As Angel comes in with Vidya and Adit, Billo comes over and stops them. They hand over Antara to him and Vidya tells him to be careful. Billo says he realises that. He thanks "Aunty" and promises to take care of Antara. He gives Vidya a hug and she is surprised. She tells him in jest that he shouldn't have a weepy face otherwise his mascara will run. Both Vidya and Adit laugh indulgently. Abhi is still very shy, so Billo tells him to hang on to his Radha since he has "pataoed" her for him with difficulty. So Abhi holds her hand.
But on the other side, melodramatic Mrs Gupta remains unrepentant. She is sure that Billo is going to lose and wonders when he will ever get "akal". (Probly never dear, if he takes after you!) The lady Prez is the other chameleon who can't understand why those people (means the Vermas) insist on trying to make their 'pagal' daughter participate with 'normal' kids. Mrs Gupta tells her to hush and not use the word 'pagal'. The Prez tells her to give "taklif" to those who cause her the taklif. (Did you understand this high intellectual drivel?) Then they hatch a plot and whisper in each other's ears with unholy glee. Mrs G rushes to the stage and takes the mike from her hubby and announces the start of the dances of the jodis. She goes off the stage and tells Abhi to get ready and asks him to go to the toilet. He says he doesn't need to. She frightens him about what he would do if he feels like going to the loo while on stage. So Abhi runs to Adit who is sitting with Angel. Poor unsuspecting guys! They get up. Mrs G comes and says that while you are away I'll take care of Antara. Adit gives Antara to her. That awful virago leads Antara away making sure no one is looking.
She goes to the Society office and makes Antara sit on a chair. She tells her not to move from there and locks the door. Meanwhile the two guys return. Adit takes Abhi to the group of children. He notices that Antara isn't there. He asks Billo about her and he says he himself is waiting for her. Adit gets flustered. He asks Mrs G where his daughter is. She replies p'haps behind the stage. Adit says she isn't there and she should know because he left her in her care. She explains (that liar) that she left her with the kids…..but God knows where she may have wandered off. Adit is not impressed. Next on stage would be Abhi and his partner after who would be Billo and Antara. Adit is searching for Antara everywhere. Vidya asks Adit what the matter is and he tells her about Antara's missing. Vidya asks Arti (the so helpful dingbat) who denies knowing anything. Vikram joins them. Billo is shocked that he has been left in the lurch. He refuses to dance alone or with anyone else (how sweet). But his pushy mom pushes him on stage. He announces on stage that he would dance only with Angel. (Good show pal…keep it up) His mother comes on stage and insists he dance. Mr G asks where is Antara? Meanwhile Angel is banging on the door (rather uselessly). On stage Mrs G is under fire from Adit who can't understand how she could have left her alone. Mr G announces that anyone who has seen or sees Angel should report immediately. Adit, Vidya and Arti start earnestly searching for her. Adit hears the banging on the office door and opens the latch. He sees her inside. Oh the poor mite! She is hot and flustered and petrified too. ( I hope a thousand piranhas feed on that Mrs G) Adit pulls her close and reassures her. She is frightened and he can see that. He kisses her and picks her up. He goes out and yells, "Who the hell locked up my daughter?" Mrs G looks awkward. Billo knowingly says it could be no one but his mother. She glares…….. but cares? A huge debate ensues. Heated words are exchanged which we have all heard before so I am not going to repeat those ghisa pita dialogues of Antara …pagal …..illegitimate…..kisi aur ka paap ….. blah blah blah.
But Vidya puts both the ladies firmly in their place. She tells them that no child can be referred to as illegitimate. (Really Vidya……not long ago who was taunting Adit with the same words? But never mind, you've accepted Antara and so you're forgiven) She tells them to be useful to society and help others rather than being obstacles. She tells Mrs Prez to look after the broken pipes and gutters rather than being nosey. Mrs G vows never to enter Vidya's house but Vidya disdainfully looks away. Billo rebuffs his mother's orders and says he will continue to visit the Vermas and his father shrugs his non-acceptance of the edict too.
Precap: The music is playing but Antara is too upset to dance although Adit and Billo cajole her to.
Phew!!!! That was a long update………but I thought everyone would like to know the details.
