Written Update 17th Aug...

Hi Everyone... Tonite Divya is busy with some work and she wont be updating... I am filling in for her tonite - hopefully she shall be back next week...😛

The show starts with the the Agni team making an entry on stage followed by Prithvi... Shaan then welcomes the guest for the evening - Sonu Nigam 😛 He congratulates Sonu for becoming a daddy... Sonu says it is after 7 and a half years that he has got a chance to be on Gajendra's show... 😊 He also says that the singers of this show have their own place amongst all other shows currently on air - Shaan is so happy on hearing this and says - aap ne keh diya bas kaafi hai...😉😆😆

Today they are singing Sonu's songs and the first contestant is Mirande... She sings Tohe Le Ke Sawariya from the film Shor... She sings well and the song suited her voice Sonu likes her singing saying he didnt expect a better start to the evening... The result - she is in Suraksha Chakra...😛

The second contestant is Ishmit who sings Deewana Main Hoon Dewana Tera... He sings good... Personally I find him a lil flat on low notes, but on the whole it was a good performance... Sonu says he felt his training is lacking a bit but he has a very nice voice and makes up for it with his voice... He too is in Suraksha Chakra...

Next in line is Arshpreet... Her song is Aaja Mahi(Feel the fire my desire...)... She is excellent yet again👏 She has such a unique voice 😛 Sonu compliments her and says you sang in heavy voice like Richa and Sunidhi... He says that singers with heavy voice generally have difficulty in high octaves, but you did that very well -it is a great gift to have and very few people have that ability...😊 She is in Suraksha Chakra...👏

Now comes Prantik Sur... Abhijeet already gives an intro for him to Sonu saying that he has his unique style and sings songs with his own interpretation... He sings Dil Deewana from Pardes... He sings very well - just as last week... Sonu agrees with what Abhijeet had said about him - he adds his own touch to the songs... He likes it... Prantik is in Chakravat this week too...

Its the turn of Harshit to sing Chori Chori Chupke Se Aake Meri Aankhon Mein Sama Ja... He is amazing with the song - such a wonderful voice 👏 Sonu says you sang extremely well - this is not an easy song... He mentions that Alka and him had sung this song and to sing both male and female parts is extremely difficult... He adds that you should get loads of votes for this performance... Harshit says that he has been a great fan of Sonu since long... He even was willing to be a naukar(servant) at Sonu's house just so that he can observe how he does his riyaaz😛 Sonu acknowledges him and says, we will surely have lunch together once - thats a promise...😊 Harshit is in Suraksha Chakra...

Abhilasha sings Suraj Hua Madham... Her voice is really sweet and sounded good... Sonu comments that this song has Alkaji's marking on it very heavily... And many singers have attempted this over the years... But you are the best I have come across till now... Give yourself one more year and there will be no stopping for you... She is in Suraksha Chakra...😛

Next comes Abhaas with Satrangi Re... Sonu jokingly says if there are any bad voices on the show or do they all sing so well... He says you were fantastic... He is in Suraksha Chakra...

Irfan is now singing Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya... Sonu is amazed with the way Irfan controlled breath in the antara... He says that I sang this song, but even if you had sung it, it wold have been a hit... Irfan is in Chakravat...

Next to sing is Toshi... His song is Dil Mangta Hai Dildar Soniye... Sonu says he has heard a lot about Toshi... He adds that when someone has lots of things(qualities) with him, it becomes difficult to manage... Same happened with you... You should not give an impression that "Look how good I am"... Toshi is in Chakravat...

Priyani - the much hyped event of the day is here... She sings Barso Re Megha... She says that altough it is Sonu's episode and everyone is singing his songs, I chose this as Sonuji wanted someone to sing this and it is one of his favorite songs... It is very diffcult but I will try... She is extremely good with the song 👏 Sonu says you did full justice to the song... 😊 Then a clip is shown where Priyani had said last week that she had a crush on Sonu... She blushes and says that since childhood I used to tell my mom that I will marry only Sonuji else I wont marry... Now Sonuji told me that he will do my Kanyadan when I get married, so I will get married soon now😆

Last performer for the evening is Sumitra... She sings Kaisi paheli zindagani... She sang well... Sonu says you did all you could with this song - more than this would have looked odd by adding mor murkis etc as in the case of Toshi... He was happy with her... Between Sumitra and Priyani, Priyani is in Chakravat...

Judges are unhappy with the bottom 4... But I dont understand this - even last week they were unhappy... After all, someone has to be there 😕

Ok final results - Sonu is called on stage to announce the results... Top vote getter amongst bottom 4 is Toshi... They show Sharib sitting in the audience... Then it is Priyani who is safe...... Third is Irfan and so Prantik Sur is eliminated... He sings a few lines of Sandese Aate Hain and the show comes to an end...

All in all a great episode👏👏 Sonu's comments were spot on... Only thing missing was a performance by Sonu himself...

Tomorrow's Preview: Guest judges are Mahesh, Mukesh and Pooja Bhatt... They showed Abhilaasha - seems she got stuck in her song... Gajendra is shown discussing something with the judges... Mahesh Bhatt says - It is my request that she be given another chance...

Toshi n Irrfan in bottom 4 .. Irrfan gets teh second lowest votes !!! 😡 R U FREAKIN KIDDIN ME !!!
i think the shows format shud be revised and the decision shud not be left just on public voting ..
am too dissapointed to say anything else ..
