Episode begins with Anuj firmly declaring that he will not discuss this issue any further . Anupama tries to speak but Anuj firmly says NO.
Anupama protests that he was right in his place but they have to hear out Guruma and her reasons , they had to know of Guruma was wrong n to what extent . Anuj states he was not interested .
Guruma is upset and looks guilty . Anupama pleads all must get a chance to speak before they arrive at any conclusion . All agree with Anu .
Anuj is unable to deny Anupama and only for her sake he allows Makti Devi one chance . He asks her to share her “majboori” that forced her to abandon her new born at the orphanage . Baa bad mouths Guruma . Babuji stops her .
Guruma with joined hands guiltily states there was no majboori, there was only ego, dreams, stubbornness, to make it big in life , ambition , madness. Vanraj urges her to speak the entire thing .
Malti debi narrates her entire life story .
How she was born in small poor family , she was affected by gender discrimination, tradition, married off at tender age , how she was stifled in her boring married life . She had the talent but she was never given any chances . When she got pregnant she had to give up one big chance . After she gave birth to her son she got another huge chance at foreign location, she chose her career rather than her motherhood . She left him at Mumbai orphanage and flew off to US .
Anuj apologises for the gender discrimination and oppression she suffered , He shares how he encouraged n supported Anu. Every woman had the right to follow her dreams, and for every dream one had to make certain sacrifices and pay the price , and that applied to anybody who was ambitious . But this did not mean they had to abandon their kids ? He gives example of Rani Laxmi bai who battled with her child tied to her back , while MD only had to go onstage ! Yet she abandoned her child and made Anuj suffer the sacrifices and live at Orphanage . Anuj shares the pain of loneliness and his endless wait, yearning for his parents. She never returned to check on her child even once , Even Maaya returned to her child the moment she was in a stage to take care of her child . This way all working women would abandon their children ! There were innumerable women in all fields of life who work n also take care of family n kids. It is tough but all do it , but Guruma never tried to do it !
Guruma agrees she was wrong in abandoning her child n never trying to meet him. Anupama agrees Guruma was wrong in abandoning her child .
Anuj states that Malti Devi had refused to become his mother , today he will not allow Malti Devi to become his mother . He asks her to go away ,
He warns Anupama that if she wanted to keep her Guruma in this house , Anuj will not live here . All are shocked but agree with Anuj .Guruma weeps . CA comes n hugs her papa , they share a loving bond . She tells him it was OK to cry , she supports her papa, she shares how she used to be angry with her Maaya maa ,
Anuj goes off to his room n vents out his pent up frustrations . He then breaks down .
Baa and Barkha lash out at Malti Devi and also Romil’s mother . Where was her love n affection all these years ? Why has she come now declaring her claim to motherhood ?
Vanraj and everyone else support Anuj. Kavya sympathises with Anupama.
