In recent spate of objective scoring done by different judges we lost a good singer called Sanyantani.
If she was awarded a low score only because she couldn't put emotion right in one word when the song comes back to mukhda, what about other mediocre singers..??
Why judges didn't raise voice about relatively easy song like O mere dil mere chain..??
It seems we are going to see competition of medicre singers while judges keep eliminating good singers : be it Alka ji who can't stand good female singers or Jatin ji who gets carried away only because he felt nostalgic or Abhijeet who awards 10/9 etc at his whims & fancy...
I think format needs to be corrected before it's too late.

Completely agree Sinha'ji - I was simply stunned that gem of a performance from Sayantani got so low marks from others... I personally felt that she gave the best performance yesterday and that too on a very difficult song....

I was surprised to see how one single 'ho' marked her out, while a complete non-performance from Rohit got high points from Jatin just because he felt nostalgic.. I mean what was that? All the songs rendered yesterday were classics and didnt he feel nostalgic in any other song?

Losing Sayanatani so early in the contest is a big big bolt to the show...

at least 2 of the 3 passed yesterday won't be able to make furthur inroads if they continue like this, Ishmeet also will have to prove his worth in fast, peppy songs.
I think past format of SRGM was best when one or two stalwarts ( as guest judges) made the decisions, this lot of judges can't be trusted to award fair & right marks, they have their own reasons, biases etc..
I'm really sad for this gem to get out, I wish her all the best..

It is unfortunate that no one can question these judges about how they give marks based on their whims rather than quality of singing.

Sayantani also appeared in Zee Bangla's SRGMP and there also I felt that she was plain unlucky to go out and not win it.. She was the best talent there as well... Judges deciding by their own whims and fancies.. nostalgia, hype, bias or whatever... and we lose out on her! how unfortunate!!

i REALLY feel 💔 sorry abt shantayani. 😭 she was really good .... i think that was 😒 bad luck. the judges neeed to discuss and put down marks. the marking system is real 👎🏼 unfair.

While she was not perfect, I too feel that she deserved to go forward.
