Why is that lady her “mom”? We should stop glorifying in-laws like this! Nobody can take your parents’ place. The moment she kicked her husband to the curb, she should have done the same to her in-laws. Maintaining a cordial relationship is fine, but accepting this controlling behaviour is nuts. I guess she needed that wake up call from Devika!

That lady not just discredited her mother , father and brother who were supportive for her dance and education but also giving way more importance to regressive baa even after her baa’s regressive behaviour/nature. Conveniently biased attitude!

These kind of peeps set weird standards of hypocrisy. Being civil and respectful is ok but not calling out regressive behaviour is sad.

I understand what you are saying. Actually my grandmother also behaves like this. Usually she is so rude and negative but when she needs something she become so loving that I used to feel like she is indeed a good person. It's only now that I realized her toxicity.

I think Anupama is going through same things.

Hi BTW I'm a silent reader of this forum and I love to read all your comments and discussions.

Anupama can very well consider baa as her mother if baa had treated her like a daughter ever... But baa is not even a good saas ,let alone be a mother to Anupama... Baa toh is just another torturous MIL and nothing else.
