May 18th Short Update - ASVOI

I dont know if anyone is suppose to update or not.. if so i apologize.. here's just a short update for you guys! 😉

Short Update:

• Everyone is waiting for the show to start..
• Next morning Shaan welcomes everyone and the contestants.. he says they will listen to 8 of 16 singers today and rest tomorrow..
• Judges Time! (Shaan Welcomes the judges)
• Queen of melody - Alka Yagnik
• Sur ke pujari - Aadesh Shrivastav
• Lalit Panditji
• Abhijeet-da
• Contestants Time!
• 1st contestant - Ravi Shashtri sings "bheege hoth tere" sings very well.. 👏 All of the judges like his singing but Aadesh Shrivastav..
• 2nd contestant - Tanushree Banerjee sings Aisa Jaadu Dala Re.. sings okay.. none of the judges seem to like it but than alkaji asks her to sing a melodious song which every liked.. 😳
• 3rd Contestant - Suman Banik sings "Meri Duniya hai tujhme kahi".. sings well.. Everyone says that his surs are lacking..
• 4th Contestant - Prantik Sur "Mujhe kuch kehna hai".. sings very very well.. All of the judges love it.. 👏 👏 he should go to the finals.. 😳
• 5th Contestant - Victor Dey sings "Tu hi meri Shab hai".. sings well.. judges like it.. 👏
• 6th Contestant - Rathijit sings "Ramta Jogi".. sings okay.. Judges didnt like it that much..
• 7th Contestant - Shyam Bhowmik sings "Yaar mangiya si".. sings well.. Judges like it .. but they couldnt hear the words/lyrics clearly.. 😔
• 8th Contestant - Arpita Khan sings "Ishq Kariyo Na".. sings good.. very high notes.. 😆 Judges thought it was okay..
• Eliminations Time!
• They ask random people from the audience and most of them like contestant #4 Prantik Sur.. 👏
• Judges say that 3 are definitely go through and the 4th one is for stand by.. 😆
• But still anything can happen tomorrow..
• Contestants that go thru are...
• #1 - Prantik Sur
• #2 - Tanushree
• #3 - Ravi Shukla
• #4 - Arpita Khan
• People who were not chosen state their views and everything..
• No big drama though...
• They'll hear other 8 contestants tommorow and than they'll decide who the finals will be from kolkata.. 👏

Overall comments: It was a good episode.. and alot happening.. This show is going to be the biggest music show in india.. 👏

Singer of the Day: Prantik Sur.. sings very very good.. definitely deserves to go to the finals.. 👏

Overall rating: 9.5/10 Fantastic episode.. Very eager to know who will go through from kolkata..

Thanks for the update. IMHO:

1st contestant - Ravi Shashtri sings "bheege hoth tere"
I agree with Aadesh in that he seemed imitative but he is a good singer.

2nd contestant - Tanushree Banerjee sings Aisa Jaadu Dala Re
I loved the second song. The first one was weak.

3rd Contestant - Suman Banik sings "Meri Duniya hai tujhme kahi"
I thought he butchered it. In front of Lalit and Abhijeet too. His was
besura and shaky in multiple places. But I was happy to remember the
song.

4th Contestant - Prantik Sur "Mujhe kuch kehna hai
I really really liked him. His voice was strong but I don't think he tried to
imitate KK. I hope he continues to do well.

5th Contestant - Victor Dey sings "Tu hi meri Shab hai"
I thought it was a little weak. I caught some besura notes but not so bad.

6th Contestant - Rathijit sings "Ramta Jogi"
Mistake to sing this song in front of Aadesh after Hemachandra's
memorable performance. I don't think people should sing these songs
without a really good classical base.

7th Contestant - Shyam Bhowmik sings "Yaar mangiya si"..
He was ok. I thought he had a nice voice. A little raw and he did seem to
muffle the lyrics.

8th Contestant - Arpita Khan sings "Ishq Kariyo Na"
I did not really like her that much but she sounded good in the audition.

Darn it, I tuned in half way. I didn't realize it was on. Oh well, better late than never, thanks for the short update 👏

thanks for the update.... in fact i thought that Anu regular updater at SRGMp will do it as she was watching both episodes thts why i did not do it.... 😊

anyways its too late for me so it would be so nice if u can give the updates on regular basis.... i have seen ur nice updates on PRC section... keep up the good work 👏 👏 👏

yeah, but i watched both the episodes.. Zee as well as from star.. I thought Abhi will be updating, but then he went offline.. We were all discussing the show together so i thought he will do it as i missed out few comments because was watching zee 😕 It was total juggling between the channels 😆

Thanks Divya and Mdroy for great update. Just got done watching 1st episode. I must say singers are much better than I have seen on some other shows.

Thank god Alka gave her chance to sing 2nd song. She did not sound good at all in first song. Fake voice she sang in was really strained and bad. But once she sang in her own voice 2nd song she sounded beautiful. She does have good voice. What Abhijeet said was very true.

This boy has great voice and throw. I liked his rendition.

He is not bad at all. Great potential.

6th Contestant - Rathijit sings "Ramta Jogi"
Mistake to sing this song in front of Aadesh after Hemachandra's memorable performance. I don't think people should sing these songs without a really good classical base.

Bingo!!!!! After listening to Hemachandra and Karunya this performance was too weak. Agree with u @ classical base and training. 👏

He was ok. I thought he had a nice voice. A little raw and he did seem to muffle the lyrics.

I felt he did alright job. Nice voice and great attempt. Best wishes to him in next round.

I did not really like her that much but she sounded good in the audition.

I did not like her singing. She was not there at all. Off singing.
