Chapter 15

"I cant believe I am taking you to shopping " Raj muttered as he followed Shilpa inside the shopping mall. Shilpa giggled "Oh come on Raj. I would have asked Suzi but she is busy today. And you are such a good friend I knew you wont say no.. "

Raj rolled his eyes and pointed out.. "Seriously Shopping ??? We could have gone to a romantic date instead.. Imagine Armaan fume in this news... " He grinned

Shilpa narrowed her eyes at him.. "I spoke to Armaan today only. He is anyways not happy I am taking you with me for Shopping.. "

"Wohooo… " Shilpa chuckled seeing him celebrate… "Why are you waiting.. Lets go we have got to irritate Armaan for the best. "

"I should have asked Sameer to come along with me.. " She complained and while he laughed…

"Sir " Sameer glanced up as his assistant hurried inside his cabin.. "Yes Pam.. " Sameer asked quietly as she placed few files in his desk.. "Ms.Seema is here to see you.. "

Sameer frowned glancing at his schedule.. What was Seema doing here.. "Does she have a appointment with me today.. "

Pam spoke nervously.. "No sir… But she says its urgent she needs to see you today itself.. "

Sameer frowned more and gave a thought on it.. Finally he shrugged.. "Let her come.. "

Sameer straightened up as Seema walked inside his office.. He could cleary see the hesitance within her as she took seat infront of him nervously..

"Ms.Seema " He drawled softly.. "What brings you here.. "

She glanced at him.. Their eyes locked for a while which brought a sudden attraction between them. Sameer looked away instantly feeling uncomfortable with the strange feeling..

"Hello Mr.Sameer " Seema spoke politely.. "Actually I am here on behalf of our orphanage. Mrs.Seth is holding a charity function for the kids. She would love if you could make it to the function.. "

He took the card from her and studied it for a while.. "I will try my best.. " He promised.. Placing it on his drawer he glanced back at her curiously.. "I know I have no right to ask this but… how did you land with this disable kids.. I mean a job in orphanage.. "

She gave a sunny smile which made her look beautiful. He studied her quietly as she spoke.. "I realized I need to do something worth enough in my life. Something precious which would always make me happy and proud of myself.. " She sobered instantly.. "There are few things in past I have done, which I am not proud of.. "

Sameer felt a satisfaction noticing how badly she was regretting her past actions.. He gave her a smile which surely surprised her.. "No human is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes. But if you regret ur mistakes that makes you a good person.. "

She stared at him intently as her eyes grew misty.. "God knows how badly I am regretting whatever bad I have done to Shilpa.. I wish someday I can gain enough courage to face her , and plead for forgiveness."

He regarded her happily hearing the sincerity in her voice.. Without thinking he held her hand and pressed it comfortingly… Seema glanced at him surprised with his gesture.. " I am sure someday she will forgive you.. "

Few days later :

Shilpa leaned to the door tiredly as she rubbed her stomach wishing the nausea feeling would pass away soon.. That's when she realized she had been feeling this sickness from past few days.. A giddy feeling came inside her as she thought of the chances of her being pregnant.. Maybe she could go to the doctor and clarify.. She rushes downstairs quickly when she suddenly bumped to Balraj..

"Sorry…. Dad " She spoke carefully giving him a sheepish smile.. Balraj raised his eyebrow and glanced at her amused.. "You seem to be in hurry.. "

"Ohh I was just… " She stopped lamely as she grew relaxed seeing him comfortable with her.. "I thought I will get ready and go to doctor.. "

He shot a worried look at her as Veena joined them.. "You look Pale.. Are you fine.. How long have you been sick.. "

Both Veena and Shilpa stared at him in shock seeing him so worried.. Balraj grew uncomfortable and glanced away clearing his throat.. Veena smiled secretly and glanced at Shilpa.. "Shilpa you really look sick. I think we should go and visit a doctor... "

Balraj gave a abrupt nod and spoke tightly… "Take her to the doctor Veena and inform me when you are done.. "

Shilpa smiled widely as he walked away from them.. Veena tugged her hand once again gaining her attention.. "We need to go to Doctor.. "

"Yes Mom " She grinned as Veena rolled her eyes..

Armaan shook his head as irritation took over him once again.. "Do it correct guys and make sure you don't do any damage this time.. "

The workers nodded obediently.. Armaan hurried out of his office as tiredness took over him.. He had been working so hard since past few days and there was hardly any progress in the work… He just wished he could do more than half of it before he bring Shilpa to him…

Armaan got inside his car and started the engine.. He studied the sky noticing it was now growing dark. He surely needed a hot shower and food so he could throw away some tiredness.. In silence he started to drive back to his home when suddenly his phone rang… He frowned and took the plug to his ear.. "Hello.. "

"Armaan " Shilpa sniffed speaking in a soft voice.. He grew alarmed hearing her cry.. "Shilpa !! Whats wrong baby… Why are you crying… "

She giggled softly which relaxed him for a while.. "And here I thought you have some serious problem.." He scolded her softly… Shilpa protested instantly… "I have a serious problem Armaan.. I … I don't know how to say this to you.. "

He smiled hearing her voice grow shy suddenly.. He wondered what she was going to tell him.. "Now you are really playing with my patience. Shilpa tell me.. "

"I donno "

"You don't know ? Ok I am calling mom.. "

"No !! Wait I will tell you.. "

"Yes now tell me as a good girl.. "

"I am pregnant.. " She blurted out blushing profusely… She bit her lip waiting for his reaction…

"What !!! " He swore and put on the brake halting the car on the side of the road trying to absorb the news..

On the other side :

"Shut up you bas***d.. " Steve spoke angrily… "I just cameback to London. And you seriously expect me to come and meet you now.. "

"Yes I do " The man spoke from the other end… "Give a thought on it Steve.. Come and meet us or the deal is over.. "

"You arrogant foolish man.. " He swore under his breath.. "Ok fine.. I am now rushing back to your office.. I will meet you within fifteen minutes.. "

"That's better " The man laughed and hanged up.

"Better my foot.. " Steve muttered as he started to drive in full speed…

"I don't know what to say… "Armaan mumbled feeling numb in happiness.. "Shilpa.. I am so happy.. "

Shilpa laughed softly hearing him so shocked.. "I know how you feel Armaan.. Even I am stunned.. "

"Didn't I say you will be pregnant.. " He spoke happily grinning widely… "Oh darling we are having a baby… "

She laughed once again hearing him so elated.. And then she sobered slight… "I wish you were here Armaan.. To share the news with me.. We should be celebrating.. " She sniffed… "I wish I was there with you right now. "

Armaan himself sobered and thought over her comment.. His face grew determined as he spoke instantly… "Shilpa !! I m right now arranging a flight ticket for you.. Pack your clothes and wait for my call.. "

"Ohh Armaan ! " She beamed happily… "I will pack right away.. I cant wait to see you "

"Even I can wait anymore baby.. " He spoke lovingly… "Now that you are pregnant I don't wish you spend even a minute away from you.. I love you Shilpa.. "

"I love you Armaan.. " She spoke crying softly and cut the call.. Laughing she ran to the closet and got her suitcase staring to pack..

Armaan increased his speed as he started to hurry back home.. He had spoken and arranged the ticket of next flight for her to come london.. Which meant he had to reach home and arrange everything fast before she would reach here… He smiled happily as he realized he was going to be a father.. She was having his baby.. That reminded him of how long they had been waiting for this happiness.. Lost in his thoughts he drove when suddenly a light flashed infront of his eyes.. He cursed and got control of his car as he noticed the car coming towards him…

Steve swore as he lost control on his car.. The light flashed infront of his eyes as he tried to put on break. He swore once again as his car hit the one which came towards his uncontrollable..

"Please no… " Armaan prayed in his heart as he tried to gain back the control once again… But he couldn't.. He couldn't stop his car from hitting the one infront of his.. He closed his eyes when suddenly both car's rolled and…

Armaan tried to move but he felt numb in pain.. He opened his eyes to see blood all over him as he lay on the road helpless… Beside him he heard a whimper and he realized it must be the driver of the other car.. He couldn't move.. He couldn't even keep his eyes open.. He started to faze out into unconsciousness… Infront of his eyes flashed Shilpa's face.. His baby, his parents, his friends.. All the memories rushed infront of his eyes as if he was going to loose them… He whimpered on the thought…Before his eyes fully closed he mumbled her name in pain… "Shilpa… "

"Armaan " Shilpa whispered his name uneasily as she stared down at her packed bag.. She didn't knew why but suddenly she was feeling a strange uneasiness inside her.. As if something was wrong.. As if something terrible had happened. She closed her eyes and tried to block away the negative thoughts.. She tried to smile when Veena rushed inside her room.. "All packed ? "

Shilpa smiled widely and nodded.. "Yes mom.. I am now waiting for Armaan to call me.. "

Three man stood infront of the two who lay on the road injured.."Thankgod we are here before police.." David spoke… "Check on that guy while I do on Steve.. "

He knelt infront of Steve and checked his pulse… "Shit man ! Steve is head.. "

"What !!! " Robin gave a horrified look… "Steve is dead ?? Omg.. "

Logan was quiet for a while and then he spoke "Guys.. This man is still alive.. I guess just unconscious.. "

David glanced at him with a grim expression… He thought for a while and stood up when they heard police siren from little far.. He cursed and spoke quickly.. "We will take Steve with us.. We cant let police find his body.. They will instantly know who he is.. "

"But what about this man.. "Robin questioned.. Three of them stared down at the man who lay unconscious… A cunning smile formed on David's lips as he ordered them.. "Take him also along with us.. "

"But.. " Logan tried to protest when David glared at him which silenced him instantly…

"We take him with us. " David spoke firmly… "And then we will decided what to do with this stranger.. "

After an Hour :

Shilpa rushed downstairs carrying her bag when she noticed everyone sitting the living room silently…. She noticed Raj and Sameer with ashen faces while Veena cried softly… Balraj set far with a shocked look on his face.. This wasn't good.. Shilpa knew as she joined them nervously..

"Whats wrong.. " She asked nervously as all of them glanced at her sadly.. Sameer stood up and walked to her.. "Shilpa. We have to tell you something… "

Shilpa shook her head.. "I don't have time Sameer.. Armaan will call me in a while.. "

Veena broke into more tears which started to worry Shilpa… "Why is she crying… ? " She glanced at Sameer with a thudding heart.. "Whats wrong Sameer.. "

Sameer shook his head as he glanced at her sadly.. Shilpa felt more uneasy … "Sameer please… tell me whats wrong… "

Raj joined them and placed a hand on Sameer's shoulder supportively… He also glanced at her with the same grim expression which scared her.. This wasn't good.. "Tell me !!! "

"Shilpa.. " Sameer began sadly.. "Armaan have been in a accident.. "

Shilpa shook her head as tears formed in her eyes. She braced for the terrible thing to hear. "No Please… No !! "

"Shilpa.. " He spoke again.. "It was a terrible accident.. Two cars collided… " His voice faded off as she sank into the floor sobbing…

"No !! " She held Sameer's leg crying… "Please tell me you are lying… Please tell me it's a joke.. "

Sameer stared down at her as his own eyes grew misty.. He swore and turned away as Raj knelt infront of her.. Shilpa glanced at Veena who was crying miserably while Balraj was in shock… "Raj " She glanced at him and held his hand.. "Tell me this is not true. "

"I am so sorry Shilpa " He croaked.. "We don't even know where his body is.. It was a terrible accident.. Police didn't even find his body yet.. "

Shilpa whimpered as tears fell from her eyes. Suddenly she felt all numb she tried to think of him… Armaan.. No longer in her life.. No longer there to see their baby. She couldn't even imagine it…

She fell on the floor crying badly… "He is coming to get me.. " She sobbed "He promised to come for me.. He cant lie !!! Armaan is not dead. !! "

Raj himself was in tears but held her..Shilpa cried for a long time.. But as she grew tired slowly she started to fade in unconsciousness.. "Armaan is not dead. " She mumbled… "Armaan isint dead.. "

"Damn !!! " Armaan cursed and he blinked and opened his eyes.. He studied the surrounding in daze.. He tried to sit up when someone pushed him to lie back again…

"David !! " The men beside him called someone..

"What Robin.. " Armaan stared at the men who came towards them. Who was he.. Who are these people..

"He is gaining consciousness.. "Robin spoke quickly..

"Be careful David… "Logan whispered warningly.. David gave a nod and set beside the man who stared at him frowning..

"Who are you.. ? " He asked gently…

Armaan frowned further as he closed his eyes trying to think.. Who was he ? He tried to find answers within his head… But it came out all… Blank…

"I don't know.." He mumbled as he stared around.. Damn he couldn't remember his own name or where he had come from.. What was this place.. And what were they doing here..

"What you mean you don't know " David demanded…

"I don't remember a damn thing… " Armaan croaked as he winced in pain… "Who I am… Where I came from.. What this place is.. I don't know a thing.. " He mumbled frustratedly…The men stared at him in shock for a while… David studied him while he tried to absorb the truth.. Suddenly his mind started to race with a plan.. Steve was dead.. This men was alive.. And he had no memory.. Surely he could come with a good plan.

"Can you tell me who I am.. " Armaan asked suddenly growing tired.. He tried to think but his memories were blank.. He couldn't recall a thing…

David gave a sly smile and held his head as he stared down in his eyes intently.. Robin and Logan exchanged confused looks as David spoke softly…. "Its nothing to worry.. We will help you.. "

"And yes.. Welcome back.. STEVE…. "
