Here is our entry for script writing. Tamil lounge is the embodiment
of friendship. All can laugh at jokes and at themselves!!! So, we
started a thread for Comedy some time back and are proud to say
that we crossed over 340 pages in an year. These pages provide
non-stop laughter and inspired by the reaction new writers are coming
up to entertain our members. The original contributors are Atina, Roja,
Patraj and Giriadimai. Roja and Giri labeled themselves as the devil duo and go about their pranks together. This was one such article in CK pages – we submit it here with a few modifications as our entry. We hope that this meets with norms of the script writing competition. With kind regards,Tamil Section.

Part 1
IF Tamil Serials' Fans' Lounge.
Lounge is teeming with members – all are present. It is one of those busy days – August /September/ October in IF lounge is all about festivals/celebrations. Atina's star interview , Rhodes' Baby Shower, Bridal Shower for Fluidd on River Seine and now it is Awards Night . Decorations are over and now the IF ians are relaxing –the function starts only at 7pm.
Atina is still in a state of shock – GSLV F 04 sent some snaps from the galaxy(Giri made sure to accomplish her mission!!) – Abi's smirk and RK's suspenders (Aanandam) were caught - ISRO sent detectives to the lounge and Atina had to answer a load of probing questions – the mere mention of "interview" makes Atina shiver –
Roja has asked her to chair the Awards Night function – Atina can never say no to Roja – she does have a soft corner for Roja in spite of her constant clowning around " no practical jokes, no foul language, no intimidations, no bodily injuries, no hysterical laughs …. in short , none of your usual tricks, ok?" – Roja performed a lamb act just short of bleating " mmhee mmhee" !!! Giri pushed Roja's head in all directions and confused Atina further - " what does this mean? yes or no???"
Pat looks happy – she sent a May Day cry to the devil duo and they made sure to cheer her up. The puppet show was a great success and Pat had the honor of lighting the first heap of crackers for Diwali. She is all set to continue her mission of updating Kasthuri. Now duck (Kasthuri, who else??) is learning the alphabets – might take a while to reach the letter Q – that is when she will "quack quack" in English - Pat is happy - " some thing is better than nothing!!"
Rhodes had a tough time convincing hubby – he was not thrilled with her idea of attending the function – " Oh no, facing that crazy duo is nerve wrecking!!! What if they do some thing to you??? I just have one wife …." He attended the baby shower and ended up having a
life sized doll on his lap – boy, the doll kicked and sent shivers through his spine - thinking about it makes him shudder !!! Rhodes shed a few crocodile tears and the age old trick did work!!!
Jas, Ho, Sue and Kavi are deep in discussion – Kavi is reclining in her easy chair – with traction.
Jas: Why is Roj so keen about awards?? What awards and who are all getting it??
Ho: Jas did u notice some thing? Roja is holding on to her handbag as if it houses her life!! You need no magic mirror to locate her life – snatch the bag and booooom she goes!!!
Sue: You are right Ho, even her twin has no access to that bag!!!
Giri has been looking at it for a while now – longing looks – and Roja ignores???!!!
Vani is holding on to Eljay – She is still not out of her shopping spree experience. She was asked to keep an eye on Roja but ended up begging Roja to take her back to the lounge!!! She was taken in to by lanes and dead end roads - she never knew that such places existed!!! Her hands are shaking still – she soiled a few of her skirts by spilling coffee – right now she is off beverages!!!
Eljay is lost in thoughts as well – she has been trying hard to find
some kind of logic in Tamil serials– alas, she is still searching!!
What irks her most is the way Meli and Roja pounce on her when
she mentions the word "logic" – recently, a character in Aanandam
serial asked about the missing logic making Eljay happy – "well,
looks like I am not alone…"

Niti had a gruesome week at work. She was unable to reach home
on time to watch Kolangal. Fellow sufferers like Preethi and Roja
updated taking turns. It was a great relief – after a hard day at work,
watching this serial can make any one go insane!!! Niti's little
boy had momma all to himself – Mr.Niti heaved a sigh of relief –
wish she just stays this way, hmmm"
Riya is getting better by the day – Megala is her baby –
She has some regulars applauding her efforts and giving
moral support – She is not in Niti's shoes – not yet –
she is hopeful that this serial will not drive her up the wall –
Well, she is still young and dreamy - serial world will soon
prove her wrong – enjoy till then!!!
Supree and Caryn are baking a giant sized cake – Jr. Supree
was grounded – " no cooking, no IF lounge and no bad company,
Ok?" Jr. S knew that this was coming ( she played a major part in
the baby shower helping the devil duo, after all!!) – she did some sleep talking - " Roja aunty, Giri aunty, pls come and bail me out.
Mom grounded me and I want to come to IF lounge vu vu vu vu"
Supree got scared and brought her over – Jr.S ran to Roja and
whispered " aunty, your trick did work, mom heard my blabbering and brought me over" – thank God, Supree did not hear that!!! So right now Jr.S is going behind Giri – Giri loves baby girls – benevolently adorned Jr's ears with a jasmine garland and taking her along!!!
Pokkiri is following Roja closely – he self appointed himself as Roja's hench man. Tamil is staring at him and needling him at regular intervals - " If you are Roja's henchman , I am her right hand" both nudge each other – keeping an eye on Giri all the time who reads Roja like a book!!!!Tamil had a lovely time in Arizona – lighted a camp fire and
danced till her legs gave way!!!– 10 days of "No Thols" (Kolangal)
is "Great Escape".
Giri's eyes are fixed – on Roja's handbag!!! "Roja , your handbag looks very heavy, can I carry it for you?" – Roja is all cautious and hugs her bag some more. Giri never gives up – " what can I do next to make Roja part with her bag??" Giri will be away for 3 weeks – "Dubai here I come" - She survived the questions of Jas while she was on the hot seat and decided that Dubai will be north pole in comparison !!! Between the two of them, the duo make sure to keep the IF ians on tenterhooks – " a day of peace and quiet with out the devil duo in the lounge" – alas, this secret dream of the members is a mirage!!!

Well, it is time for the Awards night celebrations - All are
dressed in their fineries - the lounge glitters with diamonds,
silk / chiffon materials and healthy smiles of all the members.

Roja gets on to the podium - hugging her bag tight and
all set to start her tirade – the members are extremely impatient . Atina is seated in the center and insists on Meli joining her - Meli sits by Atina's side and holds her hands for support!!!!
Roja winks at Giri – Giri has this amazing talent of reading
Roja's every move – she hops on to the podium and eyes
Roja's bag again - " Oscar committee needs to learn a few tricks from you about guarding secrets…." gets answered by one more wink from Roja. Giri's ears sport fragrant jasmine garlands and not to be outdone Roja adorns hers with orchid <!--[if !supportEmptyParas]-->garlands ……. Here we go <!--[endif]-->
" This will be our lounge anthem in future – we inaugurate this today
and may we request the members to please stand up and sing along,
thank you" The song comes on and the members are moved to tears.

is exploding with applause -Atina receives her award with
one of her lovely smiles
No 2 : We do know that patience is a virtue but this next person
is patience personified – She has the laborious task of updating
the most illogical, unreal, irritating and depressing serial -
Ksthuri – please welcome our own Patraj – Empress of patience
Ho stands up on the sofa , jumps and claps . There is a standing ovation and Pat has to swim to reach the dais. Atina crowns Pat.
No 3 : It is difficult to exist in a female dominated forum
But, this guy takes the cake with its carton – he managed to
sustain here for so long .. Dasa – IF lone ranger – Atina collects that as well – Dasa is away.
No 4 – This young one is a true wonder!!! Has the "who is who" of
Tamil small screen in her finger tips – clears the doubts, educates
and keeps a check on rash posts – carries a monumental burden on
her young shoulders ..Meli - IF Encyclopaedia -
Meli is shy – manages to get up and collect her award.
No 5 – The sports world is after this member, she posses the
mythological third eye and analyses the serials with zest. The
way Tamil serials are dragging, the story writers have lost track
of their own story. Well, IF can give them a hand …
Sue – IF 3rd umpire – analyst of the forum – will give all
the serial directors a run for their money . Sue is coming up to
receive her award – she did not forget to wear all the gold
bangles presented for her B'day – cant say which one
glitters more – her gold or her smile!!!

No 9 Jas – The moment the MOTWs are posted, there is one
sharp eye out to kill/drill the hot seat member. The MOTW
opens the thread every morning with mortal fear …
Please welcome IF Griller cum Toaster – Madhu tries to duck but
Jas has sharp eyes – the look she gives Madhu speaks volumes – you have just started baby, hold on, here I come – Madhu winces ……..
No 10 This person is passionate about her kitchen. Learnt
a whole load of recipes from her MIL and spreading them
around is her goal in life Kavitha – IF Kitchen queen - –
made sure to cook even in the heaven – that was a different story –
the Tamil IF ians defied physics a la Rajnikanth and flew in to
the heaven without any prior notice!! - the cooks in heaven
learnt a few dishes from our queen and included them in their menu.
The dining hall in heaven overflows on the days when these dishes
are cooked - (Roja gets regular H mails!!)

Rathy is in hiding ( it is time for just the voice!!)Bluegal
changes her contacts, Vani decides to buy 10 black skirts,

Giri announces the cake cutting ceremony, Atina obliges and
the members enjoy their dessert. Roja tries to sneak away
holding her bag but the IF Marshal has made sure to block the entry!!!
Well, since there is no option, Roja is forced to reveal the
"closely guarded" secret. The lounge calms down suddenly…..
Roja opens her handbag and lo and behold…. out comes a wand.
The members can not believe that the wand warranted so much
protection and security!!! Before being hit by the angry lot, Roja
does some thing strange – moves the wand up and down!!! The whole lounge starts floating in the air and every one is too stunned to react. "We are the world"song reverberates and the Tamil Lounge members go on a world tour to promote friendship and peace………
