I liked Simi's dad's approach so far. He is handling the issue of dealing with his son fairly well. It's easy to accept gifts and start a new life with an easy approach with all the luxuries but once you get used to it you cannot let it go. By telling his son that they have to live within their means and not encourage Anita's entourage of gifts, he is setting a firm but a good example. Way to go!

they living within their limits is ok...but telling his son that his wife should also be following his mother's footsteps is really crazy in today's times............Anuj himself is spineless so definately his Dad has the right to say such things to him......better they should have moved out from the beginning itself but where would that Anuj joru ka ghulam go......he would be happy being a ghar jamai....eww.....

Definitely he would!! But to his woes, his wife didn't suggest that option😉 .. instead she suggests "bank looto ... ya phir kuch aur karo" !!

I disagree with the concept of expecting the daughter-in-law to live with her in-laws. Two women cannot be incharge of one house or one kitchen. It's a mess and it really does not work. Sure we have seen examples here and there but often one person has to give in. I don't think it's fair for Manju to have to give up her house, but I also don't think it is fair to expect that Anita should forgo the lifestyle for which is used too.
Anuj should move out and if he cannot afford it, what's wrong if Anita (or her parents) for that matter help? It happens all the time in the west where parents help the kids out be it on the girl's side or the guy's side. To expect that Anita forfeit is not fair.
I mean, is she supposed to wait until both adult Seethi's croak so she can call the place her own?
