Shona.. Shilpa woke with a thudding heart as she recalled the word in her hand.. Shona.. He had called her with the nickname he had given in past.. Did it mean he have finally got back his memory ? The thought sent chills down her spine..
With tears in her eyes she glanced around the room disappointingly.. There was no trace of him.. He must have let the room early.. She thought sadly..
Slowly she got up from the bed, her legs aching with a sweet pain from last night.
She pulled on her nighty when suddenly someone knocked on the door.. Armaan.. She quickly ran to the door and opened it.. Instead of Steve Suzan stood holding Arav who instantly started to cry seeing her..
"Aww baby.. " Shilpa took him from Suzan's hand and held him close.. Arav stopped crying and gave a smile..
"Such a naughty boy.. " Suzan laughed.. "I swear he wasnt crying all this time.. He just started to cry when he saw you only.. "
"I know suzan.. Thank you so much for looking after him.. " Shilpa smiled warmly..
"Dont mention it.. Anyways where is your husband.. " Suzan inquired.. "I hope you both had good time with eachother.. "
Shilpa went scarlet as she tried hard not to blush.. "He went out.. for some important work.. "
"Ohh ok.. Anyways you take care.. I will leave now.. "
Shilpa closed the door with a heavy hurt.. She leaned to the door and whispered.. "Where are you Steve.. "
Steve kept doing push-ups nonstop.. Sweat dripping from his forehead and arms.. He gasped as he felt pain in his arms. But still willed himself not to stop.. How did this happen.. How could this happen with him..
Finally he had enough.. He fell on the ground with a thud.. He let out harsh gasps trying to breath.. His eyes blurred.. His whole body tensed..
Whole one year he was living in a lie...
He was not Steve.. He was...
Armaan Mallik...
He flipped on his back and stared up at the ceiling.. Last night when he touched her, when he finally had her he felt as if a locked door had finally opened within his head.. It burst open and he was at once flooded with the memories.. The accident he had.. The fellow driver who lay in blood.. He himself whimpering in pain..
The voices which rang around him...
"He is now Steve for us... No one should get to know this.. "
Dammit !!! He hit the floor hard with his fist.. How could this happen.. They had changed his all attitude. His behavior.. Infact made him someone who was a criminal.. He closed his eyes which was filled with pain..
Shilpa...
The thought of her chilled his body.. It must have been brave of her to come for him.. To come to this hell.. Hell he couldnt even recognize his own son.. He tried to concentrate on the features of the boy..
How could this happen with him.. How could they become so cruel on him..
Armaan gritted his teeth...
"David.. " He set up glaring at the space.. David was the man behind this.. He had ruined his happy life.. He had made him into a monster which he could never plan to become..
He had to do something... Armaan got up and started to pace around.. He had to get out of this danger.. he had to make sure his wife and child was safe.. He had to make this happen..
Slowly he walked to the window and opened it.. Staring at the deep sea he said...
"Steve is dead.. " He stated angrily.. "I wont spare you David.. Just wait and watch what i do now.. Just wait and watch.. "
"Arav.. Please baby.. Calm down.. " Shilpa tried to calm down Arav who was crying in distress..
She held him close and caressed his head.. "Everything is fine.. dont worry.."
Though Arav settled down Shilpa was not in peace.. It had turned into evening and she still hadnt heard from Steve.. Where was he ? Did he regret spending the night with her...
She brushed away the tears from her eyes.. Please... She prayed... If you could just come to me once...
Armaan gripped Robin's collar hard.. "Tell me where the hell is he.. ?? "
"Stop it Steve.. How many times i have to tell you i dont know.. " Robin spoke irritatedly..
"If you are still not willing to tell.. " Armaan took the gun in his hand.. "I have other ways to make you talk... "
Robin gasped in fear as he planted the gun right on his head.. "Ok i will tell.. Just put it down ! "
He calmly took back the gun.. "Speak ! "
"He is in the casino.. "
Armaan let him go and headed to the door.. Just then Devlin came and stood infront of him.. "Steve.. "
"Move " He muttered angrily
Devlin stepped back with surprise.. "Steve.. Are you alright.. "
Armaan turned back to him in fury.. "I AM NOT STEVE !! DO YOU HEAR ME !!! "
Devlin went still.. His eyes grew wide.. "Omg.. "
Armaan turned away to leave... But Devlin spoke again..
"You got back your memory ! "
Armaan stiffened.. He clenched his fist.. "YES ! Now i can clearly remember what cruel game you people have played with me.. "
"Not me Steve.. " Devlin replied quietly..
"How many times... " He hissed angrily.. "i am not Steve.. My name is Armaan Mallik.. "
"Ok... Armaan.. " Devlin spoke hesitantly... "I am not part of what they did.. And i am not their friend.. "
"David is your brother.. " Armaan argued..
"He is yes.. But you are my friend.. " Devlin replied with a smile.. "You are the one who treated me as a big brother not david.. My loyalty is with you.."
Armaan calmed down at once.. He needed to remind himself Devlin was just a kid. He had no play in this.. His enemy was someone else..
"I have to go.. " He muttered turning around...
"Just remember this Armaan.. " Devlin spoke softly... "I am ready to help you in anyway i can.."
Armaan glanced back and gave a nod.. "Thank you.. "
"David ! Steve is coming here right now.. " Logan interrupted David's game..
"So what.. "
"He looks very much angry.. " Logan quipped softly..
David braced himself and turned to Steve with a big smile.. "Hey Man.. Where were you from last night.. "
Instead of reply Armaan punched him right on his mouth..
David gasped and fell back instantly...
"What the hell !! " David spoke furiously as he stood up.. "Why did you do it!! "
"Dont you think you deserve it.. " Armaan replied bitterly.. "You thought i wont ever recall my past.. "
David stilled at once...
"U mean.. "
"Yes i have got back my memory.. I have got to know i am no STEVE ! "
David gasped seeing the fury in his eyes.. "Wait let me explain.. "
Armaan punched him again sending him back with the blow...
"Your game is over bas***d!!!... I am leaving right now with my family.." He gripped David's collar and whispered angrily.. "Tonight the cruise is stopping in rome.. If you dont wish me to go police you better let me and my family get away from here quietly.. "
He let go fo David and start to walk away... But turned back to see David shaking in fury.. "Try not to come in my way man.. If you do that you wont be alive to return london.. "
David stared at him stunned as he left... "HOW DARE HE !! " He spoke angrily... "How dare he threaten me.. Bloody.. "
"David... What are we going to do now ?? " Logan asked worriedly..
"Whats there to do.. " David spoke calmly.. "Remember what i said.. If he gets back his memory he is going to be dead.. And that is exactly what we will do.. "
Armaan silently crept inside the room.. The room was lightly dimmed.. His eyes went on the figure which lay on the bed sleeping peacefully.. Slowly he walked inside and stood near the bed staring down at her..
His lovely wife... His life..
Armaan blinked back tears from his eyes and turned around.. His eyes rested on the crib which was set in the corner of room.. He slowly walked to his baby.. Who was sleeping in peace.. He stared down at his baby face. One finger tracing on his cheek trying to study his every feature.. With a painful hiss he took the baby in his arms and held him close.. Arav let out a sign and snuggled close to him.. As if trying to get close to him..
He willed himself not to get weak.. He had to be strong for them.. He had to get them out of this hell..
Slowly he dialed his phone and waited..
After five minutes the door opened and Devlin peeked inside..
Armaan went to him and handed sleeping baby.. "Take him fast.. I will bring her.. "
Devlin gave a silent nod and fled away with the baby..
Armaan turned around and went back to the bed.. He set infront of her and stared down at her beautiful face.. Unable to stop himself he bent down and kissed her lips deep and long.. Trying to pour out his love at this one moment.. She let out a sigh but thankfully didint face...
"I am sorry.. " He whispered and covered her with the blanket and carried her out of the room..

Note : hey guys sorry i did update a lil late.. Got little sick due to the whether.. Well i guess some of you might have guessed i am actually bringing the story to an end.. Well it is true i am going to end His soulmate within two chapters.. I wouldnt want to drag the story further since i dont have much ideas left on the story.. Hope you all understand..
