Shyam's plan went choppat because the ether evaporated and now he was stewing by himself. Anjali went about happily preparing the havan as the Gupta parivaar came in to RM. NK and Nani were there to welcome them.

Arnav looked on from the second floor. Khushi was wearing yet another Anarkali dress. It was a good change from her pom pom costumes, but he still didn't like it. It covered too much. At least she let her hair down. Khushi was taking his tip seriously (he smiled to himself).

NK: Khushi ji you are looking like a million bucks.

KKG: Why? Why should I look like money Naneji?

NK smiled: Nahi. It just means that you are looking very nice.

Arnav thinking: Guess it is a good thing she covers so much.

KKG: Oh...shukriya.

She looked around the house to see if Arnav was around to admire her too. When her eyes finally landed on him she wished she hadn't looked. There he was with his eyebrows raised, smirk and dimple in company.

He knew! He knew I was looking for him.

She narrowed her eyes at him and huffed around, concentrating hard on the havan preparation.

Naniji noticed them both exchanging arguments with their eyes and smiled to herself. These two would make good entertainment for her when Khushi finally came to RM as her Bari Bahu, she thought. She began planning her scheme.

KKG to Anjali: May I help you with anything Anjaliji?

Anjali: Oh...actually Khushiji, I need some more ghee for the fire. It's in the kitchen. Will you be so kind?

KKG: Of course Anjaliji. I will be right back! (She skipped away).

Khushi was in the kitchen looking around for the pot of ghee when her dhak dhak started again.

Arnav: What's cooking Khushi?

KKG: Nothing.

Arnav: May I help you with it?

KKG: No thank you!

Arnav smirked: Have it your way.

He grabbed her dupatta and pulled it off her before she even noticed. Then he took both her hands and tied them together tightly. KKG stared back in shock. Did this just happen to her!? Her hands were tied behind her and Arnav Singh Raizada was standing right in front of her admiring his handiwork.

KKG sputtered: What...What are you doing!? Someone will come see us!

Arnav smiled lazily: So?

KKG: So!? So this, you can't do this to me! Our entire family is present.

Arnav: So you are not bothered by me doing it, you are bothered that there are people around.

KKG: Shut up and let me go!

Arnav folded his hands on his chest: Not before you say sorry.

KKG: Whatever for!?

Arnav: I just offered to help you and you rejected it.

KKG rolled her eyes: You are completely mad. Untie me at once!

Arnav: No.

KKG was breathing hard now, frightened beyond belief at the thought of someone walking into the kitchen and seeing the two of them arguing in this state.

Arnav touching his chin: You know Khushi, I rather like this Anarkali look of yours. I love how the empire waist band starts all the way up here...(he skimmed his fingers over her band).

Khushi jerked when she felt his touch: Stop! Stop please.

Arnav skimmed his hands over her: The fabric is also very nice. It molds to your body very well. You know, being in the fashion industry, it is my business to notice such things.

Khushi trembled. She has never been touched like this by a man and this simple touch awakened unexplored feelings in her.

Arnav's hands traveled down to her waist and he held her from both sides, admiring how tiny she was.

Khushi's forehead pressed against his chest for support. Her long hair cascaded around her head, on him.

Khushi: Arnavji please...

He stopped her from speaking by taking her mouth with a kiss.

Arnav's voice was hoarse now. He couldn't believe such an innocent act could rouse him so much: Please what Khushi? Do you really want me to stop?

Before he knew what hit him, Khushi had twisted her hands from her dupatta and pushed him back. It was her turn to smirk now, though her eyes betrayed conflicting emotions.

KKG: Yes. And no I am not going to say sorry.

She grabbed the ghee pot and left the room. Arnav sighed.

Later that evening...

Arnav cornered her again, this time in his room. He locked the door to make sure she couldn't escape him this time.

KKG's heart jumped to her throat. But as much as she would like to attribute it to fear, it was something more like excitement. She tried to go past but he took both her hands and pinned her against the wall.

Arnav's eyes were burning: You won't escape me now little KKG.

KKG looked back defiantly: You are going to be in major trouble if Naniji comes by.

Arnav: Oh I don't think I have anything to worry about. Naniji knows how I am. But it might not be quiet as good for you.

KKG: Perhaps not, but she knows I am not characterless.

Arnav saw red: You are suggesting I am?

KKG looked away: I didn't say anything. You said that Naniji knows how you are. Afterall, she knows how you see women. But I am not easy Arnav Singh Raizada.

Stabbed, Arnav let go of her hands: Why don't you just take a knife and just have a go at me Khushi?

KKG felt a twinge of regret: I won't be treated like this.

Arnav: I have never seen another woman like I see you Khushi. Do you feel disgust when I touch you? Why do you not see the difference?

KKG: Because you never told me otherwise.

Arnav: Fine. You want to hear it? I love you. I love you and I have never loved any other. I respect you and I would never take advantage of you. Happy now?

KKG: High time you admitted it.

Arnav was breathing fire now: That is your response.

KKG: Yes.

Arnav: You have nothing more to say to me?

KKG smiled to herself but played along: Not at present, no.

Arnav: Are you going to play with my heart now Khushi, because you think I deserve nothing better?

KKG: Yes. You have broken your fair share of hearts, you can't deny me my turn.

Arnav took a step back: Go ahead then, I grant you that power over me. That's my price for loving you.

KKG felt regret and her heart was overflowing with love. Her proud lion-like ASR admitted defeat. It must have taken so much pride.
