Written Update - March 24

Next Morning - Phulwati is introduced

Laali is sleeping when she hears kids screaming " Phulwati didi aa gayi". She get's excited since she is her friend and runs after the kids. Phulwati arrives in a truck, all dressed up with nice clothes and gold with her husband. Phulwati says that her husband was going somewhere so she asked him to drop her here. Phulwati is quite modern, she knows some English words, gives flying kisses to her huband, wears sunglasses etc. But she is a villager at heart. Phulwati along with Shanichari, Laali and the other kids go to Phulwati's house. Phulwati gives the gifts to her parents that she brought for them from the city. She gives them brushes, clothes, crmes etc, everyone is very excited at seeing all these new products. Munna asks Laali if there are sweets in the packet, Laali get's sad and tells him that there is nothing in the box. Munna is sad.

Phulwati also gifts Laali and Shanichari hair extensions. While Laali sees the street seller once again, she runs after him to a great length but he escapes. All the other girls come there as well. But then Laali notics that Munna is missing, everyone starts looking for him. When they find him they see that he was eating some leftovers which were thrown on the dirt. Laali tells him to stop, but Munna starts crying and asks what he should eat. They all become sad. Laali hugs him and says that she will bring food for him.

There is a pooja parade going on in the village. There are many people participating in it. There are loud drums being played. They all go there and Lalli starts dancing in it. And then Laali get's a lot of Prashad from the pundit there. The pundit also ask's Laali if she is married and Laali says yes. The pundit then gives Laali a packet of sindoor. Laali decides to gift this sindoor to Shanichari as her Gauna gift. But Shanichari is no here to be seen, then Phulwati tells Laali that Shanichai's mom came and took her home.

Shanichari - Laali - Old Man

Both Laali and Phulwati then go to Shanichari's house. They talk to her through the window and Shanichari tells' them that she can't come outside since there are guests inside. The guests are none other than the old man to whom Shanichari has been sold to. Then Laali was about to give the sindoor to Shanichari when Nanku comes there and grabs Laali and asks her to come home. Laali insists that she doesn't want to go and that she has to give the sindoor. But Nanku doesn't listen, since he is worried that the old man might show interest in Laali as well once he sees her. On the way home, Nanku and Laali see the old man standing in front of them. Nanku is very worried and the show ends.
