Abhi acting like a kid

OK, I wanted to ask the people on this forum; should the writers protray Abhi as a 12 year kid in order to make him look younger? I don't like this approach at all. I believe that an independent, impulsive, free-spirited, risk taking approach can be protrayed without transgressing to child like behavior.
What I liked about Abhi's character in the beginning was his confidence and assertiveness, his willingness to take risks and his carefree attitude. It contrasted so well with the reserved, shy and proper Simi who believed she could never get a guy.
I think so much can be done with this relationship without resorting to child like behaviors on Abhi's part. I didn't care for his gift of the clown - I thought it was ridiculous. I also was not amused by his clown imitations nor was I impressed with the writer's decision to throw confetti (shredded paper) in the class room. Is this the best the writers can do? Ramas is doing a better job at keeping my interest with her Fanfiction.
Also, what does Simi actually teach? Does she randomly walk in and out of the school to teach class? And where were here students? If she did bunk with Abhi, then where the heck did they go for the day? We didn't see any of it.
The part that was well written was Abhi and Simi's intereaction when she teased him about his age and he threatened to jump on his father's car and announce something (the tape was inaudible at the time).
I really know many of you like some of these scenes that I don't, but these are my views and I am suggesting that the writers could do so much with these characters without making Abhi turn into a 12 year old kid. Also, it does NOT hurt to add some humor into their dialogue - it would add a lot more to the chemistry between them and make it enjoyable to watch. That name calling katboor babootar - what was that? It was embarassing to watch not funny.

Come on Karol Bagh writers, you can do better than all this.

I do agree 100% and I did mention this in my post Abhi the magician let me get link chk it out. https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/25527253 and true he is overdoing it as a kid. But point here is SImi is rejected and dejected at the moment, Abhi felt he hurt her and her family. So he needs to make up doing all this childish act including acting like a clown repeating Raj kappor dialogues from mera Naam joker.
They are showing Abhi in alll colors especially acting like a child to make Simi's character little more outgoing, bubbly, lively.
Abhi wants Simi to have fun enjoy her life think about herself. Abhi wants to wake her up and show her all the colors of life. As she has not expereinced many and she has been sad and overbearing her family burden long enough,
Abhi has gotten complete life sketch of Simi from Anita and he exactly know how to handle her.
I guess some boys /men have that and Abhi is one of them. Abhi is doing this because he truly cares for her deeply and may be he loves her.
So all these childish pranks are just to bring a kid out of SImi which she might have missed always caring for her siblings. He shown his true self resucing Simi several times waking her up from making a big mistake.
That is why I call abhi lil magician.

i think we are being too critical ... their relationship is coming out so beautifully...they are just made for each other...evry relationship has to have a balance...this is just the beginning of theirs so lets give them some time.
am waiting to see their first date... iam sure it will be sensitive and real...he will make her happy after all that she has gone through in life.
by the way i do like the clown...its as sweet as abhi

exactly real Abhi is very mature, sweet, sensitive and caring person who truly loves all the women in his life. like his mom his sister and now Simi. He can not see any of them unhappy and will do anything to make them happy.

I didn't find anything wrong with abhi's behaviour in yesterday's episode. For one thing abhi isn't ALWAYS so childish.😊 I think he was only acting that way because simi was too depressed. Like you said in your post abhi is impulsive. He doesn't think much before doing anything, it's probably the same case in this matter. Maybe abhi didn't even know that he was being overly childish because he was too interested in making simi happy.😉

Hmm.. I thought the clown puppet was cute. The happy clown actually represented the opposite of simi's feelings. I was actually feeling too sorry for simi to analyze the minute details of the episodes so don't mind me.😆 When one is depressed I think even the smallest things can cause them to either break down or feel happy. To simi the clown & the card made her happy because there was at least one person who empathized with her & wanted to see her happy. I think if any one of us were in her shoes we would just feel happy & not give much thought to what the gift is.😊

Of course your points are also valid & I agree with you about the part to add more humour into the dialogues between abhi & simi. On the other hand I personally think that the writers of Karol Bagh are not doing a shoddy job with the abhi-simi scenes, they can do better but what they are doing now isn't bad either.😊
