I wish there is some twist in this story.
Abhi can probably tell RS that he is in love with someone. The girl's parents are not agreeing. Will require your help to resolve this issue at a later date. Probably he can confess he had sold his jeep to buy a ring for his beloved which she is not in a position to accept right now. Mili has noticed a ring with Simi. Probably she can support Abhi. She had only supported Abhi last time to sort the RB mess.
Simi's marriage may be fixed with Nakul. In the process something goes wrong with Abhi..probably an accident...last time he met with an accident she messed up the meeting with one Mrs.Sharma. Probably she runs to meet him in the midst of her ROKA ceremony with Nakul and the world comes to know of their relationship. The typical Indian serial masala you know for the audience.
Yet it would be much nicer for the confession from SIMI's part. Rather than Abhi doing everything for her and him taking initiative to announce to the world, it would be a welcome change for the confession from Simi's end.
Probable ideas from my way of direction for audience support but still with Simi coming out in the open about her choice of Abhi.
WHAT SAY???????

Something will have to happen for Simi to wake up and realize what Abhi meant to her. It's hard to believe this is the same character that couldn't focus when she realized Abhi was in an accident. Now she doesn't seem to even care about him. If this is the writer's intent, then they have done a good job, but I doubt it which makes the whole show less believable. I hope it does get better and something that you write about happens.

I agree simi is to realize abhi's worth. YTrue she had a courage to ask him first time after the accident that if abhi loves her or not.

Simi can really solve some of the problems very easily. I cvant understand whyu she takes all the problem on her head. Neetus problem she can very well tell her parents and leave it to them to take care as she cvant do anything, only thing she is causing misunderstanding between her and neetu.
about anuj ans anita, leve it to time and her fathers decision...... in this also she cant do anything. any way anita wont let anuj to come home now....then anita will loose and will not get her diamond bracelet.........
this way two major issues solved.
Nakuls issue (if she doent not want to tell RS about Abhi) she can tell RS as of now she dosent want to get married., like how she told Abhi.she can very well tell once anuj comes back and their problem is resolved then she will think of getting married .
So easy.....prblems solved and she can sleepin peace rather than getting up in slepp and shouting at abhi( saying that u cant understand me and what and all i should tell u........... and what not)

mesimi,
I too wish Simi is shown wanting Abhi and confessing their relation ... but isn't that a no no based on the formula for the main protagonist of an Indian television drama?

Bee5,

Its an unexplored arena on Indian television. The inconsistency at her characterization seems real. This is how people with lack of self confidence actually behave.

One minute she is the sacrificing self, most of the time hurt being judged by her looks and at one point determined to solve family problems in spite of getting insulted each time.

One minute she realizes no one appreciates her and seeks Abhi's help to take her away, naughty enough to send that cute SMS, bold enough to pull him closer at the park, shy enough at the mention of Mrs. Abhinav Tarneja, with occasional strength to confront Anita, immediate lack of confidence for fear of disapproval and again back to selflessness to put her family first.

So I feel it is ok to see Simi's confession angle too.

mesimi ji,
yes, we all know the wishful twist is an unexplored arena and thats what we are all waiting far.
every other tv serial is stuck in the same formula of having the heroine protrayed as the self-sacrificing mahaan atma who wants to solve all the family problems and the hero, whether he does things for his family or not, but will definitely do things for heroine and her family!!! Heroine even after doing all the things for her family, is still shown crying crying and just crying!
Why can't they have heroines and the heros as the "normal" people?!!!
Like your title, let it not be just that - 'wishful'!!

You know, if I knew what this show was about when I first started watching, I would NEVER have watched it as I cannot stand this type of storyline. I seriously thought this was about a woman who was approaching 30 and struggling to find a husband - a guy that would like her. Her decision to marry RB was understandable, but this oingoing sacrificing is becoming dreadfully boring and dull. This family suffers from serious problems with their short term memory (other than RS); they forget what Simi was prepared to do for them. Simi herself suffers from it as well as does Anita. Simi doesn't realize that if Abhi had not been there she would be married to RB today and Anita, to who knows who!!
If people are going to sacrifice, make it real. For example, Simi working to support her family, Simi with a sick family member or crippled sibling that if she gets married there is no-one to take care of them. Kuch to reason do, all this, I need to help Neetu who is knocked up and has all her plans worked out, and I need to help Anuj who is ready to cheat the whole family is such a bogus reason. Simi is looking at way to be important as she really has no other purpose in life.

This is exactly what I feel right now but hesitated from saying it in my last post. I am thankful I had no clue about the availability of the online episodes in the last 10 yrs and didn't watch the stupid tv serials that came in those yrs and when i caught a glimpse pf this one I thought it held a promise to the viewer but is going in the path of terribly failing in there.

I agree with Laila's point about the possibility of showing real life scenarios where the main protagonist is tied bcos of her responsibilities towards the family and cannot think about herself. The problem that Neetu brought on herself or Anuj's problems or Manju's problems do not really require her to destroy her life!
