It's part of my TV channel line up on Zee TV Canada and the channel has English subtitles for all it's serials which I'm very happy about. 😊

My only complaint is that Zee TV airs it with some scenes deleted, not just Canada but in the US and UK. If you need the subtitles, it's the way to go. I haven't been able to find anything else out there with subtitles.

Oh and that's not Zee TV online because I haven't been able to find subtitles there. Mine is a subscribed TV channel.

We don't know what Sharda answered Teja when she told her mom either you're with me and support me on this or you're going to lose a daughter. With the pre-cap showing Sharda speaking to Prem's parents and asking them "do you know who her father is?" makes me wonder whether she is planning on telling them the truth.

Also, if her father was as saintly as she portrays him to be, then do you really think that he would want her to go down this road of revenge? If he was always a man upholding the law, then what she's doing is wrong just like her mom told her. In her quest for revenge, she will probably end up being hurt the most.

It's funny that we see Prem almost being borderline psychotic in his obsessive love of Teja but on the flip side of it, Teja is equally obsessive in her revenge. I think her mom was extremely shocked to see this side of Teja . 😲

In this game of love and war we always saw Prem's true feelings when he was hating her. Everyone knew that he hated her and so did Teja. But the way that the game is being played now, she's not being upfront with her feelings, she's being very deceitful. Prem will definitely feel betrayed.

I'm really curious as well to see how she's going to play out her revenge. I wonder how far in advance the actors know how the storyline will be going and I wonder if they are given some surprises as well.

To be honest, Teja's anger is quite scary but we always knew she was passionate, so like you said, its raw right now, also I think its mixed up with feelings of betrayal, because she did consider DSR a father figure and now he is her father's murderer.

And I remember her telling Prem that cowards fight from the shadows & in a certain way that's what she is doing. But I guess its also a sort of reminder that when you get involved in things like revenge and vengeance, you lose a bit of yourself too, in seeking vengeance, she is actually losing a part of herself, a part of her dad's Tejaswini.

Prem when he finds out is going to be a volcano, have a feeling he will forcefully get married to her

That's why with Sharda making a statement like that I was thinking she was going to tell them the truth and maybe if she does it's too actually protect Teja. You can't exactly go against the mob and not get hurt.

That's what I dislike about translating between languages. People often end up sacrificing the exact meaning of words to preserve the meaning of the whole thought.

But I can say for 100% that Teja's mom said "What do you know about us? Do you and your son know who's daughter Tejaswini is?" As I said she's probably referring to Teja's dad and that's probably why it was translated like that, but the more correct translation is "who's daughter" not "Tejaswini's father." They did get the correct message across though.

The second translation I'm confused about. I didn't interpret it as "when the dust settles" at all so I'll just ignore that part. "Fiery revenge" is not what she said. What she said was "badle ki aag" which literally translates to "revenge's fire/fire of revenge " (the fire belongs to the revenge), Which doesn't make sense in English because its an expression in Hindi, so I said fiery revenge. Also with regards to Prem she said "pyaar ka pagalpan" which literally translates to "love's craziness/craziness of love." And at the end she said "dekhte hai kiski jeet hoti hai" which translates to "let's see (dekhte hai) which one (kiski) will win (jeet hoti hai).

Altogether it was "Prem Singh Rathod tumhara (your) yeh (this) pyaar ka pagalpan (craziness of love) aur (and) mere (my) badle ki aag (fire of revenge), dekhte hai kiski jeet hot hai (let's see which one will win).

I hope I don't sound defensive because I'm not trying to defend myself. My translation definitely wasn't correct. And I'm not a pro with languages or anything, but their translation of that one sentence Teja thinks was not very good (in my opinion). They did get the message across though; the translation of the idea is fine, but the translation of the words isn't.

I totally appreciate what you have to say about the language and the translations, Sapna. Because I don't speak the language, I'm really at the mercy of the subtitles. And it would seem that they are a bit off.

You can see from the subtitles when Sharda said, "------know who Tejaswini's father is?" why I was thinking that she may tell them who he was. From an English point of view, the focus was on the father.

Well, I'm just glad that they offer subtitles so that more people can enjoy them. 😊 Incorrect translations are bound to happen because of the two different languages. And keeping in mind the "sayings" that make sense in one language may not in another.

My aunt has always called my uncle, "mon chou" with love and affection. Translated, mon chou means my cabbage. There isn't anything romantic about a cabbage but the saying is a term of endearment. I don't think some things translate well. 😆
