There has already been so much hype surrounding the most awaited co-production of Balaji and Smriti Irani, Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Asma, which hits the air on 19 August. And now news is that the actor, who will be sharing the screen with television's most loved bahu, Tulsi aka Smriti, has been finalised. The ladyin question is Maddhvi, wife of Rajesh 'Roshesh' Kumar.

Thodi Si....delves into the struggle that exists between the rich and the poor. It revolves around Uma's perseverance and struggle to stand by her principles. Maddhvi essays the predicament faced by the middle class, ambitious, young women, who lead a dual life in order to pursue their career.

"I play Uma's (Smriti Irani) best friend, Sapna, who is in love with her younger brother Sanjay (Pawan Shankar). She is a junior model, who when at home is a demure, salwar kameez clad girl, but at work, transforms into a modern avtaar. "informs Maddhvi.

She further continues, "Sapna is compelled to lead such a life as she lives in colony which is filled with middle class people who looks down upon profession such as modeling,"

On asking what would be the USP of this serial, she says, "Realism is the USP. The show has got nothing to do with the tried and tested formulas of the saas-bahu saagas or family dramas. For the first time, the camera will move beyond bedroom issues and will focus on social concerns".

"To be a part of the Balaji camp is in itself great, and the bonus is that I get the opportunity to work with established actors like Smriti and Pawan, " says the excited Maddhvi, who is also seen in Hare Kanch Ki Choodiyan (Sahara One).
