Blindly trust people

I'm basically a simple person. I value honesty more than anything in this world. I can't stand to watch someone hurt I try my level best to cheer them up, and I like to believe every person no matter how bad has something nice in them. That deep down they are good. I used to trust people blindly before, but now I have realized I don't. In fact my approach to people has been negative I'm not saying I'm rude to anyone (I am not) but its just I've become a bit negative now due to bad experiences. Like, I don't trust people as easily, as I used to before, and I often think "if that person is not doing this.. then why shoud I do this?". I really don't like this change in myself. It bothers me. I like the person I was before viewing everything positively and trusting people it was something that cheered me up, but now all this negativity brings me down, and it bothers me sometimes. What should I do? Is it right to blindly trust someone just because it makes me happy?

Having a positive attitude & believing that every single person has some good in them is a wonderful thing but that doesn't mean you must trust them blindly. Positivity & trust are two completely different things. Being positive about life & people makes each day bright so keep the positive attitude but be careful on trusting each & every individual you meet...allow yourself to distinguish between the two & keep them separate.

haha! Thanks. Yeah, I agree. Its two different things, but I feel bad when I don't trust people as easily as I used to before. I feel like I'm being jhooti for some reason.

Think of it this way - if you choose not to trust someone, you are doing it to protect yourself & that by no means is being jhooti.

Trust is like respect, it should be earned. If you trust blindly then you'll end up encouraging some people to take advantage of you, and you certainly won't want that. Let them work for it and earn it from you, and you'll automatically come to know whom to trust and who all not to trust.

I won't say that you should be cynical and not trust anyone but if you want to save yourself from a lot of pain then that's what you should do!

Don't trust anyone who walks into your life. It doesn't mean that you can't be cordial to anyone new, in fact you should be, be nice and all but don't trust anyone so easily.

From whatever I have had to go through in my life, I have also realized that you should never trust anyone blindly. As much as I value honesty, I hate to admit that people lie for the simple things even but it's true. People lie even when there's NO need at all but that's how many people are.

So don't trust people easily but if someone's in your life long enough and they've given you reasons to trust them, then by all means do. But let them earn it instead of you showering it on them. That's the only way they'll realize the value of your trust.

Well u noe u cnt trust each n evry person... thnx 2 d terror attacks..bt den u can trust ppl hu u feel 4m inside r worth u're trust..thnk of ow well u noe em..deir nature wid u n odas..try 2 watch each prsn's xpressions n eye contact... dis well make u noe tat hu is actually worth ure trust n hu u shud beware of trusting
