Ola Amigos, remember me nah?? It's me Pari again to eat all your brains (Lolz, don't worry, mein veg hoon 😉)... Am still a bit reluctant to post this, you will understand what I mean when you (hopefully😆) start reading...
This attempt at an "OS" is not the "traditional" type of OS. You will understand what I mean when & if you start reading... Plus I won't be sending out PMs for this (get into that after the OS)... Happy reading! Pls do let me know of any mistakes...

Where is she? I told her to wait for me... If she left without me... "Sakshi, am right here and stop looking like a lost puppy." Added Aisha in a mocking tone...
"Aish, it's not funny and here this is what I want you to read." Upon seeing Aisha's quizzical and confused look, Sakshi added, "yes, it is about that case..."

A Woman's Right.
Shakti*. A 23 year old photojournalist by profession. Independent and Lively. Bound, Gagged, Assaulted. Mumbai.
Damini*. A 23 year-old physiotherapy student, a daughter, a girlfriend, with aspirations to eradicate her family's poverty and settle down. Violated, Assualted, in pain till her last breath. Delhi (RIP BRAVEHEART)
Kashmir, Delhi, Kerala, Maharashtra, Manipur, Orissa, Rajasthan, Utter Pradesh, Tamil Naidu are just some examples of where high profile cases have been witnessed. These are names of some of the most prominent and illustrious cities in India; if these assualts happen in such established and "progressive" places, about the small towns in India?
Is this what is called progression in our societies? Sexually Assaulting women who are forward-thinking, independent yet very much Indian in their values and morals.
Rapping a journalist who was just doing her job? I am a journalist myself, that unfortunate victim could have been me! Could have been you! Could have been your daughter... your sister... your granddaughter... your niece... your neighbour. The list this time, is unfortunately endless.
Have our streets become so precarious that one cannot walk on them without constantly having to fear for their safety? Have we completely lost our entitlement to freedom and security in our society today?
In troubling and traumatising times like these, instead of providing sympathy and support towards such unfortunate victims; what do we do? We judge their character! We judge their ethics! We bombard them with embarrassing and disturbing questions!
Instead of becoming a pillar of support and strength, we, as a society, break any pounce of strength and courage left in that physically and emotionally battered body...
Instead of fighting for justice and righteousness, some of us tend to shift the blame. Oh she was assaulted, well that is too bad, she should not have been wearing that or not been out too late at night!
Even though we do not want to believe this, but we are all too familiar that these types of politics . Some "intelligent" individual comes along and very easily shifts the blame to these innocent victims. Who are these "important" and "prudent" characters that judge my ethics by what I wear or who I go out with!
This kind of utter nonsense is what prevents the justice that should be rightfully given to this Brave Hearts. I am not saying that every Indian citizen is the same, yet there are quite a few who are too regressive and stubborn to comprehend and accept the bitter truth.
It is saddening and infuriating to see the culprits walk free from their doing. If they know they are going to acquitted of their crime, then they ARE going to commit this heinous crime again and again and again.
This is a sincere plea to all civilians, we NEED to deal with these kinds of horrific, brutal and animalistic acts strictly once and for all.
After all, a woman is not an object for a male to use and then quite literally throw away. A male should never showcase their physical dominance over a woman, this is just plain revolting and of foul taste.
We need more stricter and efficient laws, where any cases owed to assault are dealt with pure dedication and integrity. After all, I do not want to be looking behind my back every time I walk home from work. And am sure, that no one else wants to live in that the exact same fear either.
Fight against predators. Fight for us, our rights, our freedom, our safety.

"Sakshi, you do the consequence of this right?" before Sakshi could respond, Aisha knew the stubborn girl had already made up her mind.
"Actually, I already know you have sent it to the printing press and trust me when I say this, I am very proud of you. People have to know and fight for justice... Let's go, I'm starving and this time I want vada pau" winked Aisha in order to lighten the sombre mood.
"Woman must not accept; she must challenge. She must not be awed by that which has been built up around her; she must reverence that woman in her which struggles for expression." - Margaret Sanger
