CHAPTER - 47

Akash was so happy that he went to Ananya's without knocking into her room and he hugged her and said,"You know Ananya Paakhi called me papa today.Can you just believe that?Mujhe to abhi bhi ye sapna hi lag raha hai,ya phir main sahi mein sapna dekh raha hu.I think I should pinch myself.What do you say?"Akash was very excited and he was unable to think what he should do now and Ananya could easily determine from his gestures how happy he was.Ananya said,"I know tum aaj bohot khush ho aur main bhi bohot khush hu ke Paakhi ne finally tumhe accept kar liya hai but tumhe apne aap par control karna parega.Is khushi mein behkar apni beti ko spoil karna mat shuru kar dena."Akash said,"Actually main thora zyaada hi excited ho gaya hu isliye samajhme nehi aa raha hai ke kya karna chahiye.I think mujhe pehle daadi aur Suhaana ko bataana chahiye vo bohot khush ho jaayenge."Ananya said,"Ya vo to hai aur India bhi to jaana hai na uski shaadi hai."Akash replied,"Yes we have to go to India,Suhaana ne specially bola hai ke tum dono ko jaana hi parega.Main soch raha hu ke saara arrangement karwa lu."Ananya stopped Akash and said,"Nehi Akash,Paakhi nehi maanegi,she doesn't like to go to India specially jabse usko pata chala tha ke mujhe tumhaare ghar se nikalwa diya hai tabse aur main bhi ab us ghar mein waapas nehi jaana chahti hu.In fact mujhe bhi India waapas nehi jaana hai,main yaha bohot khush hu."Akash said,"Main samajh sakta hu ke tumhaare saath jo kuch bhi hua hai uske baad tumhaare jagah par agar koi bhi hota to vo bhi isi tarah se react karta and I won't force you for anything.Par tum Suhaana ki bhabhi ho aur is naate tumhe uski shaadi mein to shaamil hona chahiye na.Par uske liye abhi time hai,hum dono ko dheere dheere Paakhi ko samjha denge.Usey chahe ek baar hi sahi lekin India chalna hoga aur apne parivaar se milna hoga,at least mujhe milwana hoga ha main manta hu tumhe napasand karne waale waha bohot saare log hai lekin tumhe pasand karne waale log bhi hai na waha par aur daadi apni parpoti ko milne ke liye aakhe bichaaye bethi hai."Ananya replied,"Main jaanti hu bas mujhe sirf Paakhi ke liye hi dar lagta hai,pehle usse to baat karni hi paregi na.Iam scared pata nehi uska kya reaction hoga."Akash said,"We can handle it.Don't worry!!"Ananya nodded her head.

[ Few Days Later ]

On a holiday,Rohit was in a very happy mood and he said to everyone,"Jab se Akash aaya hai tabse na main bara relaxed feel kar raha hu.Main soch raha tha ke vcation par chala jaau.Main sach mein do do sardard ko jhel jhel kar thak gaya hu ab Akash ki baari hai and I need to take rest and so I think to go to Miami."Natasha said,"Abhi abhi tumhaara beta paida hua hai aur abhi abhi tum yaha se jaane ki baat kar rahe ho?Tumhe sharam nehi aati hai kya?"He said,"Isme sharmaane waali kaunsi baat hai?Main insaan hu main bhi tired ho gaya hu aur jis ghar mein do do aurto ke nakhre jhelne parte hai waha ek akela aadmi paagal ho jaata hai but still Iam alright.Mujhe chutti chahiye kuch dino ki aur hamaare till-now-married-bachelor ko bhi to pata chale ke biwi ke nakhre kaise kaise hote hai.So Iam leaving."The moment he got up to leave his room,Paakhi and Panchi both screamed,"Dad!!"Rohit smiled to them and said,"Of course how can I forget my kids!!Main apne bachcho ko lekar jaaunga.Waha sirf main aur mere bachche.Main abhi 4 tickets book karata hu."Akash said,"Plan to bohot achcha hai par usme ek problem hai."Rohit asked,"Kaisi problem?"Akash replied,"Well tumhaare bete ka naam karn ka function aane waala hai jisme papa ka hona zaruri hai and..."He looked at Ananya and then said,"Baat ye hai ke meri behen ki shaadi hai.Is baare mein main bohot dino se soch raha tha ke aap sab se discuss karu.Meri daadi ne kaha hai ke main Ananya aur paakhi ko lekar India waapas chalu aur main bhi ye sochta hu ke jis beizzati ke saath Ananya ko us ghar se nikaala gaya tha,usi izzat ke saath usko waapas ghar mein jagah miley.So...I need to take them to India."Everyone remained silent and Paakhi said,"Papa mujhe India nehi jaana hai maine pehle bhi kaha hai aapse.Dad please mujhe nehi jaana hai kyuki agar main waha gayi to phir wahi rehna parega and I don't want to stay there."Rohit said,"Don't worry Paakhi no one is going to take you away from me."He said to Akash,"I know Akash tumhaari behen ki shaadi hai aur tumhe jaana bhi chahiye lekin agar tum ye sochte ho ke tum meri Paakhi ko aur Ananya ko lekar yaha se hamesha hamesha ke liye chale jaaoge aur main kuch nehi kahunga to tum galat soch rahe ho.Paakhi meri pehli aulaad hai aur pehli aulaad sabko sabse zyaada azeez hoti hai."Akash said to Paakhi,"Beta hume India jaana hoga waha hamaari zaroorat hai.Waha daadi aur bua sab tumhaare liye wait kar rahe hai."Paakhi went to Rohit and hugged him and said,"Dad aap samjhaao na papa ko mujhe India nehi jaana hai aap sabko chor kar."Rohit said,"You trust dad na Paakhi to meri ye baat yaad rakhna ke tumhaare dad tumhe kahi nehi jaane denge."Akash said,"Samajhne ki koshish karo Rohit,I have lots of works to do in there.Meri bohot saari responsibilities hai jinse main muh nehi mod sakta hu isiliye."Rohit left his seat and said,"No Akash tum Paakhi ko mujhse dur kahi nehi lekar ja sakte ho.Maine tumse tumhaari family ko milaane ki koshish isliye nehi ki hai ke tum aagey chalkar meri hi beti ko mujhse dur kardo.Kuch dino ke liye jaana hai jaao lekin hamesha ke liye Paakhi kahi nehi jaayegi."Natasha intervened,"Stop it Rohit!!Jiju thik keh rahe hai,unki apni family ke taraf bhi responsibility hai aur vo Paakhi ke asli papa hai,uske achche bure ka faisla karne ka haq hai unhe aur vaise bhi abhi to Anu jiju ke saath hi rahegi na."Rohit yelled,"Kaisa papa???Vo to yaha tha bhi nehi jab Paakhi paida hui thi.Usko maine goad mein liya tha jab vo paida hui thi.Aajtak maine Paakhi ke baap hone ki saari zimmedaariyan nibhaayi aur ye aaj 8 saal baad aakar apna haq jata raha hai.Kya karoge Akash agar maine Paakhi ko jaane nehi diya to?Court mein jaaoge?Jaha jaana hai jaao,Paakhi meri bachchi hai.Jitni rate isey sulaane ke liye maine jaag kar bitaaye hai utna usko janam dene waali ma ne bhi kiya hai.Annie se bhi kahi zyaada Paakhi meri bachchi hai aur agar kisine meri bachchi ko mujhse cheenne ki koshish ki to main puri duniya mein aag laga dunga."Natasha said,"Rohit tum faltu mein hyper ho rahe ho.Pehle puri baat to sun lo."Rohit said,"Mujhe kuch nehi sunna hai."Saying he left from there.

Paakhi was very much affected by all these since he had never seen Rohit getting so much angry.She went to Natasha and said,"Mom maine dad ko itne gusse mein kabhi bhi nehi dekha hai.Mujhe dar lag raha hai aur udhar mom aur papa bhi bohot upset hai."Natasha replied,"Actually tumhaare dad tumse bohot pyar karte hai na isliye agar tum unse dur chali jaaogi to vo nehi reh paayenge aur isiliye vo tumhaare papa se gussa ho gaye hai kyuki vo tumhe khone se darte hai."Paakhi said,"To aap dad se baat karo na.Sab agar aise gussa karenge to kaise chalega?Dad aur papa ke beech mein to kitni achchi friendship thi."Natasha said,"Par usse pehle to papa se baat karni paregi na.Unse sorry kehna hai na dad ke taraf se."Natasha and Paakhi went to Akash's room and Natasha said to Akash,"Jiju look Iam so sorry!Rohit ko aapse is tarah se baat nehi karni chahiye thi aur isi vajah se main aapse sorry bolne aayi hu.Vo Rohit hai na bohot zyaada possessive hai Paakhi ko lekar so isiliye...but you don't worry aap bhi apne jagah par sahi ho.Aapka pura haq banta hai Paakhi ki zindagi ke baare mein faisla karne ka,main baat karungi Rohit se."Akash said,"You don't have to apologize Natasha.I can understand Rohit's feelings,vo Paakhi se bohot pyar karta hai and in fact bohot khush hu varna tum hi socho kis bachchi ko bina baap ke sagey baap se bhi zyaada pyar milta hai.Utna to mujhe apne dad se bhi nehi mila hai."Paakhi said,"Please papa mujhe nehi jaana hai."Akash said,"Paakhi beta main jaanta hu ke tumhe yaha sabke saath rehna pasand hai and I will not force you to leave from here but waha hume jaana parega kyuki tumhaari bua ne tumhe special invitation di hai aur sabse important baat to ye hai ke waha tumhaari mom ko bohot insult sehna para hai aur jinhone aisa kiya hai unhe bhi to punish karna zaruri hai na and so we have to go to India."Ananya said,"Akash Suhaana ki shaadi tak to thik hai par ye sab...in sab ke vajah se main nehi jaane waali hu."Akash said,"Tumhe zarurat nab hi ho sakti hai lekin mujhe hai kyuki meri biwi ki zindagi is tarh se jisne narak banayi aur jiske vajah se meri beti mujhse itne saalo dur rahi main usko itni asaani se nehi chorne waala hu."He said to Paakhi,"Just trust me Paakhi,please!!Please ek baar mere saath India chalo."Paakhi looked very confusingly at both Natasha and Ananya and then agreed.

Next morning,Rohit came to meet Akash and apologized to him for his behaviour.He said,"Iam sorry yaar!!Mujhe is tarah se tumhaare saath behave nehi karna chahiye tha.Pata nehi kal mujhe kya ho gaya tha,I just lost control."Akash said,"Please Rohit bhul jaao vo sab kuch.Jo beet gaya vo beet gaya aur main tumpar bilkul bhi koi gussa nehi hai.Tum apne jagah par sahi the Rohit par mujhe jaana hoga,mujhe bohot saare kaam karne hai but main tumse waada karta hu ke tumse tumhaari beti ko koi nehi cheenega,bas mujhe apne bhai hone ka farz nibhaana hai."Rohit agreed and then said,"Main tum logo ke jaane ka arrangement karwata hu aur Paakhi ki packing bhi to karwaani hogi na tumhe to nehi pata hai na ke usko kya kya chahiye hai na,vo to mujhse behtar koi nehi jaanega.Hai na?"Akash agreed and then Rohit said to Paakhi,"Paakhi waha achche se rehna aur kisiko pareshaan mat karna aur shopping karni ho to apne papa ko kangaal kar dena aur by chance agar mom ke gusse ke vajah se papa se paise na nikaal paao to mujhe bas ek call kar dena.Ok?"Paakhi agreed and then hugged Rohit and said,"Main aajtak aapke bina kabhi nehi rahi.I'll miss you dad."Rohit replied,"Ya I know main bhi to nehi raha hu na.I'll miss you too."Akash said,"By the way Paakhi ki shaadi nehi hui hai vo sasuraal nehi ja rahi hai.Don't worry she will return to you very soon."Rohit agreed and Akash Asked Paakhi to get ready and start packing for India.

Akash purchased tickets for them to leave for India with his family.On the day,of their journey,Rohit was very sad and they had a very emotional see-off.Panchi said to Ananya,"Mom mujhe bhi apne saath lekar chalo na,mujhe yaha koi pyar nehi karta hai.Mom to sirf baby ko lekar bethi rehti hai."Paakhi said,"Par agar tu chali jaayegi to dad akele reh jaayenge na."Panchi made a worried face and said,"Ha isiliye to ja nehi pa rahi hu na,bichaare mere dad ke paas mere alava aur koi nehi hai.Par na Mahima aunty ke jo new uncle hai na unhone kaha tha ke mujhe na India mein ice cream khilaayenge.Aap mere liye ice-cream laaogi na di?"The way she said that made everyone laugh and Paakhi said,"Par ice- cream late late vo melt ho jaayega na."Ananya kissed on Panchi's nose and said,"Don't worry baba mom aapko phir kabhi India lekar chalenge apne saath."Akash said,"Aur tumhe India se jo kuch bhi chahiye tum mujhe bata dena,main le aaunga tumhaare liye."Panchi nodded her head.After their flight landed in Mumbai,Ananya said to Paakhi,"Paakhi welcome to your country!!"They came out of the flight and Paakhi screamed,"Uff!!Papa its so hot in your country!!How you people stay in here?Main yaha zyaada din nehi rehna waali varna mere skin mein rashes ho jaayenge."Akash said,"Bahaar garmi hai but ghar mein itni garmi nehi lagegi and you are gonna love your home."Paakhi replied,"That doesn't mean main yaha zyaada dino tak rehne waali hu.Bua ki shaadi hote hi main yaha se uran choo.Back to New York!!"Ananya said,"Pehle chalo to sahi."On the way to home,Paakhi asked,"Papa aapke ghar se car nehi aayi?"He replied,"Maine kisiko bataya nehi ke main ghar aa raha hu."Ananya asked,"Vaise Rahul kyu nehi aaya?"Akash replied,"Kuch kaam settle karke kal ki flight se aa jaayega waapas."Paakhi was looking into the new city and said,"Eww mom this country is so dirty.Just look at them.Yaha waha garbage phek rahe hai agar US hota na to sabko fine kar dete aur vo bhi 1000 dollars."Akash said,"I know yaha ye sab karte hai jo ki bilkul thik nehi hai par beta har country alag hoti hai,waha ke taur tareeke alag hote hai.Jaise ke US mein jab bachche bare ho jaate hai to apne parents se alag rehte hai lekin yaha hume sabke saath rehna achcha lagta hai aur hum rehte bhi hai."Paakhi said,"Main apni mom ko aur apni family ko chor kar kabhi bhi kahi bhi nehi jaaungi."Ananya pampered her and said,"I know my baby."The car stopped in front of Akash's home and they came out of the cab.Ananya stood right in front of the house and she was taken back to a memory lane when she entered the house for the first time and how she left.Akash looked at her and said,"I know tum kya soch rahi ho aur normal bhi hai.Bas ek baat tumse kahunga ke pehle tumhaare saath koi nehi tha,lekin ab tumhaare saath tumhaara pati hai aur jo peechli baar hua,vo main is baar nehi hone dunga."He gave his hand to her and she held that hand.Paakhi said,"Papa you really have an awesome house!!I hope mera ek separate king size room bhi hoga,varna main chote babies ke tarah mom dad ke room mein nehi sonewaali hu."Akash replied,"Ha ha is ghar mein bohot saare rooms hai,so you won't have any problem."Paakhi said,"Ok!! But main na pehle se hi keh rahi hu agar meri mom ke saath kisine misbehave kiya na to main usko chorungi nehi."Ananya said,"Paakhi ye New York nehi hai ke tum jaha jaise marzi vaise pesh aaogi.Ye tumhaare papa ka ghar hai aur tum yaha pehli baar aayi ho so behave properly."Paakhi replied,"Kyu?Papa ne kaha ye mera bhi ghar hai,to main jaise chahungi yaha vaise hi rahungi."Akash said,"Ok ok ok baba tumhe jaise rehna hai vaise hi rehna koi kuch bhi nehi kahega tumhe aur please abhi yaha shuru mat ho jaana.Par abhi chalo to sahi."He took them inside.

The house was completely busy regarding the marriage preparations of Suhaana and just then one of the servants came right there and informed,"Sir...Ma'am...Akash sir ghar waapas aa gaye hai aur saath mein ek lady aur ek bachchi bhi hai choti si."Naina asked,"Akash aaya hai?"The servant was new so he doesn't knew anything and then an old servant of the house came running to Namrata all excited and said,"Bari maalkin,bari maalkin,Akash baba aaye hai aur saath mein,hamaari bari bahuraani,Ananya bitiya bhi hai aur ek bohot hi pyari choti bachchi lagta hai unki beti hai."Yash and Naina were shocked hearing Ananya's name and he said,"Ananya???Yaha??"Namrata and Suhaana were very happy and Namrata said,"Mera bachcha ghar waapas aaya hai,meri bahu aur parpoti ke saath.Suno ek kaam karo,aarti ki thaali sajao,meri bahu aur bachchi pehli baar ghar aaye hai,main khud unka swaagat karungi."Everyone went to the doorstep and Namrata was very emotional on seeing Ananya and she too had tears of happiness in her eyes.Yash and Suhaana were very angry on seeing them.The servant brought aarti thaali for taking evil eyes and Namrata did all the rituals.They entered inside and Namrata hugged Ananya and asked,"Ananya beta kaisi hai tu?"She replied,"Main thik hu daadi."Suhaana hugged Ananya and said,"Agar aap nehi aati na to main shaadi hi cancel kar deti aur ab aap aa gayi hai main nehi jaane dungi aapko kahi par bhi."Paakhi said,"Oh hang on!!Hum yaha hamesha ke liye nehi aaye hai.I just came for the marriage otherwise I have never left mom and dad and went anywhere else.Please aap sab emotional mat hoiye and by the way mom yaha pehle aa chuki hai and I think this is my first time here so aapko nehi lagta hai ke sabse pehle mujhe sabse introduce karaana chahiye?Right papa?"Akash said,"Right!!Ye Miss Paakhi Saluja hai,meri beti."Suhaana said,"Ha ha hum dono to pehle hi baat kar chuke hai na."Naina asked,"Suhaana tum kaise pehchaanti ho isey?"Suhaana replied,"Mom maine Paakhi se video chatting ki hai."Yash was very angry at Akash and asked,"Akash kya hai ye sab?"He replied,"Dad maine aapse kaha tha na ke main aapki ki hui galti sudhaarne ja raha hu.Ye wahi hai.10 saal pehle meri haalat aur Ananya ki majburi ka faayda uthaakar aapne hamaari shaadi karwaayi aur phir main thik hote hi aapne beizzat karke usey ghar se nikaal diya.Meri mulaakat Ananya se tab hi ho gayi thi jab main Rishabh ki shaadi ke liye US gaya tha par tab mujhe kuch pata nehi tha aur ab mujhe sab pata hai isiliye main apni biwi aur apni beti ko unka ha dilaane yaha laaya hu."Yash was shocked and asked,"Tumhe ye sab kisne bataya?"Akash replied,"Kya fark parta hai dad??Pata to chal gaya hai na aur vaise bhi sach kabhi chupaaye nehi chupta hai."Ananya came forward and bowed to take Yash and Naina's blessings and they both moved away.Naina said,"Jo larki hamaari haisiyat ki nehi hai hum usey apne ghar ki bahu nehi maante hai."Akash said,"Aapke maanne ya na maanne se sach badal nehi jaayega Mrs Saluja aur ye mat bhuliye hamaara divorce nehi hua hai so aise mein Ananya meri biwi hai aur is ghar ki bari bahu aur hesiyat ki baat kar rahi hai na aap to suniye USA ke one of the top airlines companies,Mafatlal Groups if Aviations ki Managing Director hai ye aur aap kya hai,Saluja Aviations ke maalik Mr Yash Saluja ki biwi,koi alag pehchaan nehi hai aapki."Yash said,"Par main isey apni bahu nehi manta hu."Paakhi was seeing that they were continuously insulting Ananya and so she intervened and asked,"Excuse me!!Why're you insulting my mom and why're you being so rude to my papa?Mere papa to bohot achche se baat kar rahe hai aapke saath,phir aap kyu nehi kar sakte?Karela aapka favourate food hai kya?"Ananya covered Paakhi's mouth and said,"Paakhi what the hell is this?Ye tumhaare dada daadi hai.Sorry bolo inhe."Paakhi said,"Oh so you are the two snobby persons in my papa's life.Mujhe pata hai aap dono mere papa se pyar nehi karte ho but you don't have the right to insult my mamma papa."Naina made a face to Paakhi and said,"Dekho kitni badtameez larki hai,isko koi tameez hi nehi sikhaayi hai lagta hai."Ananya grinned,"Stop it Paakhi!!"Paakhi said to Ananya,"Aap khud to kuch bolti nehi ho aur main bolti hu to aap mujhe rokte ho.Thats not fair!!"She then said to Naina,"Aur aap you know you look like the witch of the sleeping beauty and yes meri mamma kuch nehi bolti hai iska matlab ye nehi hai ke main bhi kuch bhi nehi bolti hu.Main bolungi aur agli baar se meri mom ke saath aise behave mat karna aur mere papa ke saath bhi nehi."Suhaana whispered to Namrata,"Daadi ye to bilkul choti waali mirchi hai,sabse teekhi waali."Namrata replied,"Achcha hai na teri ma ka dimaag thikaane laga kar rakkhegi."Suhaana said,"Daadi thats no fair vo meri mom hai."Namrata said,"Dekh is khaandaan mein koi bhi saas apni bahu ko pasand nehi karti hai,na main teri ma ko pasand karti hu aur naahi teri ma teri bhabhi ko pasand karti hai aur phir dushman ka dushman to dost hota hai na isiliye mujhe apne pote ki bahu pasand hai.Meri naatin haaye iske to kya kehne,isko kisiki nazar na lagey."Suhaana said,"Daadi aap bhi na!"Paakhi said to everyone,"Vaise papa kehte hai ke India mein sab log rituals ko bohot maante hai and they treat guests like God aur yaha...whatever mujhe bohot neend aa rahi hai,jetlag bhi ho raha hai so I want to go to my room."Namrata said,"Arey ha ha kyu nehi,tumhaare liye to ghar ka sabse beautiful room maine pehle se hi tayyar karke rakkha hai."Paakhi said,"Thank you bari daadi!!Maine suna hai yaha bohot achche traditional designer dresses milte hai.Main na kal se shopping par jaaungi bua ke saathThe old servant said,"Paakhi baby chalo main tumhe tumhaare room mein lekar chalti hu."Paakhi said,"First of all mera naam Paakhi hai so don't call me Paakhi baby.Abhi chalo."Saying she left with the servant and Akash and Ananya too left for their room.
