Great Expectations!!!

🥱 I really had big expectations from this show, but I guess this is just another average (maybe below) show. I will list what expectations I had and how was each one shattered. 😭

1st expectation - I thought this show would have another way of defeating a chudail other than using god's power and going to the mandir all the time. (no offense to any religion) In all Indian shows/movies, a ghost, or whatever you call it, is ALWAYS defeated by god's power, as if the writers can't think about other creative ways to deal with a situation In the Zee Tv show Shree, the female protagonist always went to a mandir whenever she sensed a "buri aatma," which is similar to the scene where Jeet was with Anamika and Rano prayed for Jeet in the mandir which protected Jeet... What type of unique thinking is that???

2nd expectation - I thought this show would give us something different to watch by making Jeet fall for Anamika. In the history of Indian movies/shows, a main protagonist never gets attracted to a ghost/chudail, and this show is exactly the same. I thought it would be awesome to watch Jeet loving Anamika and his family's reaction to it... But I guess I am dumb enough to think any Indian show would be that good 😳

3rd expectation - I thought that Jeet will get attracted to Anamika without any use of magic. I mean, it wouldn't have been hard as Anamika is too gorgeous. I mean he always thinks about Anamika and he brings out his real self to only her. (his mature behavior) Was it so necessary to spoil this wonderfully built story by showing Anamika using magic to get Jeet attracted??? 👎🏼

4th expectation - I thought I wouldn't discuss about tacky Friendship love stories here...but I have too. It is always shown that two childhood friends/best friends have to fall in love with each other I mean they are showing a boy and a girl can never be friends 😕 What type of twisted logic is that??? These type of disgusting messages from shows makes me sick. I mean if a girl has 3 guy friends, does it mean she will fall in love with all three of them 😲 (they are guys you know, and boys and girls can never be friends) This is the main reason why I hate Jeet and Rano's couple, it just gives you wrong messages about friendship and love.

Well, I guess it was very long, but those who actually took time to read the whole thing, this what think about the show as a whole. All of my expectations were too much I guess. But I will just have to live with it. And the worst part is that because of Anamika's extreme beauty, I cannot even stop watching the show! 🤢

I agree with ur every point. In every indian movie/serial,they have to show the buri atmaa defeated by the power of god. Why it cant be the power of love which can make these buri atmaas as good souls?? I love those type of stories where one falls for bad person irrationally and that unconditional love slowly makes that bad person a good person. No...It has to be mata-rani...I rather find it very irritating. 2. About second point,Its a typical story where Anamika is a evil and Rano is the golden-hearted girl. So,jeet has to fall for the golden hearted girl. Its good vs evil...but i wanted rano and anamika both as grey shades..guess thats not gonna happen. 3. Now third point,yah,i mean look at anamika. The way she carries herself,her mysterious personality,her looks,her fragrance everything can attracts a man without any magic. But still,jeet is only attracted to her bcz of magic. I dont find the reason to. AND THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE POST. U XCTLY WROTE WHAT WAS IN MY MIND. :)

I agree with you all. It is just too much for us to watch the same story over and over again. I thought they would have a good use of ideas, but they just went back to their old methods of shows... 😡

I had similar expectations from the show as it was on Sony. However as you say.. My mistake. Should not expect too much or anything mature/different from daily soaps.

The show is in baby age, I mean initial age . Let the CVs decide how they want to to show their baby. It is too early to make comment about the future of the show.

so coming to Anamika, I agree with you that I am equally disappointed as right now the show really is becoming those ghisaa pitta ramsay brothers type horror movies 😡

well, maybe you have a point. but the thing is that PKYEK is an adaptation of Twilight which is not an Indian story...so we can say that Indian story writers have never made a protagonist fall for a ghost. I hope their thinking will change soon...
