Credit where it’s due

There, I said it. It’s worse than shows that are blatantly misogynistic and regressive, because those are in your face. There’s no pretence of being anything else, no manipulation. We’re regressive and we own it. Take it or leave it. Anupamaa is much more insidious because it’s made of the same material, but promotes the same social evils under the guise of feminism and women’s individuality. The glorification of orthodox thoughts and practices is thinly veiled, and the veil has only become thinner with time. Much like sweet talkers who eventually turn out to be the most vicious and dishonest human beings. We were sold a show with a refreshingly bold storyline and character progression, but what in the actual HELL is this shitshow we’re actually being served?! Coming to the positives, this is (unintentionally) platinum tier comedy 🤣every situation they depict is absurd and illogical, and the dialogues are straight out of the loony bin 😂the way Saathiya has become iconic and the funniest moments of the show have gone viral on Instagram, this too will achieve a similar cult status in due time. From the lead’s accent to the “problems” that crop up and the “solutions” found by the characters,it leaves me in splits every single time. Kanaji dhyaan rakhje aur suri aapko bura laga ho toh 🧿😂
