Chapter 3 – A Marriage of Compromise

Scene 1: Virani Mansion – Tulsi’s Room

The evening sun entered softly through the window. Tulsi sat quietly, holding Mihir’s photograph.

Her eyes were swollen from crying.

Tulsi (whispering):

"Mihir… everyone says you are gone. But my heart refuses to believe it."

She placed her hand on her stomach.

Tulsi:

"Our child… our Gautam… will grow up hearing your stories."

Suddenly Savita enters.

Savita (firm voice):

"Tulsi! How long will you live in the past?"

Tulsi quickly wipes her tears.

Tulsi:

"Maa… Mihir will come back."

Savita becomes emotional but hides it.

Savita:

"Mihir is gone, Tulsi. The world does not stop because someone dies."

She pauses.

Savita:

"You are carrying the Virani heir. You must think about the future."

Tulsi looks confused.

Savita:

"The family has decided… you will marry Anupam."

Tulsi is shocked.

Tulsi:

"What?! Maa… how can you even say that?"

Scene 2: Virani Hall – Family Meeting

All family members sit in the hall.

Mansukh Virani, Savita, Hemant, and others.

Tulsi enters slowly.

Mansukh:

"Tulsi beta, we know this is difficult."

Tulsi:

"Bapuji… Mihir is alive in my heart."

Mansukh:

"But the business is collapsing. Mihir handled everything."

Savita adds sharply:

Savita:

"Anupam Kapadia is Mihir’s closest friend. He has already taken responsibility for the company."

Tulsi realizes what they mean.

Tulsi:

"So this marriage… is just for business?"

Silence fills the room.

Savita:

"It is for the family's future."

Scene 3: Anupam’s Office

Anupam Kapadia stands near the window.

His assistant informs him Tulsi has arrived.

Tulsi enters.

Anupam looks uncomfortable.

Anupam:

"Tulsi… I never wanted this."

Tulsi:

"Then refuse."

Anupam sighs.

Anupam:

"If I refuse, the Virani company will collapse. Hundreds of employees will lose their jobs."

Tulsi looks conflicted.

Anupam continues softly.

Anupam:

"I promise one thing. If this marriage happens… I will never take Mihir’s place."

Tulsi looks at him with tears.

Tulsi:

"Because no one ever can."

Scene 4: Unknown Location – A Mysterious Man

A man lies unconscious in a hospital bed.

His face is covered with bandages.

The doctor speaks to the nurse.

Doctor:

"He survived a terrible accident. But he still hasn't regained his memory."

The camera slowly moves to the man's hand.

The nurse reads the name written on a bracelet recovered with him.

Nurse (softly shocked):

"Mihir… Mihir Virani?"
