I never expected such good response! I'm sooo happy right now! 😃
I would have listened to the song like a thousand times so that I'd be able to get the right feel and the right words at the correct lyric... and i was so worried, excited, i just donno... when i posted this update...
And now after reading all your comments I just forgot all of that...trust me! I'm so relieved!
I'm glad you liked my work. I once mentioned in the forum that I wanted to be writer/director and my interest had always been in Arts.
I know I have a lot to learn, but nothing's impossible right? 😉

CHAPTER 10 - Part 1

By the time Arjun and Riya reached their room Rathore was already waiting for them outside their door.

Riya nodded at Rathore greeting him and Rathore returned the greeting. Rathore was quite irritated.

Arjun opened the door and let Rathore inside, "Tho confirmation milgayi?"

"Haan Rawte, ye ek underworld organization ka kaam hain," he said, "Lekin unke maksat kya hain abhi tak pata nahin. Par Trivedi ko paise aaj hi dene ki call aa gayi hain."

"Sameera ka protection ka kya hua? Aur Trivedi kab jaa raha hain paise dene?" Arjun asked as he removed his overcoat. Riya wasted no time in taking her casuals out. She looked at Arjun and Rathore, indicating them to leave the room.

They looked at the clothes she was holding and then looked at each other.

"Sure, quick Riya," Rathore said. Arjun and Rathore then walked out of the room.

Riya changed into her casuals very quickly and asked them to come in. Rathore entered the room followed by Arjun.

Arjun then took his clothes and went into the washroom to change.

Riya then asked Rathore, "Sir, ho kya raha hain?"

Rathore gave Riya all the details of the case.

"Ye organization ki bahut badi base hain iss island mein! Jo abhi tak nahin mili hain. Uske do other bases locate kar chuke hain, jahaan hamein kuch fire-arms mile hain," Ratore said.

"Matlab woh couples'?"

"Haan Riya, shaayad unn couples ne aise hi kuch fire arms ko dekha ho ga jiski vajehse unki hatya kardi gayi!"

Arjun also joined them in the conversation.

"Backup aagayi hain?" he asked.

"Aagayi hain. Teen battalions mein split ho gaye hain aur search chaalu hain," Rathore said.

There was a knock on the door. Riya opened the door to find Chotu helping Shree into the room.

"Shree? Tum yahaan?" Riya was shocked to Shree there. He was still limping.

"Duty calls Riya. Duty is more important," he said as he settled down on the recliner, "Rishab ka phone trace ho gaya hain sir. Woh uss rocky shore ke aas paas hi hain."

"Trivedi bhi tho wahin jaane waala hain. Ek kaam karo Chotu, tum Shree ke saath yahin ruko. Sameera aur uske mangetar Alex ko bhi yahin bulwalete hain. Unki security ka intazaam yahin kardenge. Uss manager ko bhi bulalo," Rathore passed the orders.

Rathore got a call, "Haan bolo.. kya?"

He then looked at his team, "Guests ki gathering ho rahin hain neeche banquet hall mein."

"Rathore, vahaan security dugni karaado. Target woh log hain. Abhi bhi teen civilians missing hain. Kuch bhi ho sakta hain!" Arjun said.

"Sahi keh rahe ho Rawte," Rathore said and passed those orders.

"Sir, lekin Rishab ka phone ab switch on kyun hua hain?" Riya asked. She had learnt to ask the right questions.

Arjun and Rathore turned to look at her. "Sir! Uska phone wahin location mein hain. There's no movement," Shree added.

"Shaayad chup raha hain. Woh cave, perfect jagah hain chupne ke liye. Hamein wahaan immediately jaana hoga. Trivedi kahaan hain?" Arjun asked. "Apne kamre mein," Rathore answered.

"Let's go," Arjun said as he walked towards the door.

Arjun stopped at the door for a moment, "Riya tum theek ho?" he asked without turning back. Riya knew he was asking about her ankle, "I'm fine sir. Main chalungi." She quickly grabbed a water bottle and her pain killers. She took one right away.

"Kya hua hain Riya?" Rathore asked.

"Subah choti si chot lagi thi sir. Bas aur kuch nahin," Riya said putting the bottle away.

Rathore nodded and the trio, Rathore, Arjun and Riya left for Trivedi's room.

Meanwhile Sameera and Alex were brought to #502 and were given protection there. Chotu and Shri stayed along with them.

The manager was also present in Trivedi's room.

"ACP Rathore, ye ho kya rahan hain? Ye police officers! What's going on?" the manager asked worried.

"Ye prashn tho hamein poochna chahiye? Ye ho kya raha hain aapke resort mein?" Arjun asked in a firm tone.

Rathore and Riya helped Trivedi with money and other important details. The money packed in an air tight waterproof bag as instructed.

"Kya matlab hain aapka?" the manager asked. He was already sweating profusely even in an AC room.

"Ek fire arms ka base aapke resort mein kya kar raha hain? Aur woh bhi aapke nazron se bachkar?" Arjun asked.

"Mera yakeen kijiye, mujhe iske baare mein kuch nahin pata hain. Main tho yahaan naya hoon! Sirf ek hafta hua hain mere aaye huye," the manager pleaded them. Arjun was confused. It was true. Riya had told him about that.

"Aap se pehle kaun tha?" Rathore intervened.

"Sailesh Arora. Usne sudden resignation de diya tha," Riya said.

Arjun looked at Rathore, and Rathore nodded in reply. He called officers on the mainland and ordered them to take the ex-manager of the resort into custody. Notices were immediately sent to the owners of the resort too.

Trivedi was ready. "Aapki beti safe hain. Lekin jab tak hum ye paise nahin le jaate, humein ye nahin pata chalega ki ho kya raha hain," Rathore said.

Rathore walked out of the room with Trivedi and the manager, leaving Arjun and Riya alone in the room. Riya turned towards Arjun. He was about to say something when, "Tumhe koi invitation chahiye Rawte? Humare paas waqt bahut kam hain, chalo ab," Rathore said interrupting them.

Arjun clenched his jaw in anger and stormed past Rathore out of the room. Riya then exited followed by Rathore.

"Kuch tho choot raha hain," Arjun kept thinking.

"Rawte, woh criminals hamare yahaan rehte huye bhi itni himmat karke paise lane ke liye kahaan. Aur hamein le jaana bhi pad rahaa hain. Bahut kuch gadbad hain yahaan," Rathore said in very low voice. The trio was walking at a little distance away from the manager and Trivedi.

"You're right Rathore. Lagta hain ki woh log hamaare saath koi game khel rahe hain. Unke baare mein kuch bhi pata nahin hona hamara weakness hain. Aur woh log usi weakness ka faaida utha rahe hain. Mujhe tho lagta hain jo kuch bhi ho raha hain, unke plan ke hisaab se ho raha hain," Arjun said.

The trio reached down stairs to find the party in full swing. Somebody from the party had stopped Trivedi was asking as to where he was and they were waiting for him. They also inquired about the high security arrangements.

"I'll be back, definitely. There is a very important work I have to attend to.. Ye arrangements specially aap logon ke liye hain," Trivedi said and excused himself.

Arjun talked to the officer who was incharge of the security there. It was decide that the manager and the asst. manager would stay back at the party venue along with the police force.

A few officers were already waiting hidden near the rocky shore the place where Trivedi was going to leave the money. Trivedi went to the shore separately in his car and the trio followed him in another SUV.

They got down a little far away and hid themselves along with other officers.

The place was very dark except for the moon light. As instructed, Trivedi walked towards the wooden platform. He climbed onto it and walked to its extreme end. He looked around but could see nobody. Rathore, Arjun and Riya had their guns out and were ready for anything. Trivedi bent down and left the bag on the platform. He was about to turn back when a light fell on Trivedi's face. Trivedi froze right there, scared. Suddenly a man jumped out of the water, caught hold of Tivedi and jumped into the water along with him. Firing started as soon as the man came out but then they couldn't shoot him. Before anybody could comprehend what had happened, Trivedi was gone.

Arjun, Riya and Rathore ran onto the platform. Riya's ankle was hurting but she decided to ignore it. Arjun was the first to reach the spot and jumped into the water. "Rawte! Ruko!" Rathore's orders went unheard.

PRECAP: Riya is cornered with a gun pointed at her forehead. Arjun hiding behind a set of huge drums that were just a few feet behind Riya. His hand is bleeding. But why was Arjun hiding? Why wasn't he coming out and helping Riya? Then a gunshot is heard in the background. Arjun is shocked hearing the gun shot!
