They move to go to restaurant as it's getting dark. Looking at Khushi, Arnav for a while forgets he is angry with Khushi as her face glows under the moon light and enjoys the food with her. He secretly holds her hand under the table and teases her. All enjoy the dinner talking and teasing around.
Arhi's room...
Khushi: thank you Arnavji..thank you so much for taking us out today..it was really fun.
Arnav: smiles and kisses on her forehead.
Khushi: and Arnavji..di..did you see di was really very happy today.
Listening to this, Arnav remembers Khushi and Anjali's talk. He gets angry thinking how can Khushi ask his di to work.
Arnav: in angry tone...Khushi how dare you to ask something like this to di?
Khushi: but Arnavji...
Arnav: Khushi, don't you know she is my sister, Anjali Singh Raizada..Then how can you ask her to work?
Khushi: Arnavji..I asked her because...
Arnav: cutting her in..dare you Khushi to say anything..I know what you mean..I think you don't like the fact that she is living here in her brother's house. Actually, you are jealous of her that everyone cares for her and love her so much. You are jealous that I give her importance more than anyone else,. You are jealous of her that everyone does whatever she asks to do. You are jealous that she is so close to me and that's why you are trying to send her away by making her work, so that you can come more close to me..right??
Arnav was so angry that he forgot he was talking to Khushi, who he loved very much, who always supported him, and taken care of his di. He did not realized what he said in his anger. On the other hand, Khushi was trying hard not to break down in front of him. However, her eyes were moist and she was very hurtful by his words. She never thought he could actually think something like this. First, he didn't trust her. She forgave him thinking he did whatever he did to only protect his di. But now, this..how can he think that she is jealous...jealous of his di? She knows he said all these in his anger and didn't mean to say something like this, but still it hurts. This is unbearable for her. He has gone over the limit now...
Arnav was about to walk away, but Khushi, holds his hand form behind by his wrist. She whips her tears and comes in front of him. She faces him and says...
Khushi: Arnavji...I didn't know you think about me like this...anyways I asked di to work because I cannot see her like this. I cannot see her in illusion anymore. If di wasn't pregnant, I would have told her way before about her husband cheating on her. But since she is , I don't want her to break down and go to depression when she actually learns the truth about her husband. I told you guys before that it's not right to make her feel that she is not normal and abnormal with her one leg. But, if you guys still want to think that then, it's not my problem. I cannot help with that. By the way, have you ever thought about her dreams? what does she wants? what about her desires? You never thought about her and you say you care for her, but have you ever thought that she might also thirsty to fulfill whatever she might have desired, dreamed of? She may never speak her wishes, but you are her brother. At least you should have ask her if she want to go out and work. Didn't you here today, when I was asking her about her dreams and working out, her eyes were twinkling and glowing with full of her wishes and dreams. I asked her to work her not because I am jealous of her, but I want her to be an independence, so tomorrow, when her so called husband's truth comes out, she doesn't have to be depended on anyone else or face the taunts that world may throw toward her saying, look this woman living on brother money and many more things to her. I don't want her to be weak. But I guess, you lack the understanding of what I am trying to say and you won't understand that because you are not woman na...I forgot, how can men understand women's pain? this is all I wanted to say...saying this she left to washroom to freshen up.
Arnav stands there all numb. He realized his words to her and now regrets. He gets angry on himself thinking how can he hurt her saying something like this when he knows how much she cares and loves his di. He waits for Khushi to comes out and apologies to her.
After a while, she comes out of washroom to find Arnav standing in front of her. He looks at her with his tearful eyes. A tear rolls down his cheek seeing her red and puffy eyes. She must be crying inside, thinks Arnav.
Arnav: Khushi..
Khushi: Arnavji..it's late and I am tired. I want to sleep. I have to wake up early tomorrow morning as I have to asks di about her decision. She looks up to find him starring at her.
Khushi: why are you starring at me...I am not going to regret whatever I told di, just because you are angry. Then, muttering to herself, She is my di too, at least for six months until out contract gets over. However, Arnav hears that and feels more guilty. Muttering to herself , she turns the light off and sleeps turning away her back to Arnav's side of bed. Arnav too gets in bed and sleeps thinking he will say sorry to her in the morning.
Next morning,
Khushi woke up early and is in kitchen preparing for breakfast.
In Anjali's room...
Anjali gets ready for morning puja and was coming out of room when she sees Shyam coming out of washroom. Anjali thinks this is good opportunity to talk to her husband regarding her working first.
Anjali: suniye.
Shyam: jee..rani sahiba..
Anjali: I though so much last night and now I think I should work. I mean I want to work.
Shyam: but rani shaiba..why do you want to work? why you need to work. actually he was thinking if she goes to work, she will be far away from him and will start to believe others easily against him which is dangerous for him.
Anjali: are..why's the need? I want to work. Actually, it was my dream to be a businesswomen, but never got to fulfill it as we got married. When yesterday, Khushi asked me about my dream and suggested me to work so that I also can be free from my burdens. Also, I can do something different, than only puja and all religious all day.
Now Shyam is getting angry as he kind of gets idea that Khushi may be trying to divert Anjali's mind form him, so that she can tell her the truth and believe her over him.
Shyam: no rani sahiba..you cannot work. I mean to say your are pregnant. How can you work in this condition?
Anjali: are..I am not talking about now. I will start working after the baby is born. And even if I start working now, what is the problem? I will work at AR. So, I won't have to face many problems as of now.
Shyam: no, you will not work, neither now, nor after the baby is born you get that?
Anjali: now getting hurt...but why..why can't I work?
Shyam: too angry...no means no..once I refused means refused. I don't like to repeat myself.
For sometime, they continue arguing regarding the job. At last, Shyam gets so much angry that he actually raises his hand on her. He was about to slap her, but is stopped by other hand. Both Anjali and Shyam get shock and look up to find Khushi holding his hand.
Shyam: Khushiji you?
Khushi: yes me...I was passing by and heard some noises form this room, so thought to come and see. But I am shocked to see you slapping di..How could you jijaji?
Shyam: look Khushiji..it's between us. don't you interfere between us.
Khushi: why not jijaji? you were about to slap di and you are asking me to stay out of this? If others get to know...leave others, if Arnavji gets to know about this..I don't know if we will find you alive next moment. How can you raise your hand on your wife. That to who is expecting. looking at Anjali, di you tell me what is the matter? I know it;s not right to poke my nose between you two, but I cannot stay quite either. Now, the matter has gone out of all the boundaries.
Anjali: woh..princess..I asked him to let me work, be he got angry and was about to slap me. She said while sobbing as she cannot believe he was actually about to hit her.
Khushi: JIJAJI..do you know the what the result would come out of your action? Actually, I don't need to tell you as your are a lawyer yourself. I am sure you know the laws. And why cannot di work? She is a woman. She also has desires, dreams, and wishes. What you want..huh..that she stay at home and worship you all day whereas you are absent for don't know how many days. Have you ever thought about your wife? She to desires that her husband spend sometime with her and take her out. Do something she likes. But don't know what is your work that keeps you away from her many days and even months...
Shyam was shocked and angry by the way Khushi was asking and telling him about his carelessness. He feels that now his truth is very near to disclose front of all Raizadas. On the other hand, Anjali was too surprised to see Khushi fighting for her with her husband. She now starts thinking about her neglectfulness toward Shyam's excuses and behavior. She actually starts admiring Khushi for the way she stands up for women and their rights. Not wanting to throw out of RM, Shyam fakes his tears and tries to manofies Anjali.
Shyam: I am sorry, RS (raani sahiba)...I didn't realize what I did in my anger. I am sorry. You know na how much I love you and our baby. It's just that I don't want you to stress yourself out. That's all. That's why I refused to work.
Khushi saw his falseness and hopes Anjali not to forgive him easily.
Fortunately, her DM heard her prayers.
Anjali: it's okay, but you shouldn't have raise your hand. Khushi is right. I didn't like your behavior today.Now, even I am curious to know that what kind of your work is that you be absent for days and months.
Shyam: looks at Khushi angrily.. and turns to Anjali...RS I know I stay away from you for days but you know na my work...the cases..
Nani, mami, Arnav, and PayKah were standing out of the room by the door listening to their conversation . They came there as they heard the noises. However, they were shocked to see the fight between Anjali and Shyam. Akash and Arnav were about to move and stop Shyam from hitting Anjali, but were startled by Khushi, who without noticing them, entered the room and stood up for Anjali. They were so happy to have Khushi as their daughter-in-law, sister, bhabhi, and a wife. Arnav now was feeling more guilty and miserable about whatever he told her last night.
Inside the room, Anjali raises her hand and puts in the air to stop him..bus..I don't want to hear any of your excuses. All Raizadas hide behind the dooras they see Anjali leaving the room taking Khushi along with her.
