If sources are to be believed, two daily soaps on two different channels — Hitler Didi andAnamika — are set to wind up in August-end.
Hitler Didi, which launched in November, 2011, has been surviving the rumours of getting pulled off air for long. But this time, it seems that the channel is certain to bring it to an end. It registered 1.5 ratings some time back. Says a source, "It's more or less confirmed that the show will end.
Though we are yet to be informed, rumours are rife that it's all set for a closure." However, producer Ila Bedi Datta seemed clueless about the development.
Coming back to Anamika — launched in November, 2012 — it has failed to rake in sustainable ratings. The makers attempted a revival by replacing original female lead Annie Gill with Shivani Surve. It registered a dismal rating of 0.6 a few weeks ago. Rumours also suggest that it might drag on till the mid of September. Male lead Mudit Nayar says, "That's what I heard, but there is no confirmation."
