Rajiv & Maya meet.

Rajiv: Maya, I have a surprise for you.

Maya: Wow. Can I see that?

Rajiv: Of course. But not here. I have booked a grand hotel for you.

Both get into the car and reach the 5-Star Hotel.

Maya: So is this the surprise?

Rajiv: Yes. There are more surprises to come.

Both enter the dining room.

Maya sees the room decorated with flowers.

Rajiv takes out the ring and kneels before Maya.

He asked, "Will you marry me?"

Maya smiles slightly.

At the same time, Arjun comes to the same place to meet the client. He sees them together and gets suspicious. He goes to the place where Rajiv and Maya are spending time.

Maya: Yes, I will marry you.

Rajiv slips the ring to Maya's finger.

Arjun sees that and meets his client.

After the meeting, Arjun goes home sad. The background song is:

Arjun met Prem and said, "I am ready to marry Saanjh."

Prem: I see that you love Maya. Then how did you make this decision?

Arjun: Yes, I love Maya, but she told me that she does not want to hurt Saanjh and her mom. She decided to move on with Rajiv.

Arjun reaches the office.

Prem calls Jhanvi and said, "Good news for you. Arjun has decided to marry Saanjh. Shall we fix the engagement tomorrow?"

Jhanvi: But I need to take the horoscopes to the pundit. I have also decided to get Maya and Rajiv's marriage on the same day.

Prem: Don't worry about that. I will take Saajun's horoscope to the pundit. After that, we will start the rituals.

At the office, Arjun's friends asked, "You love Maya, then how did you decide to marry Saanjh?"

Arjun: I love Maya, but she has refused to marry me. Also, she has decided to marry Rajiv. But I know that she is doing it for her mother. If I were in her place, I would have done the same thing."

Prem called up Jhanvi and said, "Our astrologer checked Arjun and Saanjh's horoscope. Their horoscopes match. Congratulations!"

Jhanvi: Congratulations to you too. Shall we start the rituals?

Prem: Sure.

Jhanvi prepares the engagement ceremony for Saanjh and Maya with Arjun and Rajiv.

The mehendi designers apply mehendi in Saanjh and Maya's hands.

Ashok and Bakshi come out of jail and meet MJ.

MJ: How did you guys come out?

Ashok: Prem bailed us out as he invited us for his son's marriage.

MJ gets a call from his private detective.

MJ: Did you get any information?

Detective: Yes, I got Maya's birth certificate.

MJ: That's great. Send the birth certificate by fax.

After getting Maya's birth certificate, the trio is on the way to Mathur House.

After the engagement ceremony, Maya serves the snacks and drinks to the guests.

One of the ladies said, "Maya is gonna get engaged, but she does a lot of work."

Jhanvi: She is Maya & is fond of serving.

The ladies said, "Very nice name."

The doorbell rings.

Jhanvi opens the door.

She gets shocked to see MJ.

Jhanvi: Come in.

MJ & others enter.

MJ: Do you know Shipra?

Jhanvi: No, I don't know her.

MJ: What is her relationship with Ashwin?

Maya hides & overhears the conversation.

Jhanvi: Let's go up and talk.

Jhanvi, MJ, Ashok, and Bakshi go upstairs.

Maya follows them.

MJ: Ashwin had an illegitimate relationship with Shipra, right?

Jhanvi: I don't want to talk about it?

MJ: Is it true that Maya is the illegitimate daughter?

Jhanvi: It does not make any difference to me. Who are you to ask? Get out of the house.

Ashok: If you talk to us in that tone, it's your loss as Maya's birth certificate Xerox copy clearly says that she is Ashwin's & Shipra's illegitimate daughter. If we tell this to Prem, it will stop your daughter's marriage. What is Saanjh's fault? If you want us to shut our mouth, then give your post to us.

Jhanvi: I don't care what is in the certificate. Please spare me & my daughter.

Bakshi: How can we leave you? We want your position.

Maya enters the room. 

Rajiv follows her.

Ashok: Look, your step-daughter has come.

Maya went straight to them and said, "Do you think that we will give in to your demands? No one can stop saajun wedding."

MJ: This is your birth certificate. It clearly says that Jhanvi is not your mom.

Maya: It is only a piece of paper. Jhanvi is my birth mother.

Jhanvi: Stop it. You are not my daughter and won't be in the future. It is all because of you that I have to bear this. I don't need your help.

Rajiv hears that and gets shocked.

Maya: Mom, please.

Bakshi: She does not accept you as a daughter, yet you call her mom. If it goes up to Sharma House, it will stop Saanjh's wedding. Who would like to give their son to the family? Arjun is modern, but his dad is old-fashioned. Do you think he will agree?

Maya: It will happen. I will tell everything to Prem.

Jhanvi: No, you are not going to do any such thing.

Rajiv: Let her go. We need not budge to them.

Maya goes to Sharma House. 

Jhanvi runs behind her.

Arjun's wedding preparations are taking place.

Maya reaches the place, dashing the waiter.

The function ends.

One of the men went to Maya and asked, "What is the matter?"

Maya: I want to meet Prem uncle.

The man went to Prem and said, "Maya has come. She is very much troubled. Please speak to her."

Prem goes downstairs. 

Arjun follows Prem.

Prem meets Maya & asked, "What's the matter?"

Jhanvi reaches the place.

Maya: Do I lack anything? Why am I problematic to my mom?

Prem: What happened?

Maya: Actually, she is not my mom, but she has given me her name and brought me up as her daughter.

Arjun & Prem get shocked.

Maya: I lost my parents 20 years back. They died because of a car accident. Is it my fault that I am a step-daughter of my mom & step-sister of Saanjh? Are you going to break the relationship after knowing my truth? Am I so useless?

Jhanvi overhears the conversation & gets emotional.

She thinks: She loves me a lot. Is she the same child whom I have never accepted her as a daughter and hated her all my life? It is not her fault for all that had happened. How much she loves us?  Whatever Prem decides, it won't make any difference to me. I only want to hug her.

Prem kisses Maya's forehead.

He said: To get a step-daughter like you, I am ready to forego my 100 daughters.

Jhanvi gets relieved.

Prem: Don't worry. The marriage will happen at any cost. I appreciate the courage that you have. It is not a small thing to confess your truth before the crowd. I'm proud of you. God bless you.

Jhanvi is happy.

Arjun gets teary.

Prem takes Maya to the side & asked, "If you consider me as your father, tell me one thing honestly."

Maya: Yes, ask me.

Prem: Tell me from the bottom of your heart that have you ever loved Arjun?

After some hesitation, Maya said, "No, I have never loved Arjun. Saanjh loves him."

Jhanvi  & Prem get teary.

Prem thinks: How easily has she sacrificed her love for her sister.

Rajiv arrives. 

Maya & Rajiv get into the car.

Maya: I am sorry. I didn't get an opportunity to tell you my truth.

Rajiv: It is not your fault. You got to know it very late. I know you very well. Tell me one thing.

Maya: Yes, you can ask me.

Rajiv: I know that you love Arjun, yet why did you change your decision?

Maya: I don't want to hurt my mom & sister.

Rajiv: I love you a lot and am proud of you. But I want to tell you that marriage is a life-time decision. It unites two souls. As Arjun is your first love, you won't be able to love me in the same way. Saanjh is a great girl, but Arjun won't be happy as it would be tough for him to forget you.

Maya: Once we marry, everything will be fine.

Rajiv: I support you in this decision.

He thinks: If I say that I will talk to Saanjh, then Maya won't allow that. But I have to speak to her. I am sorry, Maya. I won't be able to support you in this regard.

Rajiv drops Maya home.

Maya goes upstairs.
