begum sahiba."
And he kissed her softly on the head, before falling into a deep and blissful somber.
Truly, every love story is a fairy tale.. It's upto you how you see it.
