Accha okay, seriously.... I think it was the complete package. Him insisting it was a date, Anu selfie, the tum-tum banter, just chilling with her, and then hug would've been the biggest deal. I think he realised how she held onto him even after, and it's like slowly blowing his mind, like he was close enough to smell her (don't laugh at me, that's a thing)

The day was obviously special coz Anu asked him out.

The hug was not at all romantic. The hug is all about holding your dear life, it is out of fear. Anu is feared of loosing Anuj what if Anuj would fall of cliff. He become her part. She held firmly and for Anuj it is sudden and enduring.

After hug if you noticed he noticed how petrified she became of loosing him. Then his words of assurance.
