There are two races or civilizations. One the Aryans that follow the patriarchal system governed by very good looking men 😃 one of them being Varundev (the hero) who is the most able soldier. They are lead by their Purohit (the most learned one).. The Aryans land is barren and they seek out the land that belongs to the Dravidians hoping to overpower them

On the other hand are the Dravidians that follow a matriarchal system where Devsena is the young, soon to be queen. WHo is a fierce warrior and does things by her rules. Once she comes of age she is to take the throne which is eyed by her evil aunt Dayalini who also wants the throne for herself. Daya is helped by the female commander Thangam who masterminds most of the evil games. They also go to Hahuma (a mystic lady) who can foresee things. The Dravidian land is fertile and flourishing.

these two lands are divied by a river or something not sure.

Devsena's mother is dead but when alive though married had fallen in love with an Aryan. This part of the story is not known to Devsena.

Hahuma is too possessive of her land and hence is responsible for the death of Devsena's mother. She lead the then Queen to kill herself for her deed of loving an Aryan though married.

Somehow a battle is to take place between both clans. But to avoid bloodshed and losses they decide on a one to one combat.

Devsena decides to fight the Aryans as she wants to avenge her father's death. (That part of the story is actually quite weak)

Varundev is not chosen to fight in the one on one dual but Devsena demands for Varundev tricking the Aryans into saying yes.

At their first meet, they feel a connect and since then both are unable to get the other one out of their minds. They seem to have fallen in love which is revealed and explained to Varundev by his friend Shivan.

The night before their day two battle Varundev confesses his feelings for Devsena and says they are soulmates and will be destined to meet again for eternity.

The battle ends with both giving up their lives to meet again.
