That's the reason why Akshat (as much as I think he's egotistical and horrible with Sameer, I can understand his jerkiness towards Meenaxi) was willing to go along with their taunts of Meenaxi. And perhaps, that's the reason others are as well.

They would never taunt straight up that she's DC's favourite, at least not yet.

The only instance is Karishma with the "she said DC is hard outside and soft inside."

The other instance is where Karishma asked "DC" why her, what does she have that I don't have? Here I think a bit was revealed, though she didn't realize it completely. If DC heard her plan to change partners, then he would've heard the Meenaxi parts too. And perhaps that's why she asked what Meenaxi has that she doesn't.

The intensity of the taunts could have been less if they were not led to believe that she is not fair. In this game they are looking at Meenakshi as wrong person. Also her social background is adding up...

today one of the contestant was mentoning some thing when she has fallen down... About her falling down in her character. that is why I quoted it here. In their view, she has gone down in morals.

where is morals coming here, On what grounds do morals stand a chance here, Humiliation on not performing well she being a nukarani ki beti and those taunts are acceptable, so the harshness is mostly to show their own insecurities

I think I have to watch again... maybe I am not too happy with the tamasha they created...and most of it was not implanted but naturally occurring also.. ganging against her .. But Anagd or Akshat were also joining this atleast did'nt expect from them ...

I think there are two dimesions,

Humiliating Meenakshi for her bad performance makes sense... She is not a trained dancer only 3 people know about the stolen song I doubt the others know

Moral values Humiliation is wrong ...

Very debatable situation meenashki is placed in by all here

Laughing and pointing at someone's mistake like that is also wrong. Would they do it for any of the other contestants messing up? Sure they may be glad due to competition, but nothing like an outright humiliation of pointing, laughing and taunting.

They didn't do it when Sameer messed up. (This may be because Akshat was his partner.)

The moral values part. Yes, it's wrong. But think about it from their perspective. In their view this is a girl who has favour with the producer/director. This favour that she has/had with him is not something innocent. Bobby implied that a bit in his tone even before showing that hugging clip, but then they were shown that clip and it was clear to them. (What we know is not the point, it's what how it is presented to them, and how they are going to take it and interpret it.)
