no last names--how come????

Just had a revelation that none of these characters have last names. I think that is very common in these serials. Is that right. They are only known by their first names. How come the creatives don't give them last names? I notice Loha had the last time Singh. 😊 😊

yea they pretty much have singh for everyone.
but in other shows they do have last names, like sethi in karol bagh

After IPL season as got over, I am getting the opportunity to watch Agle again. Not that the story has progressed much, I did read updates once in a while in this forum but then I have to agree with tellenovelle, every few serials in the hindi teledom give attention to detailing....I do not know why, are they racing against TRPs or they improvise the story everyday...hence to get the episode canned is most important....

I wonder what Gangiya's last name is. 😆 But the main family has Singh. Not sure about Laali.

my POV is dat
serial is all abt the area where even the first names of people r not pronounced properly(like shekharwa) and abusive words like sasura, haramzada etc r so frequently used ....

so in such a backdrop last names hardly matter.........

even if they don't have last names in the show some of the first names are complicated too. the writers should keep the names easy for the audience to remember.
the name should be no more that six to eight letters... 😛 😛
it took me a while to get the names of everyone and i still don't know them well or can spell them well. 😛 😛
