It's No Cupboard Love

Prarthana was hesitant to enter into Shivansh room she lurked around for some minutes before pushing the door open. She found herself smiling stupidly at his enlarged picture.

Gosh Prarthana what are you doing? He is not your real fiance and he is Raunak's brother " she told herself turning to leave when her eyes directed to the half opened cupboard, as she went forward to close it, some coloured letters fell off , picking them she saw a name on it

"Why are you with my things?" Shivansh voice was cold she could feel he was annoyed . In fear she dropped the letters closing the cupboard

What are you doing here? Didn't I tell you clearly not to ever enter my room ?"

Prarthana had already started moving back as he came closer, he prowled like someone who wanted to eat her , she was now resting her back on the cupboard gulping down fear.

He was so close to her that she was sure he could hear her heart race . His stern looking face suddenly softened as he raised her jaw with his finger, she couldn't make do of the expression he had on his face.

Why can't I stay mad at you ? , I always find myself thinking about you eversince our first meeting " this words were in his mouth but he didn't utter it out

Prarthana was already pleading for her life "I am sorry" she repeated multiple times that it brought Shivansh back to reality

Can you shut up, gosh " Shivansh said angrily, the vase might have found them noisy it suddenly fell off the table breaking into pieces

Shivansh! , Prarthana! Are you alright what's the noise " Agni said

They looked alarmingly at each other as if chiding themselves that because of their voices grandma was now coming to check what happened. Shivansh swiftly pull Prarthana's waist into his arms signalling her to place her hands around his neck which she compiled instantly .

Oh !, did I disturb you again? " Agni was stifling in her smile

No grandma we are not really doing anything " Shivansh pretentiously pull a sad face as Prarthana leaves him

Seems like you are the only one thinking I am not intruding someone is hurt, I should leave "

Don't grandma I mean let me go with you" Prarthana said trying to hold Agni, however Shivansh had pulled her into his arms smiling and waving at Agni who wink at him shutting the door.

Leave me, didn't I tell you not to touch me you have been touching me like you own me"

Scoff "you ? ,I had rather own a dog than own you , atleast it would be obedient, all you do is break rules wait a minute are you trying to seduce me that's why you came to my room? Let me warn you I am already taken and you are in for a heart break

Yes , you are already taken by me and yes I came to seduce you after all there is no ugly duckling like Shivansh in this world and you know what I love ducks that's why I fancy you " she smiled triumphantly

Tomorrow is Piya's birthday ,she was my friend and every year I write to her on her birthday"

Shivansh gently place Agni's leg on his lap massaging it

The following day Prarthana was already at Agni's house unknown to her Shivansh had been eagerly waiting for her . She entered the kitchen picking up Raunak's call they talked for some minutes which truly got Shivansh annoyed and jealous.

After she had ended the call, she took a cup of coffee to him but he angrily walk away

I want your love , your care , your romance " they stood silently for a while both equally shy , nervous and confused. Those words came out of Prarthana's mouth just to tease him but it felt like she meant them .

Erm grandma I was doing something in the kitchen " Prarthana quickly take back her hand walking to the kitchen , she was rubbing her cheeks profusely" why did you say that? What's wrong with you? , Gayu is right I am changing and it's for the worst"

Prarthana was in cloud nine she didn't care if his grandmother was outside or not she is happy he gave her roses and apologized too . After they baked the cake they both went to the garden with it .

Shivansh narrated everything to Prarthana and how he met Piya, they were just kids she came with her family to Delhi for a holiday which didn't quite go as planned so his father invited the Malhotras to their house , that's when Piya saw him ,he was rude to her at first but later warmed up to her , she was a talkative but very fearless . When his step mum would hit him she would yell at him for not speaking up , she got help from her mum Purvi and that's when all his torture ended . Purvi reprimanded Harleen and shunned her .

Piya didn't stop there she found out about grandma and made her take me away and that's when I started living with grandma, she was such a petite girl just like you , my Piya was just nine , their holiday ended and she had to go back with her family ". Shivansh smiled touching Prarthana's hand "I was to marry her our families agreed to betroth us but she left me and now I am stuck with someone like you "

Prarthana saw through his teasing he was deeply hurt " I will ignore your words today because Piya wouldn't want to see me kill you ?"

Prarthana smiled screaming into the sky " Piya I know you cared about him and even fought for him , thank you , Piya!, I don't know you but your friend here ..... She heard a whimper and looked at Shivansh who had been crying all along

Shivansh! Don't cry " Prarthana held him by the shoulder like someone trying to rock a child to sleep " please don't cry "

I didn't even get to know of her death up until five years ago, I didn't know, " he cried more hugging Prarthana

Prarthana went home thinking about Shivansh all through, she slept sadly.

Prarthana and Agni laughed beatifically as they danced for a while , then a knock got them surprised , Prarthana went closer and opened the door , Agni stood up in shock asking the person

What are you doing here?"

Prarthana looked at the man , he seemed familiar like she have seen him before

He had come with the intention of.asking Agni to make Shivansh understand why he needs to marry Poonam speedily but Instead got a shock without wasting a second he had sprang up and was out of the house .
