I mean in a way Anupama is the reflection of the current state of our society where talentless, good for nothing people have become celebrities and continue to garner sympathy and get second and third and fourth chances at careers and success. All the while the real talent struggles to gain the same foothold.

But seriously if the makers want to hold the baton of women empowerment, at least show a woman character worthy of that baton.

Anupama is neither disciplined nor determined nor ambitious nor willing to acquire any of these traits.

How many women out there are still struggling to make a place for themselves in our country? And this show that has this reach, this platform chooses to showcase that a woman always needs to either beg for favours or marry rich or take advantage of poor souls who show even a sliver of sympathy for her.

She will not make any efforts herself. She will not change her rigid views or improve in the areas she is lacking in. She will never attempt to learn something new. Instead she will beg, manipulate, emotionally blackmail her way into every venture and then leave it halfway.

It's beyond frustrating now, because people are still, still defending this useless woman. Not to mention all the wrong messaging (orphans deceive, woman can never leave her ex, etc etc) that it is passing on.

What a waste.
