As for Tej, I feel his annoyance levels are just a foil for a bigger role he may play- he may just be a hero sometime. Poor Janhavi gets hurt way too much.

The sister plot is very boring..I wish they could have given us some other useful insight into the planning arena other than bargaining but who knows this may be the prelude to some twist/subplot.
Teens plot is also not very exciting as of now but will wait to see if they can spice it up!!
Tej is not a villain its anybody s guess but as you said he may play the game spoiler for either of the sides

First 2 episodes over and so far its pretty gripping with some excellent performances. One highlight is there's not a single lagging moment anywhere.

But I did find those scenes with the 2 sisters and Yakoub to be highly contrived. Though their fates remain ambiguous, I guess they must be dead. Another character I found annoying is Tej as if he was trying real hard to act suspicious.

Apart from these minor things its been very engaging so far. Anil Kapoor as usual shines as JSR. Tisca also is brilliant as the resigned wife and panicked mother. But the guy who plays Aditya Singhania is the real treat. Not only is he good looking, he's a very impressive performer as well, as he makes the youth icon and future PM seem more real and believable. And it was a pleasant surprise seeing Anita Raaj back on screen after so long.

Real sad that we lose Anupam Kher so soon. Was expecting to see him in 1 or 2 more episodes.

Performances are excellent but these trivial flaws look so great only because rest of the things are perfect!
Sad to see Anupam Khers role end!

Both JSR and Aditya are getting better as the show moves ahead. Expect plenty of rough interrogation in this show, especially for Nikita. I hear Tej called Gill- another CID joke around the corner? That Yakub/sisters plot was getting worse each day/hour, and I'm relieved Max did his bit in cleaning it up. Poor Jahnavi.

Another Con-gress joke- was that secretary based on liar-in-chief Digvijay Singh?

One more dead. This time, it's the more lethal of the kidnappers. Another casualty off-screen. Maybe we need a separate thread for casualties/fatalities, as there's one dead per episode, and this isn't CID.

That Vadra gets sicker hour by hour. He could be the insider plotting against Aditya. With likely help from WNCC- or they're blackmailing him for Government funding for their channel- much like our news channels running on Government funding.

@bold, Actually this seems like a good idea so those who are uncomfortable watching violence can kind of have an idea of what to expect in each episode. In my opinion, so far the violence hasn't been too bad.

Have yet to finish watching Saturday's episode fully to comment properly on the episode.

But the moment I saw the other Mrs.Singhania I actually went "God! Not another reference to the Gandhi family !" They really shouldn't have resorted to something like that.

What do you think of their version of Robert Vadra? A sick breed of comic relief, that Vikrant Maurya. I wonder if they'll show him sell off Government land at 1000% profit.

That the 12AM rerun and Sunday's 1PM rerun were cut was a bit disappointing, and I had to wait tilll 8PM for the Saturday episode rerun.

When they showed him in the first episode itself I thought "Uh-Oh...Robert Vadera!" And I was hoping for no more "obvious" references. But no such luck.

So far he is just an annoying caricature but yeah pretty sick. Uptill now he doesn't seem to have much of a say in the family and just seems to be someone everybody just barely tolerates. Don't know if he'll be shown later having a much greater role to play in this assassination attempt.

I get the feeling Yakub may be following orders from someone else- in a dramatic twist, it could be Vikrant. While most of the characters are portrayed as relatively normal in Indian politics, and Aditya, as a real hero, unlike Rahul Gandhi (who is a subject of jokes on the internet), if this was supposed to be the Nehru-Gandhi family, they've somehow either exposed or smeared muck all over Vadra. Either he's part of the plan, or he'll end up dead, bringing relief to viewers- the latter likely, since he is not a very relevant character in the plot.

It's not entirely a reference to the Nehru-Gandhis. The real Nehru-Gandhi family were referenced when the show mentioned the assassinations of Indira and Rajiv. Besides, we don't hear of Maneka Gandhi pushing for her son Varun to be the Prime Minister of India. I feel, just to distract viewers, they'll stuff in parts of Narendra Modi in Aditya Singhania.

I too believe Aditya Singhania's character is being handled nicely, by actor and director/writer alike. I'm also impressed with Ajinkya Deo's acting, how he fakes his concern all along in the show, till he kills and subsequently kidnaps.

Hip Hip Hurray is an old favourite of mine, and I have a soft spot for youth dramas- much of V's Buddy Project fans have fond memories. That show also had Suchitra Pillai, as a teacher- she's now acting as Mehek Ahuja here.

Finally finished watching the episode fully. Yeah, Ajinkya's acting was really good. But I had already had a doubt right from the start that he wasn't exactly who he said he was. But the way he killed Jhanvi was truly chilling. I had a feeling he was an agent but not someone who would go to the extent of killing. In this case, could it be him who killed and mutilated the real Abhay Gupta??

Hip Hip Hurray was a big favorite of mine as a teen. Wouldn't miss a single episode. But couldn't watch when they started the college track.
