Part 14

1 year 3 Months later :

"We are destined together.. Forever.. Arent we'" She questioned him once again in the darkness.. He felt frustrated once again as like many times he couldn't make out her face..

"Yes' But' Who are you' " He questioned in daze.. He tried to touch her but she kept fading off.. slowly..

"You know me.. " She spoke lovingly' "You heart knows.. "

"Hey ! Wait don't go' " He tried once again.. But she kept fading off as he tried to get closer once again..

"Come back to me.. " She whispered painfully.. "Please come back.. "

"Wait' "

"Comeback to me.. "

"Stop !! "

"Comeback'.. "

Steve work up panting and sweating profusely' He cursed under his breath and cleared his face with a frustrated moan.. The same dream which kept haunting him from last one year had comeback once again. He felt confused and irritated.. Whenever he tried to get closer.. Whenever he tried to touch the mysterious girl she would fade away' "Who the hell are you' " He muttered in anger as he tried to click something in her mind.. Something anything which was in his memory. But no.. Instead his mind was blank like it had been from past one year..

He got up from the bed putting on his jeans.. Turning around he glanced at the mirror reminding himself who he was' "Robin !!! " He barked out as he headed out of his room with a foul mood..

"Yo Steve " Devlin broke into a grin as he saw Steve join them in the living room.. Steve passed a glance at the 17 year old Teenager , David's younger brother who set watching TV lost in his own world.. He loved this kid. He was one person with whom he could hang around without any awkwardness.. The boy understood him more than anyone else.. Though he still couldn't understand why he was in their gang he didn't bother asking anymore.. He liked having Devlin around him..

"Hey kid " He muttered ruffling his hair.. Devlin scowled and brushed off his hand.. "Who are you referring as kid dude.. I am no kid anymore.. "

"Yea yea you are a grown up adult.. " Steve scoffed grinning at him.. Devlin grinned back at him in agreement.. "Exactly' "

"Steve ! " Robin joined them hurriedly' Steve frowned as he studied the middle age bald man infront of him.. Robin , was more of their assistant than friend.. It was easy having him around.. Specially for Steve..

"I need to contact with Phillips.. " He muttered narrowing his gaze.. "And yea inform David I am not into killing. Scaring off this guy for a good is my cup of tea.. "

"Heard and followed.. " David drawled as he and Logon joined them.. Steve glanced at the two man who smiled broadly at him.. It was good, they were good friends to him.. But deep inside he didn't knew why but he felt as if David and Logan was more of enemy to him.. He couldn't much get along with them. He was more better of with Devlin and Robin..

"And here comes the two heroes.. " Devlin joked sparing a glance at his brother.. "Hello big Brother.. "

"Devlin.. " It didn't go unnoticed to Steve the way David's face softened seeing his small brother.. He felt the same way about him.. He interrupted their talks' "David.. I am not into killing.. "

"Who says we are going to Kill Phillips.. " David spoke innocently.. "We just need to scare of him.. Scare of him for a good.. "

"I like Steve in this group.. " Devlin remarked.. "He does know killing.. But god knows how all this people are always scared of him' As if he is like some devil.. "

Steve grinned at Devlin while David narrowed his eyes at him..

"Your forgetting its our prime motive " David huffed..

"Killing does no good.. "Steve spoke calmly.. "I am no good in it.. "

"But.. " David tried to protest when Steve interrupted him smoothly'

"You still need me.. " Steve grinned devilishly' "I am good at showing people how seriously I take my threats.. It does get up good deal of Money.. "

David warily studied him and smiled.. "Exactly Dude.. " And then he drawled.. "What would we have done without you' Steve.. "

"No ! You sit straight.. Yes like a good boy.. " Shilpa instructed the infant who set on the bed staring at her in wonder.. She smiled and kissed his chubby baby cheeks.. "My my Arav' Arent you growing up.. You are now three months old baby" She spoke in wonder as she stared down at her beautiful baby.. He grinned at her as if understanding her words.. Her eyes grew misty as she noticed the dimple form on his left cheek, reminding her of someone'

"Ohh " She spoke sniffing slightly.. "You look just like your daddy' " Why Armaan.. Why did you go.. You promised to stay always.. She thought painfully.. Its so hard for me to live.. But I have to.. For Arav.. Our Baby'

Arav studied her with a curious look trying to understand her sadness.. Shilpa hurriedly cleared her tears.. She always tried to stay happy infront of Arav.. It always saddened him whenever he saw he cry.. So eventhough it broke her heart she would always control her feelings infront of him.. NO matter how much Arav resembled to his father..

"We are late !! We should get going now.. " Shilpa spoke putting him in the small baby cot.. He shrieked happily understanding they were going out.. Shilpa smiled happily and headed downstairs carrying him..

"Hey mom.. Dad.. " Shilpa greeted them happily as she joined them.. Veena and Balraj smiled happily seeing her.. As Arav noticed his grandparents his face lit up happily'

"Oh see my boy is looking so handsome today.. " She spoke staring down at Arav with a content smile' Balraj studied him in wonder and gave a smile..

"We are going to meet Suzi.. Arent we Arav' " Shilpa spoke hurriedly.. "Mom I have to leave now bye.."

She bid them bye and headed outside smiling.. "Lets go Arav we don't want to be late.. "

"Steve " Phillips spoke nervously' "Dude just let me go.. I swear I wont bother any of you.. "

Steve stretched himself in the cozy chair and ran his gaze around the casino club.. He looked back at Phillips with a lazy smile.. "Too Late man.. You have interfered and Now.. " He straightened up staring at him intently.. "You are going to pay for it.. "

Phillips shifted uncomfortably and tried to leave.. But he set back again as Steve threw a threatening look.. "Don't even think of it man.. If you leave we will track you down.. And after that whatever happens with you.. "

"Ok stop ! " Phillips spoke quickly.. "I will pay back the money.. Within a month.. Just give me a month."

"A month " Steve drawled thoughtfully.. He leaned back to his chair and decided.. "Ok fine.. I give you a month.. Pay back whatever you have taken from us.. And then we let you be in peace.. "

"And.. What if I cant pay' " Phillips stammered in fear'

A cunning smile formed on Steve's lips.. "Then we will show you where hell is.. "

"Suzi !! " Shilpa spoke happily as she hugged her old time friend.. "Shilpa " Suzy grinned back at her as they took their seats in the corner table' Shilpa kept Arav's cot on the chair beside and studied him while he slept peacefully.. Suzy leaned to him in awe.. "Just see my baby cake is so beautiful.. " And then she pouted.. " So much of excitement that he fell asleep "

Shilpa laughed glancing a look at her boy.. "You know Arav.. He gets tired easily.. And ofcourse he will sleep he is just 3 months old yet.. "

Suzy smiled at her but sobered seeing Shilpa stare at her son with a longing look.. She sighed and pressed her hand.. "Shilpa.. You miss him right.. "

"Too much " Shilpa agreed sadly.. "Its like he is always around me.. Arav looks like him so much.. I cant help.. "

Suzy nodded in agreement and tried to divert her attention.. "Shilpa guess what. Raj called me last night.. " She grinned like a sixteen year old teenager.. "He said sorry and even brought me flowers today.. "

Shilpa shook her head in wonder.. Still not being able to believe Raj and Suzi were dating.. But she had a idea they would match when she had introduced them to eachother in a party.. Shilpa smiled at her friend.. "That's so good.. And give a hell of time to Raj.. "

"I will " Suzi agreed grinning happily..

Soon they busied themselves in lunch and gossip.. Shilpa laughed when suddenly she felt a tap on her shoulder.. She turned around and smiled widely getting up.. "Sameer !! " She hugged him as he hugged her back warmly.. "What a pleasant surprise.. SO glad to see you here.. "

"Hey Shilpa.. Hey Suzy.. " Sameer greeted them both with a smile'

"What are you' " Her smile faded off as she noticed Seema who stood behind him.. A tension formed between them as they stared at eachother awkwardly.. Seema came towards her hesitantly and greeted her kissing her cheek.. "Hello Shilpa.. "

Shilpa gave a polite smile.. "Hi Seema.. How are you.. "

"Fine.. " She spoke and spared a glance at the baby.. " He is beautiful.. "

"Thank you.. " Shilpa mumbled glancing back at Arav' Sameer stepped forward and studied the baby.. "Hello Junior Armaan' "

Shilpa actually flinched at his words while Suzy shifted uncomfortably.. Seema understood her pain but stepped back knowing it wasn't her place to share the pain.. Sameer glanced at Shilpa with a guilty look.. "I am sorry.. It just came out of my mouth.. "

Shilpa gave him a wobbly smile.. "You said the truth.. Arav looks just like his daddy.. "

Sameer sighed and took Shilpa's hand.. "Shilpa if ever I have hurt you I am really sorry.. "

Shilpa understood what Sameer was referring to.. She knew he was pointing out to the fact he was dating Seema.. Going to Marry her.. Shilpa knew she had to let go the matter and forgive her.. And forget the past..

"Its ok Sameer.. " Shilpa spoke sincerely.. " I have no problem.. Stop feeling guilty everytime.. "

Sameer was convinced.. Beside them Seema listened to their talks in tears.. She took a step back and hurried away silently.. Sameer noticed her leave and winced.. He glanced back at Shilpa and pressed her hand.. "I will leave now.. Bye.. "

"Bye Sameer.. " Shilpa whispered as she noticed Sameer run after Seema'

"What the hell !! " Steve shouted as he joined Devlin who set in far corner along with two girls , a beer in his hand.. He rushed to him and sent away the girl, took the drink from his hand and poured to the floor..

"Damn you Steve ! " Devlin complained angrily.. "I was just having some fun.. "

"Fun my foot.. " He stabbed a finger a Devlin.. "You aren't allowed to drink until you are 18"

Beside them David chuckled while Logan and Robin stared at them amused.. Devlin made a face and complained again.. "Atleast you could have let the girls be with me. I wanted to have some fun.. "

"Yea right.. Fun.. " Steve spoke sarcastically giving a warning glance to Devlin who grew silent at once..

"Fun reminds me.. " David muttered' "I need to have some fun tonight.. Now where is my girl for tonight.. "

Steve rolled his eyes and set back in the sofa playing with his whiskey.. Devlin studied him quietly and spoke.. "For a change Steve , why don't you take some girl with you tonight.. "

"NO ! " He spoke with a hardened expression.. That reminded him of one drunken night' Being manipulated by David he had dragged a girl along with him.. But when he entered the room he stared to feel suffocated.. A uneasiness started to crawl inside him warning him off every single second.. The girl who came to his dreams her voice haunted him.. At last he had sent off the girl and got into bed alone.. And dreamed again about the girl.. Since then he hadn't bothered with doing a fling with anyone..

"Steve seems to be celibate.. " Logan drawled jokingly.. "Looks like he have sworn off girls.. "

Robin chuckled as David pressed him.. " Come on Dude.. For a change why not take one tonight.. "

Exactly why not.. One part of his mind asked.. And the next part protested instantly.. Because a girl will haunt your mind through out a night..

Devlin studied him again and spoke.. "Steve cant do it man.. The girl will haunt him to the death if he does right' The girl who comes to his dreams. "

"Devlin.. " Steve warned him off and took him by collar' "Lets go to the bar.. You and Me.. "

"Sure " He grinned and followed Steve to downstairs..

David studied them leave in silence.. Beside him Logan shifted and questioned.. "David.. What do you think.. Who is this girl haunting Steve.. "

"Must be some lover. " Robin suggested them..

"Whatever " David muttered taking a swig from his cigarette.. " As long as he is Steve.. No women from past will come close to him.. We wont let.. "

Logan rubbed his chin thoughtfully and asked.. "And what if he gains back his memory.. "

"Then we wont have much choice do we.. " David stretched to his chair and sneered.. "We will kill him.."

"Come on Steve.. You know I didn't lie back there right.. " Devlin spoke sitting beside him.. "The girl haunts you always.. I wonder who she is.. Is she pretty.. "

"I don't know.. " Steve shrugged his shoulders.. "I cant say.. I never saw her face.. " he let out a ragged breath.. "I just hear her pleading voice.. "

"What does she say.. " Devlin asked curiously'

"Comeback to me.. " He mummered' "Whatever I don't care.. " He spoke gritting his teeth..

Devlin patted on his back.. "Let it go and who knows.. Maybe she would come running to you oneday.. And you will get to know who this women is.. "

Steve thought over it and drawled taking a sip from his drink.. "Exactly' Who knows.. "
