I hate being a quitter but when the writing's on the wall - sometimes you just gotta accept things and move on. So yes, I have decided to officially quit AM the show and the forum. I cannot tell you how tired I feel...aswell as angry! Constantly calling up the PH, only to get vague answers. And to call the Channel, only to hear the phone being slammed down on the other line. But I did it just to give a sincere shot at changing the minds of the CVs.
I have nothing against Ankita Sharma. But I do have something against a Nimrit REPLACEMENT! I don't care who they choose! If it's not Dimple then I'm not interested - period. A lot of pple have asked me why I'm getting upset and that these things happen all the time. Some are even comparing this to the Saathiya fiasco. But in all honesty, it is not the same. Saathiya is a complicated matter, whereas Dimple's replacement is fairly straightforward. The PH don't have their hands tied. They could have listened to our requests but they seem too stubborn to do so.
They acknowledged that they have been receiving calls from abroad, yet don't bother to take our grievances into account. And I don't think we will get much luck from Twitter and FB either because AM as a show has always been sidelined by the channel, so I'm not betting on them to follow up on our query. And I do not buy all this nonsense that it was pre-planned. Something does not add up and I have my theories but will leave it at that because it doesn't really matter any more. But this not only is unfair on the fans, it is also severe mistreatment of Dimple.
The only reason why I watched this show was AgNi. I've loved their khatta meetha moments. Moments of misunderstanding, awkwardness, friendship, companionship and love. And for me no one can give us AgNi better than Navi AND Dimple. A fresh pairing that was a treat to watch. I shall really miss them dearly. There was a genuine liking and comfort offscreen which translated very well onscreen. If only CVs could see things from our perspective...
And kudos to this forum. There aren't many members here but those that are active have played their part in trying to convince the Channel and PH to retain Dimple as our Nimrit. You've all been great and regardless of the outcome, have shown a great deal of spirit.
I feel bitter towards both the Channel and PH, who have not been straight with us and have left us hanging. I still feel that they have made up their mind and are simply buying time in order to execute their plan. What we think holds no real importance for them. Pity really - considering we make or break a show! Anyways, they should get ready for the decline of their show...they only have themselves to blame.
Unless some major development happens i.e Dimple is back, I shall not be returning to the forum, nor will I support this show.
My parting words for AgNi: Yeh Lamhe Yeh Pal Hum Barso Yaad Karenge. Yeh Mausam Chale Gaye Toh, Hum Fariyaad Karenge...
