It's Aamir v/s Harman on Dus Ka Dum

Move over SRK and Big B, because Aamir Khan is now taking over the newbies of the industry. The flip side to our glam industry is the dirty backstabbing and bitching which constantly takes place. And when the actors decide to get friendly, they blame the poor media for stirring the hornet's nest. Good publicity, bad publicity...the mantra is 'to be in the news!'

Every season has its flavor. And the flavor of the month is Imran Khan and Harman Baweja and the titans behind them, Aamir Khan and Harry Baweja. Both the young actors are making a debut on July 4. And the forces behind them have left no stones unturned in ensuring that the publicity surrounding the launches is on the right note.

We had earlier reported on how Aamir sportingly took to the show of Dus Ka Dum with Salman Khan. But a news report in a leading publication that stated Harman was the first choice caught our attention. The report further stated that this did not bode well with the Aamir Khan when he realized that his nephew's presence would be compromised. So Aamir dangled the carrot to the channel, put himself on the platform and Sony was more than willing to take him up on the offer.

An attitude, "Who needs Harman when we can have Aamir?" was clearly the message that came across. Sony's head honcho, Albert Almedia said, "Celebrity shows are always popular and we keep getting calls. And we chose Aamir and Imran Khan to do an episode of Dus Ka Dum with Salman Khan."

But Harman Baweja is all set to make his debut on television on Zee TV's Ek Se Badkar Ek. He clearly seems to be taking the stance, 'I don't care if it's Dus Ka Dum or Ek se Badkar Ek…but I much rather be in a dance reality show!' Both Harman and his lady love, Priyanka Chopra would be gracing the reality show on the eve of the release of their movie, Love Story 2050.

Our week is just about commencing. But already the prospect of the weekend looks interesting. With Harman Baweja's dance moves pitted against the Khan trios, wonder who would walk away with the crown in the cut throat TRP race?
