poor RS who should be supported by Mnaju but waht she does she alwasy gets sick and acts insane.
In this situation RS needs support of anuj and Manju. Both are useless.
With wife life manju son like anuj and daughter like Nitu. RS is really like a defeated man.
Thanks God he has abhi and Simi.
How a father like RS feels in real life with family like sethis. My heart really goes out to him. Abhi si truly a blessing !!!!! i don't know for how long?
waht say?

I say the Seethi's are blessed to have a father like RS. Especially considering their insane mother with her temper tantrums, child bias, and fake suicide attempts. RS is the glue that keeps this family together. Papa Seethi is a sweet, strong man who stands by his daughters. I think once he gets over the initial shock he will support Veetu getting married. For Simbhi's sake I hope they are already married. If not insane Manju Ji will pawn her off on Homie. Sweet Abhi needs to don his Superman shirt and save the day.

I am not sure I agree with your views on RS. He is a wonderful man, but not really a good father...
- He has not given his daughters the trust and confidence that they can come to him with their problems and desires anytime and he will deal fairly with those. Till all hell broke loose on Lohri night, Simi did not know if her father would accept her relationship with Abhi.
- He did not treat his adult son as an independent adult who may hold a world-view and ambition different from his own. How unreasonable of him to expect his son to be limited by his own ambition (manage the shop) and his daughter-in-law by her MIL's lifestyle. In fact parents should take pride in their kids doing better and living better than they themselves did.
- He did nothing to make his new DIL (from a contrasting background) welcome or give her time to adjust and learn the ways of her new household, instead was almost waiting to find fault in her from day one.
- He is clearly close to Simi and Mili but has never been seen to engage Neetu or Anuj in a meaningful/ affectionate conversation.
- He can be pretty stuffy too - he refused to accept money offered by his son (unprompted) for his own wedding, and was offended by Mr T's (insensitive but well interntioned) offer of help when the shop closed.
- He decided unilaterally to conduct Anuj's wedding as a simple affair without consulting the aspirations of AA.
No offence, just my views, would like to see more POVs on this!

Au contraire Manju is actually getting harsher - she is now employing a very subtle but deadly kind of emotional blackmail - modus operandi is "oh woe be me, its all my fault and I derserve to suffer for it, you go and enjoy your lives and please don't think of poor old me weeping here for the rest of my miserable life, after all its all my fault and......"
Far far worse than open disagreement and tantrums!
