Another complicated case. Another hectic day. Every day was the same for ETFians. Cases, dead bodies, suspects, clues, etc. it's pretty much difficult to get a grip on yourself after dealing with such stuffs every day. But still they laugh , they enjoy, they celebrate and they work each day as if it's their last .
It was one such day and as usual arjun was sitting in his cabin twirling his pen immersed in a file. Arjun was referring to the case file and wanted the phone records shree had accessed for him the previous day to cross check an info. The phone records were supposed to be in the file but it was missing. He checked the whole room and went to the conference room to look for it. That is when he remembered that he had taken the case file to his lodge previous night so that he could do something useful during his sleepless hours. The phone records might have fallen off somewhere in his room. " Damn, I really do need those phone records. Aur shree is off for some work. Ab lodge hi jaana hoga." He thought and walked out to the parking lot. He had to do the paper work of the latest case and needed the phone records for that. It was not urgent but he wanted something to do to keep his mind occupied. And also wanted to reduce the number of hours he had to spend at the lodge. So he thought he would get the record and bring it back to office so that he could complete it at office.
To his dismay, when he reached the parking lot he found everyone of the SUV's missing. He cursed his fate and turned around and that is when he heard the familiar sound of bangles. " choodiyon ke dukan ab tak ghar nahi gayi? Would have had some work to do." He thought.
Sakshi saw arjun standing at the parking lot looking for a trace of any vehicle. But ETF SUV's were out for duty she knew. She saw him looking at her curiously and asked with a smile " kahi jaana tha, sab vehicles on duty hain. Ek main aish aur sameer gaye hain kisi informer se milne. Other suv shree chottu aur liza le gaye . they were asked to report at some place for collecting some evidence."
"I just needed to get to my lodge. Kuch imp files vaha bhool aaya." He said as he looked around thinking of what to do. That is when his eyes fell on sakshi , sitting on her scooty with an amused expression on her face. "main tumhe drop karta hoon, arjun. Main ghar jaa rahi hoom. I hope tumhe scooty mein baithne mein koyi problem nahi hain?"
Arjun cut her short and replied "nahi sakshi, main koyi taxi le loonga. Tumhe bhi aaram karna hoga." He didn't have any problem in going with her but didn't want to trouble her since it was late night.
"arjun, kehna maanlo. It's late. Aur aaj raat Mumbai mein sab taxies are on strike. Kal newspaper main tha. So I'll drop you." She continued with her naughty smile " aur tum ghabraavo mat, main tumhe kuch nahi karoongi. I'm decent. You can trust me."
That brought a smile on his face, but thanks to his position sakshi couldn't see his face clearly due to the shadows. He replied not leaving the formal tone, "ok, toh phir main scooty chalata hoom." . he came forward extending his hands but sakshi nodded her head in a big no. Arjun just raised his eyebrows and sakshi replied to his questioning look, "nahi arjun, this bike ride is something that keeps me alive after such draining days. Tum voh mujhse cheen nahi sakthe." She replied giving some dramatic expressions. " don't worry I'm a safe driver."
Arjun just rolled his eyes seeing her nautanki but he did not feel irritated seeing them and that surprised him. "when have I started liking her nautanki. Itne din ho gaye saat kaam karte hue,might have got used to it." He thought letting out a sigh. He knew there was no point in arguing with her and also didn't want to take away her source of relaxation. Being someone who loved travelling, he very well knew how it felt when the wind strikes your face when you are on a bike. It's the most refreshing and relaxing feeling. And if sakshi needs it then he wouldn't want to ruin it for her. He got on to the back of her scooty without any other argument.
Yes, Arjun Rawte has agreed to Sakshi anand without any protests. It was not a surprise for her though because now a day he has started considering her as a team member. He might have got used to her and her ways and now he understood the way she worked. Her smiles and masti never affected her work. She was dedicated to her work as much as he is. Her smiles just made her works look easy. That is all and arjun understood that and started respecting her more. A warm friendship was developing between them.
Sakshi started the scooty and they got into the road that led to his lodge. The road was deserted since it was very late at night. The feel of the wind was just awesome and she would do anything to get that feel. She just looked at the rearview mirror and saw arjun lost in some thoughts and he had a frown on his face. She never liked frowns on anyone's face and she had always felt it was her duty to remove it once she sees a frown.
She brought the scooty to stop slowly and turned around to a confused arjun.
Sakshi: "don't worry. Main tumhe rape karne vali nahi hoon. So chill."
Arjun just rolled his eyes and looked at her curiously.
Sakshi: " vo kya hain na, mere scooty main baithne ka kuch rules hain. If my scooty has to run, usme baithne vale should enjoy the ride. Aur tum toh aise baithe ho jaise maine tumhe koyi saza diya ho"
Arjun : "tumhaari sath baithna koyi saza se kam hain kya?"
Sakshi : "point to hain. But meri scooty ke khatir, try enjoying the ride. Varna I'll leave you here. No taxies, no vehicles, aur office kuch zyada door hain."
He knew she was right and also knew her stubbornness. If she has told that she would leave him here, she would actually do that. So he replied ," ok I'll try. Aur koyi option nahi hain na."
Sakshi just gave him her smile and started the scooty. She drived slowly enjoying tha breeze.
Sakshi's words had an impact on arjun as well. he too loved bike rides. And slowly as the breeze hit his face he felt relaxed and a smile formed on his face.
Sakshi: "just close your eyes and enjoy the breeze arjun. And feel how it takes away all your pain."
Arjun heard her speaking but he couldn't hear clearly because of the breeze. He leaned forward and brought his face on to her shoulders to hear her clearly. Sakshi saw him leaning in through the mirror and their eyes met for a moment. They looked perfect together. Sakshi repeated what she said and saw arjun giving a smile. Yes a smile, not a smirk. He leaned back and pondered over her words. " why not give it a try. What if the wind does blow away all his pains" he thought and closed his eyes.
It was a bliss. It was as if everything around him came down to that moment. With his eyes closed, he didn't care about what was going around him then. It was just a beautiful moment with the breeze blowing away all his bad memories atleast for a moment. He lifted his hands sideways involuntarily, and leaned back letting the strong wind hit him. The wind was getting stronger and he was defending it. He felt strong all of a sudden.

Sakshi was watching arjun through the rearview mirror. She felt happy seeing arjun enjoying the ride. The guy needed a break and she was happy that she could provide him the much needed break. She drove carefully avoiding humps and gutters so that the ride was smooth.
Arjun opened his eyes when he felt something on his face. It had started raining. It was a drizzle and he couldn't have asked for more. A bike ride in rain with the sea air ruffling your hair. Heavenly.
Sakshi: " arjun we'll reach soon. Ya phir barish rukne tak wait karna hain kya?"
Arjun just nodded his head indicating a no , the smile not leaving his face. "let me live this moment through" his eyes told her. She just shrugged her shoulders agreeing to him.
He ran his fingers through his hair and tried catching the rain drops. Sakshi smiled seeing this. He looked at the mirror and saw sakshi , with her trademark smile and a satisfied look. He knew that sakshi was happy because of his smile. She was the only one who can bring a smile on his face with her "ajeebo gareeb" ways. She was right, the wind and the rain sure had some magic. He felt light, as if someone has taken off his entire burden. He knew that all his pain will be back when the ride is over. But for now he didn't care. He had decided to live the moment that was in his hand. And that moment was so beautiful that he didn't want to let it go.
And it was all because of her. Sakshi Anand . The girl who knows only one thing ' how to lght up the world with her smile. Their eyes met and and there was a new sparkle in both of their eyes.
