I'm so very grateful to the producers of this show and to Zee T.V. for airing it. The MOST important thing is to raise awareness about this scourge on humanity so that we can find a cure. It is a lifelong disorder affecting children in many different ways. Which is why it's referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorder. The spectrum is so wide, that kids can be on the borderline where they have a few symptoms like speech delays and social skills issues (which is how my son is), to very severe where they require help for even the most basic human functions that "typical" kids master at the gae of 2 or 3!!!
I thank every God in heaven that my son is only on the borderline and his main issues are communication and social skills. He is able to talk and express his wants and needs, and is able to tell people his name and address/phone number. My nightmare is what happens in the show where Antara gets lost and has no way of letting anyone know how to help herself!!!
India's awareness of this disorder is dismal, and it's through shows like this that we can raise awareness and actually inform people that children on the sutism spectrum ARE NOT CRAZY/PAAGAL, they just are unable to express their feelings and emotions and tend to remain in a world within themselves. It DOES NOT mean that they have no feeling or emotions. THEY DO!!!, and the same things that affect us affect them, and can have their feelings hurt as well as elevated EXACTLY the same as so called "normal" people.
